I've been talking with Jordan about hosting various different movies, and seeing what we can do. Currently, he's really wrapped up in the leaderboard at the moment. On top of that he's started working on GTP7. Oh... I think he's trying to fit a life outside here as well.daan

Do you have an estimate on bandwidth it takes to host one?daan
I host a couple small vids, but they don't get much traffic. Curious to know what kind of traffic a GTP GT4 WRS winners video would get. With around 80 racers, I'm sure it's a lot. I may be able to host them depending on traffic. I'm sure the first week is the worst and then it dies die a lot after that.
Another thing that I would be worried about is getting them to me. I think I can receive files that big in my email, but I'm stuck on dial-up for a while longer (not really a problem, just takes a while to receive the vid then upload it.).

As an example, Hugo's WRS95 was downloaded 40 times, in one week, at 7.3mb a time = 292mb, but it's going to be a lot more now with more racers. In the grand scheme of things it's not that much and something that I could easily sustain.
Now, however....
On the 9th of April, 4GB-worth of info was downloaded from my site. I'm only allowed 20GB a month....
The really annoying thing is, my webspace provider should provide me with how much bandwidth is used per day. On the current month, they are giving me info on only 6 of those days, and on those 6 days, I'm already up at a total of 10GB. If/when I get hit with the bill, I'm not going to be a happy bunny. How do they expect me to manage my bandwidth if they don't tell me what it is???
I've also got an expense notifier set up. Once the extra bandwidth costs reacha certain amount, they should email me. I'm assuming I'm well above bandwidth, yet I have recieved no email.

I have 100GB of bandwidth per month and only use 5GB of it.
I got in on a promo though when I upgraded and get a really good deal. I originally did it so I could host a few of my personal videos that I still haven't gotten around to making yet.
My website costs me $10 a month (4GB storage/100GB transfer).
Regular price is $20 a month through the same host.
That also includes 5 domain name registrations in that price.
Very good traffic log and also has web statistics just to barely touch on the extras.

I thought so too when I got in on the first promo... 2 years of FREE! hosting at 500mb storage/5GB bandwidth. I used that package for almost the full 2 years (20 months) before they offered me the new 4GB/100GB package for $10.
During that 2 years of free service I had NO pop-ups and NO advertising. NOTHING but space for me to do whatever I wanted with.
So if anyone is looking for hosting or better hosting, I highly recommend them. 👍

In my country I have unlimited upload and download for 40$ per month so I can set an ftp and host any files but my upload is only 24kbps :/
But I have some idea - can someone set an BitTorrent Tracker ??????? it will make yours servers capacity(load ?) less (almost 0 I think ?) and then all ppl will share files 4 each other.
