Honestly I couldn't even make a turn with out it just spinning like a top before I switched the ride height to -9/2. I'm not sure why, but all of the vintage cars I drive seem to require that sort of gap before they will even start to be reasonable

Read post; scratched head; drove car. Got your point. I drove this car for several hours and probably started compensating for its flaws. Coming to it cold, I really felt the oversteer.

So, reset settings to default and started over.

PS. The default isn't too bad.

I'll rework; drive something else; try it again, and let you know.

Say, what controller are you using, JLawrence? Because DS3's lightning fast steering inputs can easily upset the car and cause the snappish behaviour you described. Since I have G27, my steering inputs can be more easily modulated than with a controller like DS3. I did have the Spit spin on me, but with few tweaks the rear end is far more controllable under all conditions without diminishing the agility of the car. Your setup had far too stiff spring rates for such a light car, amongst few other things. If you want/can, I'll race my revised version against yours online. Oh, and one other thing: this car desperately needs taller 5th gear. ;)

P.S. This little bugger did a 4-wheel drift all the way through last tunnel of GVS.. Impressive with that little power!

I'm using a Driving Force GT (I think, don't know much about the wheels). I did some more tweaking yesterday on it, and thought I was making progress until I took it to Grand Valley East and tried to slow down in sector two. I've now taken Highlandors theory and dropped the spring rates 15%, and given it a good amount of positive rear toe. I'd be happy to try mine against yours, and mine does have a taller 5th, I'm getting 145-160 depending on the straight/draft.

This thing just frustrates me so much. I mean I race a damn Spitfire in real life, I know how it should handle, and I know what its settings should be, but it doesn't do a thing for it.

145-160? I assume that's mph, mine barely gets to 110 (185kph) if I try really hard  When you see me online here, send PM and I'll give you a run. I'll do slight tweak to the tranny as well, to match your straight speeds.

I think you've got a little work to do on it then hmm? :P
I will probably be on around 7 or so Est tonight, then whenever tomorrow.

Does it have a big red button made to change settings on the fly?
FYI Grand Valley is a very over-steer biased track online, mostly in the hairpins.

Which is why you need to learn what each does in GT5, it makes things much smoother.
I would start with camber at 1.5 / 1.5 and toe 0.00 / +0.15.

It does indeed.

I'm workin on it. I just don't see why they would be so much different than in the real world.

Well, you still can't adjust KPI or tyre pressure in GT5, nor steering angle, nor individual corners..
