no offence man but until u find a replay device i refuse to listen to any of your amazing T2's

you may be a daisy yes ! but until we see the proof of this then your sectors will go un-noticed by me ;) do the right thing soon man coz i'd rather see your work than hear about it :D

us regulars can tell u that we have been in situations like this time and time again  anyone can type any time they want but not all are genuine , i hope u are :mischievous:

usually the genuine ones are the people who are offended by a post like this and go out of there way to get there work put forward to the doubters ! i know as i've been there .

in other words ! PUT UP ! or PLEASE SHUT UP!

thanx man i hope u take this post as i intended it to come across

Thanxs Mr P for posting those settings up ;)

hmmmm,.... verrrrrry interesting,... I'll finally have some time to run at lunch today. Even if it is only for 20 mins,... I'd realy like to see where everything falls into place.

I'll be back after lunch with a final sysnopsis 👍

ok tranny trick is ....

make sure the car is at stock gears 1st by going into change parts and turn off full customization then put it back on again , your gears will be stock then :mischievous: go to gears now

then you go to the final gear and put it all the way to the far right , leave it at the top then move your auto setting all the way down to the left

then back to final gear and bring it back down to the number quoted ;)

thats the tranny trick :mischievous:

no need to mess with individual gears on this one but u can , just dont move the auto level or its back to the start as it will be gone then

remember this is Daans set up not mine ;)

edited important thing in post above

dont move the auto after u put it at bottom or its gone :(

Mucho thanks for the settings Mr. P, I wouldn't have tried running the springs so soft with the dampers so hard.

I ran the car more or less with your settings and didn't like the feel. So I WasteGated it, then gradually reverted back. As I did so my times tumbled.

I'm now at 46.279 (from 47.0), so mainly due to Mr P, a man who knows how to set up a car, and a gentleman.

THANX to Mr P & Daan
:D Although your settings yielded a Slightly Slower T2 time than I already had they enabled me to take off A FULL SECOND between T2 & the Finish Line!!! Car is much more stable thru those last 2 turns. THANX AGAIN!!!

Must be out of town for the weekend so will send my time in now. PLEEEEESE don't run your times "Out of Sight" while I'm gone, OK???...UB57
:D
:embarrassed: OOOPs!!! Best T2 w/AT & Wheel...46.870:embarrassed:

My early thoughts on Daans setup is good .;)

The car feels alot more stable than my previous settings and i,ve noticed more grip on some of the sharper turns (considering if they have been taken well).

I've been getting fairly consistent 46.8's 3 in a row to be exact ..Where as before 46.8 was a one off for me that produced my fastest lap so far.

I feel i have to adopt a different driving style for these settings to work for me It's almost like im starting the race from scratch but i can see some possibilities .

Im not sure if i done the tranny trick right 6th gear almost tops out at 295/6 kph going into turn 3 and also at the right hander just after T2 but it does not lose any speed .

I may have to alter the toe angles to suit my style .But i will run the settings for a good few 100km's at least before i do this.

I take it you guys are taking more F1 style lines while driving?
Thats the way these settings come across .

Thanks again to Dann for supplying the settings and thanks again to Mr P for posting them ;) :)

Based on the harsh resistance to Sandstorms times, I dont expect to be taken well.

But since I start working today, I thought I would come out with my t2 to date...

Before I had done any modding of suspension I managed a 49.778.

Then I used RER settings and managed a 47.175. (thanks agian red)

Now I just got to copy down the settings from Daan.

Im gonna go try these before work and see whats up.

Basically I am hoping to pull it down into the 46 area or just finish a good lap on the low 47 time.

Heres the thing.

I put down a 47.1, but my best lap is on a 47.3 or 4.

Even worse is the fact that the 47.3/4 has a bad second half.

So I plan on just doing a full lap with consistancy and then maybe worry about a 46.

I will be back tomorrow or later this afternoon before work.

