Gokents, on top of that, I did a little more tweaking to the setup and found it a little too loose,

I gotta let you check those settings out. . . Same story folks, you need the help go for it, I

would even go as far as try to tweak the settings that CarbonFiber Man gave,

It really depends on your driving style, if you like to throw the car around and feel

comfortable like that ask Gokents for some settings. If you like a stiff car that will

grip take Carbon's settings, if you want some broderline settings between the two pm me.

Ok, just did a few spins around the track here and this is where I'm at so far.

T1: 24.702
T2: 1'05.856
Current HP: 511

There are still buckets of time to get rid of here as well and it will all be dropping off once I get this thing to full power.
Here is my preliminary set up. I think that there is LOT's of tweaking still yet to do to her, but this is where I'm at so far.

Here it is, I really like the gear set up.

8.7/18.0
100/120
10/10
7/7
4.0/3.0
-0.5/0.0
2/4
24/24 A "must do" IMO to get this thing to slow down.
30/50/5
ASM: 0
TCS: 0

Gears:

1st: 3.371
2nd: 2.459
3rd: 1.883
4th: 1.503
5th: 1.252
6th: 1.087
AUTO: 18
Final: 4.000

Well, just threw down:

T1: 24.5
T2: 1'05.200
Current HP: 517
Current Milage: 118

But, I'm missing a single layer of paint from a extremely light wall touch.
So it's a not gonna be a clean save.

But it was a drop of .890 seconds from my previous total lap time. :D

For anybody interested, heres the Official FIA Circuit Map for Monaco / Cote D'Azur

Splits so far:

24.8 / 1'06.9

Boom, I'm wondering where you're picking up .4 on me before T1. My guess is that it's through Casino (the left at top of the hill through the right onto the downhill straight - some other track maps call the left Massenet and the right Casino).

Can you walk me through how you're taking that section - braking, line, gears, etc?

1st session seeing T2's of 24.0 / 1.04.8 as best sectors so far .. lots of setting work to do on the NSX though and more to come off ;)

Best clean save has 24.3/1.05.3

Early days still :) laters

T1-24.314 T2-1:05.671

Boom: Thanks for the setup.👍 It made the week much simpler. I have submitted my time, just in case.

PS: Is it a hassle for you when I update.

Hey no problem with the set up. 👍

As for updates, if you could keep them to an absolute minimum, that would be easiest.
My PM box get's quite cluttered. ;)

There, the 1'04 I was waiting for. :D I expect I should be able to get one too with Boom's settings ;) - especially the brakes at 24/24 should help a lot, forgot to do this, despite earlier recommendations of the sort.

Yesterday I spent a little time improving my Seattle driving, which is sorely needed. It's very likely I'll be spending most of my GT3 time on racing all sorts of Arcade cars at tracks I'm still weak on now, as I don't want to look too bad at the big international iLink event coming up 31 May/1 June. Some of the best Germans are going to be there (Flinx, Honeycar, and even JMR if Famine shows up - these three are really awesome! All a tough opponent even for Mr.P no doubt  )

Yes all very tough opponents and a bit more skilled at this game than me :( but hey we all meet our match eventually ;)

watch out for JMR at this I-link he is a specialist at live comps/ venues something like German I-link champ for 2 or 3 years back to back and Arco was at them gigs  good idea would be to spike his drink very early on the day :D  have a great meet you guys 👍

Got a few more laps in 24.4 1'06.0 ...adopted Booms gear setup which i like yet to try his full setup cheers Boom ;)

Another day, a bunch more laps and:

T1: 24.3
T2: 1'06.4 (on a lap with a 25.2 T1  )

I think I'll probably end up somewhere in the mid-to-low 1'05's by the end.

i'm alive. that's about it though. this car is for **** and this weeks run at the GTL is a fun one (arcade 390 gt1 @ tokyo II)

I took some settings from a full mod arta nsx put them on this beast and this car has adopted a better feel altogether ;)

I'll post them as soon as i boot up my ps2 , best save has 24.2 /1.05.2 and .7 up on my old save 👍

I wont be running monaco much this week as i'm currently homing in on a low 1.20 on TT1 much more fun :D laters:cool:

I wonder if we will see a 1'04 from you guys :) Not been on this since wednesday ..Don't think i will get any quicker this week..;)

Indeed! I just saw the results of a recent challenge though and JMR and Flinx are extremely well matched, they were so close you have to separate them in the OK.

