I have a new best lap that is .757 sec faster overall after 2 very minor tweeks. I finally made my goal time, but could see another .4 or so coming off if I get lucky with a clean lap. I keep blowing away my ghost but then have a tiny tap here or there...:irked: Unfortunately my new best lap has a slower T2 time of 41.288, but I smoked the second half to perfection. My best T2 that I noticed was in the high 40's somewhere. If I get time for one more good session in I think I can put up one hella good time.:D :mischievous:

i'm sure that as usual in laps on this track, we have a lot of competitors falling victim to "heartbreak bend" the little kink from hell before the last double righty to the frontstraight. sorry guys, it's a problem for ALL of us. my best advice is to either not sweat it and take it like any other turn on the track OR just take it slow, lose a bit of time, and get your lap. what i strongly recommend that you DON'T do. is to try and take it balls out and time after time tap the wall. the problem is that it is almost at the end of the track and if you start thinking about it before you even get there, you are up schitt's creek sans paddle. if you start getting like that where you are terrified of it, just trail break it a little (press the break while still flooring the throttle) and make the turn. many times i've gotten in a very bad rut at this turn and pissed away run after run after run. this gets you frustrated and then you're screwed. once you are aggitated, anxious, and frustrated, you really might as well just put it down for a while (i say about 20 minutes or so) get something to eat, watch a porno, smoke yet another joint (you know who you are), whatever relaxes you. when it's not there it's not there. don't waste your time.

you guys no that corner, um, how can i explain this, the one that is the first one you have to turn in the IA1.. how do you all take that? thats probably my worst corner in that track, i always lose so much speed.

I don't think I'll be able to do this weeks race. Winning another Pro Series race is out of the question, I don't have the patients to finish that series.

so far best T2 has been a 40.4 but best save lap has a 40.6

that turn at T1 is my worst bend i only have about a 50% success rate there lately

i reckon this will be very close in the results !
good combo all the same

laters

hmm....not gonna have as much time for this as i thought....i got asked to work tomorrow so im workin back to back now, 5pm-midnight tomorrow, then back at 8:30am-4pm on sunday...ehh. doubt i'll feel like doin much racin. but once again i have monday off so hopefully i'll be able to throw together somthin good before the deadline again

i'm back on it tonight and pissed away quite a few 40.2's and 40.1 t2's. thought my ship might not come in tonight and wasted alot of time (that's tokyo for you). anyway, i finally did manage a 40.152 in my current and likely final save. last sector was humming too but damned if i did'nt lose .2 in the last turn.

I've got 2 saves , none of them are 100% clean but the strange thing is my sector 2's and the final time for each lap... just shows that's there's lots to be made after T2

My fastest lap has a T2 of 41.6

The other lap which is only .1 slower overall has a T1 .2 slower and a T2 of 41.2 :irked:

Just had my first go at this. 41.1 best T2 so far.

EDIT: 40.8 now

i ran a T2 of 41.9xx on a clean lap i went down to 41.075. but i had some wall touching .. o well so far i have my best clean lap/..

ok after seeing Max's T2's i had to adopt a new method and my saviour came in the form of my Momo :mischievous:

run it for about 5 or 6 hours all in today and hitting some nice 40.1 and 40.2 T2's

best save so far has a 40.3 T2 with an unbelievably fast last section which took .6 off my best save

i might run a bit more before the deadline even though my save already has a podium stamped on it :D ........

.. i hope :P

Im getting less time for this race than any other I had been in so far.

Im putting down a few 41's here and there, but it is mostly in the 42 range. (low)

I woulnt really get the chance to race today, but if I dont drink tonight, I might get up early enough to race early sunday morning.

However, I know I will get time in on monday.

So the 40 somethings are in my sights, I just need to put down a good lap or two.

I think the main spots Im loosing time are in the long bend and on the... well, actually, I really dont know.

The first two turns are kinda funny for me because I can only get them right here and there, but when I do it, they feel like they are super fast.

It almost feels like the car was built for the course.

Got a 40.5 earlier, but didn't finish it ...but did manage a clean lap with ****ty 11.1 and 40.9 sectors, the end result being not too bad though :) I'll give that one a chase tomorrow, keep a check in your rear view mirror Max and Ron :mischievous:

thats me not long back from my trip ran a couple of laps got a T2 of 39.986 yee haaa

hahahahahahahahahahaha just kidding
still in the 41.2 mark will give it one last push to try and get a better result

I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to miss this race. I started the process of winning myself a R390, but haven't managed to get around to completing the championship.

Good luck everyone.

Welcome to the series! Don't worry, with some practice and advice from the fast guys you'll get better quickly.

Did you try using any of the tuning settings mentioned in this thread? If you haven't I would highly recomend you try them out as they can reduce lap times by alot.:D

Finally had a chance to sit down w/ this tonight and get some more laps in. And after some MINOR tweaking of Mr. P's settings, I have a new best T2 of 41.7, BUT, i did, by some act of god, manage to pull a clean 41.1...untill AFTER the T2 when I totally crapped out after i saw a 41.1 on the screen....haha. I dont know how much better im gonna improve on my t2 time, but i KNOW ive got lots to improve on after the T2, so hopefully i can put somthing together by tomorrow night. After i bunked that 41.1 tonight i just had no concentration after that point.....haha

well in the very limited amount of time i got to play this week i managed to win the R390, get my own setup that i thought worked quite well and then get a time that i was sort of happy with (although it will probably be pretty poor compared to some of you guys).
my final time had a T1 10.853 and a T2 42.098. i don't know if i'm taking a wrong line through the corners between T1 and T2 because i was never even close to some of your T2 times, i know i could have been a little faster if i had run a bit more downforce but no where near as fast as some of you. i tried to run a setup with more downforce but i wasn't able to get a clean lap that i was happy with so the time i ended up getting could have been better. ah well.

oh by the way do any of you guys use TCS or ACM? i personally don't because i think it takes some of the element of skill away from the driver. i don't know if it makes much difference to your times but i'd rather not use them... but thats just my opinion. anyway good luck to the rest of you and hope to see you next week.

if it is on the car I use it . it helps me on some of the tracks. I just dont crank them up to full, usually just on 1 or 2 for tcm 5-8 for asm depending on the car.
hav efun keep racing

Hey Honda man welcome to the series 👍 Most of the racers here are using TCS but not any higher than level 4 i would imagine
It really does help in gain those few extra tenths on a lap..
Also try more downforce Maximum at the front and around 1.20 to maximum on the rear..
Having high downforce means you will have a lot of drag on the straights but it's the corners that count
I never use ASM when racing as it restricts the cars fluency around the track...

Hope this helps you out some

Good luck :)