Well, after much . . . um . . . crap, lets just say . . . I have managed to get my T2 down to abot 45.397, although having crashed on the last corner (the last 2 corners seem to catch a lot of people out, don't they?) my overall time is going to suffer. :irked:

first of all, i don't believe this time. secondly, the fact that this guy is claiming to pull it with an underpowered car makes it basically proven. you are full of **** and i'm cvalling you out now formally. boom, please do not let this guy's run count unless he can prove it. my 45.480 was with a fully charged car at 760hp and so fast i actually felt wind coming off the TV. this dude obviously does not realize that when the power drops, the performance drops radically. nobody in the world could run that split with a burnt out car and this has gone far enough. for somebody to do this they would have to be arco class which this guy definitely ain't or i would'nt have smeared him last round in a car that i suck hot ass in.

Okey-dokie,... I spun a few at lunch to finally get a grasp on WTF.

Here's my initial findings:
springs = 13/18 (Higher on rear seems to help spin and high speed cornering stability - To low on the front offers bad understeer)
RH at them moment is min/min,. not tuned yet
10/10
10/10
TA = -1/-1
I like Mr. P's 6/6/60 idea for the LSD so far,... but remember, once you take them off 5's, you run the risk of oversteering in the short corners. But off of 5's allows faster exit speeds.

TCS probably doesnt need to be higher than 3,.... mines at 2 right now.

Good luck racing
brian

BTE,.. I saw a T2 of 47.5xx with about 10 laps.

I decided to swap these round to see what happened ( too used the the greater value being on the front wheels)
And it turns out im running better mid section times still got to work on the very last corner as im losing quite a bit of time
I also added some Toe 1/1
New best save 46.2 but only a fraction off my best lap i also had a glimpse of a 46.005 but had to scrap that run as i scraped the wall comming up the hill after T1
I will give it a serious last ditch effort to try and gain time on the last turn tommorow
Then i think i will call it quits
my thumbs starting to get a blister :(

Also i was plesantly surprised to have beaten my best denso time (not by much ) but still beat it
My best Denso time was just over a second & half slower than Max E's time with the Denso I must be getting better. :)

I will need to run in a new Vertigo as i ran it for over 300km's without changing the oil and lost BHP down to 745..what a dumbass :embarrassed:

Total Km's ran this race so far 1053km,s

HI pedrodaman:
:D If you can access your Vertigo's .ini file, try this tip I gleaned from "Heydu" @ Hybrids & Gamesharks Forum.

Editing the oil lines in the ini should bring back full power.

480 =- 1
484 = 929924095

Sure beats buying a new ride & breaking it in to regain Max HP.
Hope this helps...UB57
:D

Well I just put down a new t2 record for myself.

47.074

However, the lap wasn't a keeper.

This means my keeper lap is still a t2 of 47.3??

I do want to mention some mods I have made to the RER setup.

I lowered the rear spring rate to 11.0

I changed the rear toe to 0 but kept the front at -2.

I changed the tranny to 31 overall.

The camber is at the original 2.0 and 1.0

The ride height is at 60 and 60.

Thought you guys would wanna try those out.

And good luck.

I also want to mention that this race has taught me a bunch of stuff about how to tune.

This is the sort of learning experience that boom was hopping people would get out of this.

I have gotten it and can only hope the next race will be a similar one in which we can play with settings and maybe even a faster car.

My saved, from yesterday, set up. I plan to further adjust it, and to try Mr. P's set up later.

Gran Turismo 4!

We spot a small section of the latest of the greatest racers through the garage door. It has been confirmed that video footage of GT4 will be unveiled at this May's E3. Although it will again feature indestructable cars (boo!), some of those indestructable cars will be Porsches and Ferraris (yay!), so that's alright. The game is said to be online only

Thats where i stopped reading

ONLINE ONLY!!!!!

What a bummer

if it's online only there is no chance in hell that i will go for it unless there is an extremely low monthly fee.

$15 or fewer.

I hate to burst your bubble,... hell will freeze over before broadband prices are $30 a month,... let alone 15. :(