I've got a clean save in the bank from wednesday, haven't improved and I think I'll probably leave it at that for this weeks racing. (unless that Venom guy beats me :mischievous: )

I'm going through one of my ' I'm bored with GT3 phases' until a challenge I actually enjoy/look forward to comes up... 'til then, I'll be in the casinos at Monaco  :D

Have you seen that GT World Series challenge at GT3Times, with the non race cars modded to a power-to-weight ratio of 2.7-3.1? It looks like it's going to be a blast. There will be lots of different cars taking part, which will make this very interesting. There are some very good drivers entering, and the deadline for picking your car and entering is still two days off. It's a long running series with quite a few races, but once you've picked a car you can start running any of the races, as long as you submit a run bij the deadline. The first deadline is 18 May, so you have some time to work ahead for weeks that you have less time, and to get to know your car and setting it up. It was great fun last time (I read about it, wasn't there yet then) and this time more drivers are joining in. I think I just managed to convince Made in Holland to take part, Famine and the Missing Link are in there already, as well as the mighty kart.no.38, ac.cobra, me of course :D and many others. You might want to check it out if you haven't already.

Thanks for the setup Mr.P! I tried Boom's but couldn't work with it, but I knew I had pretty maxed out the possibilities of my own setup (I suck ... ) ... Now I'm only just starting to get the hang of Flinx's setup but I got a 24.2 and a 1'05.4 and can certainly see more coming off.

EDIT: now I had a 24.7 and a 1'05.4 ... :odd:
EDIT: new clean lap with a 1'05.5. Plenty of improvement posisble though. Just got to keep it clean. :D

EDIT: Decided to try again. I used my own gear settings, so I tested the gear settings above, but I just couldn't get used to them. Then I went back to my own gear settings, and within a few laps I got me a 1.04.7! Darn for that tiny little tap after T2 though. :banghead:

EDIT: Took a small break and then had another shot ... now I have a CLEAN 1'04.8 :D ... This is a lap I'm not ashamed of finishing this round with, thank god. :D Though on the other hand if I want to win I may need to shave off a few tenths still. :mischievous: But for now it's time for shopping and stuff.

I think i will have to give these settins a go :D couple of 1'04's i see nicley done peeps 👍

I hope i can get into the 1'05's and i will be happy with that

Cheers :)

New clean save:

24.5
1'06.0

I can see where more time could come off, .200 or more before T1, another .100 through Portier, and a final .200 through the second half of the swimming pool.

Don't know if I have the patience ... the second half of swimming pool does me in every damn time :irked: I think I've only gotten through perfectly once.

The big guys are doing some kind of TT1 shoot out, so I'm having a better change at getting that number one spot than usual. :D My only worry seems to be Mr. Boom as he's reported to be a Monaco specialist - but he's been quiet and now has some catching up to do. :mischievous:

I'll be running this one again tomorrow to try to get me a safetynet of a few more tenths. :D

Since them bigguns are silent, I'll give you guys some tips ... In general, stick to the slow (and wide) in, fast out principle you no doubt heard before, but it's easy to forget about it on this track. :D If you want a fast T1, you'll have to keep this in mind in particular as the hill just before the T1 line can only be taken fast if you drive straight over it, so you need to make sure you've already completed the turn before ...

Also make sure that you get a good exit speed before a long straight - it counts for a lot at this track. And as it is often important to drive as close to the wall as possible without having to buy some extra paint, if you use in-car view like I do, keep very well in mind at which side of the car the drivers' seat is positioned. It seems silly to make that count, but here it makes the difference between winning and losing a few tenths.

Hope that helps a little. Obvious stuff perhaps, but still easy to lose track of in this race ...

Cheers for the tips Arwin ;)

Cheers Ron for the setup ;)

I ran a few laps not long ago (a few  try Two hours  ) Anyways i got my first 1'05.8 took .2 off my best lap from the 1'06 run so i was almost content to leave it at that..
But being me i kept going got another 1'06 but i pulled .9 out of the bag from the 1'05 run  Thats me just realising that im taking the last corner all wrong

I was quite happy with my time allthough i knew it's gonna be tight amongst the amatuers..Now pulling that much time off im gonna need to push that wee bit harder to get those few extra tenths ..Not gonna be easy though

Good luck all :)

Hey guys sorry i have not posted any times this week i have been very busy only had a couple of hours on race 12. Seems like this car and course is not for me i have pushed for a fast lap but only go off.
