Weekly Race Series, Week 1 RESULTS!!!

I guess we will see how good those classifications were after this next race or two.

I dont think it would be wise to call anyone a sand bagger just because you didnt get a time in the top of your class.

Fact is, you may have had an awesome time on the classification testing and then only done average on the racing.

Good luck in the future, but if you dont do well compared to the class your in, dont take it out on the other racers.

Just take credit for the loss and move on to the next race.

Show everyone that the intial rating was right, because remember that we can move down in class as well as up.

Actually I drive Auto trans and use the d pad on the controller for steering, and I feel like this is holding me back quite severly, at least in terms of steering because with the d-pad you either have full lock turn or perfectly straight, so its hard to finesse in and out of turns with my "tapping" method of steering.

Auto trans was particularly tough for me in the section between the 2 tunnels to keep it in 3rd through the hard right and then 4th all the way into tunnel 2 with out any slight downshifts, I think I might not have even made it on my best run.

I wanted to get in the 1:17's really bad, but after so many laps I lost patience

Anyway, glad you enjoyed the replay, I enjoyed making it!

I knew my time wasny safe enough. Had alot of fun though. I actually had a time .325 seconds faster but it was already past the deadline for me. Cant wait to get on the next race!

Congrats go to Tallentless, or rather Talented. He should actually be in the Pro's as he is a great driver. Good job man 👍. Congrats t the podiums in all three classes! ...

There's a lot of strength in depth in this series. It will be interesting to see how much the Ams and Beginners will improve as the series progresses. Well done everyone.

Could there be? I would like to see how I stand against some other racers, see how they race, and see where I can improve my driving. You know I can do a 'Race Report' like what Duby did with the GT3:SCC if you would let me for each race. It was always hilarious since he did it like a sports caster (using made up characters) and made it like they were reporting on the race live...

If the Race Report is something that you would like to do for the end of each race, then by all means. Might be nice to have a little color commentary to go along with the races.

As far as overall standings are concerned, I don't see that happening, but it could be a possibility.

Thanx guys for the replays!!! Learned a lot from them, mostly that I have to get a better wheel!!! You've provided me w/the first grahic example of the limitations of the Logitech 80% Braking Glitch. It's AMAZING how much further you guys go into each corner w/100% Braking available!!! Not a lot of difference in our lines, but YOUR execution is much better. well, 7 of the Pro's are running PAL. I'm not sure what HRT is running. Boom , likely hasn't had a chance, and Quattro Bro doesn't have a sharkport.

If you're looking for a wheel, Rumor has it the MOMO is the best out there. Make sure you get he leather bound wheel, as the cheaper rubber wheel is for PC only.

I'm downloading RER's at the moment as well.

Well,... I dinked around with race one for a little bit,. thought I'd submit just for kicks. Well,... I wasnt accepted because I hadnt registered. So, I went and registered. Now I'm being told I need to run a qualifier to decide what group I belong in. Well,. thats plain ol' dumb for me to do cause I belong in the top group,.. no questions asked. But,.. if I have to qualify,.. I'll be tempted to run 1 lap and call it good. Most likely "officially" placing me in a less experienced group,. wich would be sandbagging. So, if I could just get the all the hoopula outta the way,... and am not forced into running a ridiculously obsolete race,.. I might try 👍

Well if I can get in the Amateur group w/AT & a Logitech Wheel I'm sure you'd start out closer to the top than I did. Besides I'm sure there'll be some up or down movement as the group stabilizes, some drop out, new guys join. Boom says he plans for it to last indefinitely. Just go lap the Evo once, nobody should accuse you of "sandbagging", besides what would that accomplish.??? Everyone should progress to their max potential regardless of which division they started out in. I'm rambling...UB57
