Hey Flerbizky, try raising the stabalizers to keep the car more firm going into a turn, along with that you should setup the bound and rebound with stock springs. Doing this will give you and idea what ratio you should have spring rate compared to bound and rebound giving you a firmer car, which will allow the more stable brake and turn even in off balance situations. :D

I do have 4 cars on my mind for this race, I haven't had time to test them due to Mortal Kombat being played on my PS2 currently. But I will be back with a vengance this week :D

I don't know what type of engine just yet, but I have a feeling the FRs have a distinct advantage on this course. Especially with two off balance turns that will send a MR into a wall. I don't think this week the Japanesse are in contention, but some of the pros will prove me wrong on that bit.

I think the problem is that the car don't actually HAVE brakes :D

But thanks Miata.. I'll try your suggestions tomorrow after a little less wine :)

Cheers

If it doesn't have brakes, does it have downforce? try putting a stiffer suspension in the front then rear I believe. . . Yeah that should work, you need weight transfer to the rear. . . make sure bound and rebound are stiffer in the front then rear. It will effect your turning though, but the braking will do you more good.

By my research there are 15 cars that are going to be used. I am guessing that 6 cars are not going to be mentioned. They might have what it takes, but I don't think they will win it this race.

Tried about 10 different cars, quite a few look promising:

My best sector times:

T1: 23.6
T2: 50.3

Lots to come off, I don't know DF much at all (It's one of the tracks that I often skipped when playing the game).

Any general tuning tips for DF?

Anything that's gonna get your car to turn better.

So generally a low front spring and a high rear spring. Same with stabalizers.
A slight negative front toe to hold those turns better should help ya out too.
If ya got a car with downforce, max it out.

A tad more camber than usual too.
There are alot of turns a DF that are off-camber, (meaning that the road slopes away from the dirction of the turn.) Increased camber should help you out a bit with that.

Ok tested out two cars my first choice didn't quite cut it ..But im gonna give it another go..

Best save 21.7 47.0 still a few minor bugs to iron out setup wise but other than that it's pretty sweet..

Nice racing Pedro! I hope I can give you some serious competition... ~1sec slower than u..

/D

And that is indeed a sweet car... Guess that would've been picked by many if the limit were 600Bhp...

Yeah, damn limit. Damn boom :grumpy:

I wanted to use my ZZII :(

But nah, its all good, I've got no idea what to use, its all good.

Are we allowed to use prize cars (tuner versions) for this one?

Well ive got a couple new car choices since i first posted up my splits, after about a 5 lap run w/ each one of em got me like a low 22/48.1 and the other gave me a 22.6/48.6. I'll probably go w/ the first one as i think it has more potential

You can use any car including prize cars as long as it's not a race car or exceeds the 500Bhp mark..
Dunno about Tuner cars ..Are you talking about GT-R R Tune, Mines cars etc..?That im not sure about..

Nice sectors Mr P i wonder if you're using the same machine i am :)

Well last night in the testing staging I did of five laps each car of 10, my best was a 22.5 and I think a low 48 or very high 47, not sure. I did have one car I used with stick suspension settings that landed a 24.0xx and a 48.5xx that I might just take, unsure as of now.
