Well you could try and keep up with him or maybe beat him.

Or atleast remind the rest of us how fast you are (even with p showing us how fast he is.)

Or if you are really feeling slow, you could just try and not let me catch up to you on this one.

I pulled something that will end up probably some where around 8-10 seconds behind you. (estimating myself to be 10-15 behind p)

We also gotta hear from mih, and boom, you know they are both fast, and actually, I just laid out the reasoning for why you will end up in the top ten... mih, boom,p,odp, and you... thats the top 5 straight up. Its a race for the rest of us after that. (sorry to be so blunt fellas)

Oh yeah, I wanted to mention that this race is just plain out awesome.

Im lovin this track, it seems like every lap is faster than the one before, its almost impossible to put together a single "perfect" lap.

Im just looking for a good lap, or maybe even an alright one... actually, right now Ive got an alright one, but soon I hope to have an awesome one.

Hmm, havent touched this yet...been working all day. dont know if i'll get to it tonight either, the rug in my "game room" was just cleaned cuz it was starting to get a little...worn..haha. so its all damp and craps moved all around in there. I could bring the PS2 out to the computer but i cant race on this little ass monitor. I'll probably get to it tomorrow night when i get off work. dont know what to expect yet this week, I hope i can make a better showing than I did last week but im not expecting very much. these posted settings will help me greatly as Im definently gonna wanna focus more on the actually racing than spending half my time trying to set the car up myself

Just put down another small session...

Yeilded results that weren't half bad... a dirty lap set a new standard to work towards... 34.7 t1. (the lap was clean until somewhere between t2 & t3)

I also managed a clean lap that was a full 5 seconds faster than the last clean save.

I recorded it and plan on working at getting something even lower.

That clean lap had a 2.26.0 t3

Its not great, but its fine for me at the moment.

Here's an update on my status, i'm still learning how to tune car properly so ill post mine, but no one is to laugh!

Just had a first 6 lap run w/ this tonight to get an idea of how much work im gonna have to do this week, so far my best save has 35.9/1'31.0/2.26.8 so its a decent start so far since it was only 6 laps. I dont remember if it was clean or not. I didnt notice anything jumping out at me when i watched the replay but i coulda swore there were a couple spots where i had 3 wheels go off at one point or anything...i'll have to comb thru the replay again and check. Im using Mr P's settings, they seem to work quite well 👍 I have a question on one of the sections, its the one w/ all the 90 degree turns..whats the best way to get thru that smoothly and fast? I feel like i go too slow thru there but if i try to go faster i end up going off. I think im gonna have fun w/ this one this week, great car choice boom 👍

After my first session with a worn out car I've got a clean save of:

35.103/1.30.388/2.23.520

I haven't tried anyone else's setup (I usually never do, I like to do my own as part of the challenge) but I'll post what I'm running if anyone feels like they can handle this beast, It's setup for a little oversteer...:mischievous:

5.0/12.0
65/80
10/10/10/10
2.0/1.5
-1.0/-2.0
4/5
24/20
LSD = 10/30/15
Auto 40
1.00/1.05
TCS = 5

Don't try it unless you've got a steady throttle thumb (or foot)
:P

And IDAFC, just try to trace smooth lines through the square corners and apply and release the throttle smoothly. It feels like your crawling but it just seems slow because you're going so fast the rest of the time.;)

You guys are forgetting that Mr.P has been running Time Trial ten for the T.T. Leaderboards recently so that's probably helping him a little bit. I'm pretty happy with my first session time as I saw several areas for improvement, and I have all my lines and brake points established, just a matter of execution now (and a fresh car mine's gubbed) As soon as this week's over I know what I'm going to be working on. TT10! I want to get a sub 4:40 on that one:D

OK, I think it's high time us GTP'ers did a little damage to the records over at Racing-line. Let's see how high we can all get after this week's run.:)

OK'S last night started hitting the 2'21's but still not locked in with the setup. won't spend too much time dicking around with it, i just need to get comfortable and run some sub 2'20 T2's those records are fairly booty and ateast 4 of us will beat arco's record i think, ron already has i assure you (though he has'nt told me) but i can't beat him this round nor do i bullschitt myself into believeing such crap. same with MIH as well. they have run this track alot more than i and after taking my best shot last week, Mr. Holland is showing that i am going to struggle just to get the podium here.

in any case, it's fun even though i don 't think anybody is ever quite comfortable in this car (not me anyway) even when they are fast.

Man this double posting and unable to edit stuff is annoying.:irked: I can't type that well to begin with.:dunce:

P.S. Max you can add me to the the list, I've already got Arco's time beat:embarrassed:

EVERYBODY COME OUT FOR THIS ONE!! WE NEED A RESURRECTION HERE OR A NEW COMP WILL HAVE TO BE SPAWNED!!!

we don't want that do we. I'm certainly not speaking for boombexus here, but due to the recent drop off in participation, it is looking like the classes will have to be dissolved or this comp be ended the way it's going. we need ATLEAST 20 guys this round so fukkin get to it fellas!!!

I was just pulling your leg bro, I wish I could run a 3.23...

if you run 1000 miles, i think you will. It's not about natural skills man, i honestly am not gifted whatsoever. i've just wasted thousands of hours running this doo doo game to get where i'm at. yes, you do need to have certain raw skills, but it's fairly obvious that you have them due to the times you run. all that is missing is the old herculean effort. then you can stop moaning about wishing you could run a 3'23  👍

Its pretty hard find time for sitting on you butt during the summer but i am going to try and get back into this.Haven`t used my ps2 for about 3 months but i am ready for some shouting a my T.V set again.

good. and thank you. all participation is welcome. who knows? you might teach me a thing or two.

Hmmmmm .... a 3.23 you say :mischievous:

Possibly i may be just ahead .....or just behind this time :P then again i might be under 3.20 :D

cya's at deadline guys and good luck

Maybe if people thought of The Weekly Series as practice for the upcoming GT4 ONLINE RACING experience, just think of how far ahead of the curve you would be,racing clean and fast as opposed to the hacks that inevitebility(sp?)will show up.
I ended up having to race to get a new car for this week, and I am amazed at how much better I am,without trying twice as hard like before I started here.

DONT LET THIS SERIES DIE PEOPLE!!!

Just my .02............

Later,
cinjun8

Oh, dont worry about that one...

gt4 isn't gonna be here for a while yet, and, the weekly is one of the best racing series out there.

Its been here for 26 weeks now, thats half a year.

I can say for sure that I will be in on the racing for some time to come, and trust me, others will be here too.

Some old, some new, but the weekly series isn't going anywhere as long as I can help it.

(oh ****, :( I just realized I have no control or say in this series. So I guess I will just be racing, not controlling the future for the series. :D )

Catch ya later tonight everyone... Im off to work now and its gonna be racing once I get home, so get ready for some updated times fellas ;)

I went to Sam Goody here where I live and asked when the release date for GT4? They said it was due Jan. 7th I think! boy I can't wait!

well i better go practice now!

Please no flaming if I am wrong:D

sorry guys i'm gonna have to give this one a miss as i have just returned from Margate. so i'll just wait untill the next race. sry to let you guys down. :(

At last i have a clean save :)

been running this for about 2 hours tonight and seen some nice sectors ...... 2.18.1 is my best T3 of the night , but my arse went and i mess up in the slalom :embarrassed:

Anyway my best save has a 2.18.9 and a great finish and nearly at my ideal time;)

nice car but with this course it is hell on earth to stay composed :P best of luck guys ... just hold it together ;)

I'll try again before deadline :banghead:
