You can win the car in Professional league, in either the Gran Turismo All-Stars series OR the Dream Car Championship series.

Don't forget to save after the second to last race so you can re-load if your prize car is not the GT-One.;)

Can you say TCS set at 10 everybody? :D

goig to give this one a whirl also. hopefully won't get whipped again after putting in 700 miles :bowl:

Wow This should be interesting,I think I have about 15 laps there, none good-but the last several weeks have taught me alot, now its time to put it to work

Later,
cinjun8

Does anyone have a car on their sharkport they could send to me? Mine has 1450 Miles on it-just thought I would ask while I am still here,I havnt searched for it yet and would rather spend my time on Complex than re-racing to get it.I am going to check out the search now.

Thanks,
cinjun8

So far on my first clean lap, and lots and lots of room for improvement!

36.4,1.36.3,2.33.3,

later!

I dont have anytimes for the moment, but damn this car is fast.

Basically fellas, lets get real about this and take the weekly back to what it was ment to be. (to me atleast)

... A competition amongst rivals and a learning experience for everyone in general... (except the fastest pro's as they will be teaching us :D )

Im feeling a need to improve on my transmission tuning skills.

I put down a nice set up, but on the tranny, I had an intresting "problem."

I ran the straight and topped out at about 245, but then I pulled down the final drive, and up'ed the slider value to a wider setting.

The car made it down the straight faster after the adjustments, but topped out at a lower speed. (about 243)

I know there are variables such as the exit on the final turn, but I was hoping someone could help me out with some general concepts driving the "final drive ratio."

Exactly what it does, means and affects the car as well as how to adjust it properly without quick tricks such as the infamous "tranny trick."

Thanks for the help fellas.

Btw, I am looking forward to seeing how p, mih, boom and max pull this race to the next level.

Im also looking forward to some nasty racing between idafc and I.

Miata ;) you better get in on this one too... bring it on punk. :D

As for the rest of you guys, I dont remember you all too well, so show me what you all are learning, especially you cinjun and suprajef , I'll have an eye on you two.

Lets keep it clean fellas...

GET IT ON!

hmm, may have to take part in this weeks race.....not a huge fan of the car, but oh well, the track should prove quite intresting in terms of times, alot of places to make and lose time. so we will see

Sweet this track cannot be run in reverse, so I know I wont **** it up like last week :banghead:

No need to worry about me GoKents, I'm not as fast as you guys!

But I sure will try and I also love this car and track! So Good Luck Everyone!

0.0 This is what you give us for the semi-annual anniversary?! Sounds like fun :D. I actually can't wait to see how well this car does on the Complex String. One thing's for sure; T8s and max rear DF (no, I'm not doing the wheelie trick, but I don't want to go spinning out either...). Actually, if you set it up right you can have that car out-performing an F1, so this should really be a good race...

Hey dont worry about ideas like that...

This week is gonna take us back to the roots of the weekly.

This is about learning to be a faster racer.

Not showing your the fastest.

(*that is of course basing the statment on a prioritizing of end goals for my experience in the weekly race competition.)

Just run with us and things will be great, especially this week.

A good turn out makes for an awesome race.

I'm not missing out on this one 👍

Ummm, yeah, I just lost all hopes of doing well in terms of race standings.

I'm about 10 seconds off of the t3 of mrp's. (that means Im pulling a clean 2.28.0)

Im gonna keep working at it, but I need help on the tranny, as I set the default up again and still dont really know about the ideas of a final drive. (atleast well enough to take advantage of)

Point is...:banghead: Im working on improving and hope to pull out an alright time.

Just learning and improving, thats what its about now.

I finally have a sharkport, so now Ive gotta get to that next level. lol.

till my updates...

Best times:
T1: 0'38.475
T2: 1'39.797
T3: 2'37.375

I'm looksing to cut at least 20 seconds off my overall time though, so these are bound to get faster...

Here's my gears, straight forward no tranny trick ;)

3.247
2.072
1.466
1.091
0.855
0.705
final 3.769 auto 40

we seem to be aound about the same speed at the end of the straight, maybe the gears will help you in the corners .

Might as well post the whole set up while I'm here :D

9.0 / 10.5
115 / 105
10 / 10
10/ 10
1.0 / 1.0
0.0/0.0
7 /7
24/24
60/50/50

max downforce
asm 0 tcs 6

if you want a run through of any of the sections just say ;)
but no full lap run through it would take a decade to type that

good luck weekly racers 👍

I will give my set up to those who ask, but the concepts of my new setup ideas are based around the fact that there are far too many curbs/rumblies to ignore during tuning.

There fore, I use a soft dampening/rebound on the rear to compensate for the relativly high (13.?) rear spring rate. (as to induce oversteer)

Then I use soft front springs with only a slightly higher dampening rate/rebound on the front.

Then the aerodynamics are based around the idea that the front needs force on the ground to grip, in combo with keeping that nose down on the hills.

Then its off to the races.

Camber seems to be a waste when increased, as its decreasing "normal driving grip," outwieghs its ability to increase grip only in the long "circle slalom," or other long turns.

Thanks for the other mr. p, your helping... I have the exact same gearing going for me, but I had changed it for a time. Im just gonna keep it where it is.

That setting has worked quite well for the track and it almost seems like the makers had this car/ track combo in mind when they made the game.

This could be the best feelings car track combo I have had during the weekly series to date.

no idea what i'm doing. ron has already posted a faster time then i will all week. i'm about a light year away from a decent setup posting 2'23's so far and that's after a good 10 laps already. hopefully i can finish in the top 5 in the pro division the way this is going
