i'm sure that as usual in laps on this track, we have a lot of competitors falling victim to "heartbreak bend" the little kink from hell before the last double righty to the frontstraight. sorry guys, it's a problem for ALL of us. my best advice is to either not sweat it and take it like any other turn on the track OR just take it slow, lose a bit of time, and get your lap. what i strongly recommend that you DON'T do. is to try and take it balls out and time after time tap the wall. the problem is that it is almost at the end of the track and if you start thinking about it before you even get there, you are up schitt's creek sans paddle. if you start getting like that where you are terrified of it, just trail break it a little (press the break while still flooring the throttle) and make the turn. many times i've gotten in a very bad rut at this turn and pissed away run after run after run. this gets you frustrated and then you're screwed. once you are aggitated, anxious, and frustrated, you really might as well just put it down for a while (i say about 20 minutes or so) get something to eat, watch a porno, smoke yet another joint (you know who you are), whatever relaxes you. when it's not there it's not there. don't waste your time.
