I was racing a 20% length online race at Sao Paulo, Safety Car comes out, during it, I get a random "Illegal Overtake" penalty, WITHOUT PASSING ANYONE.

Then, I have to take a drive through penalty. Also, in my career, I've made it up to Monaco with Williams, but still haven't seen the Safety Car in use. Does it matter with my penalties being on reduced/realistic? Thanks.

Weird indeed, but probably just one of those random bugs you get sometimes.

And don't be surprised if in career mode you rarely see the safety car, if at all - you usually need a big enough crash to trigger it, and the cautious nature of the AI means they're unlikely to cause one. I don't think reduced/realistic rules has an effect on this. Personally I'm gald it's this way though...........I was worried Codies would make it so that the SC was brought out 3-4 times every race, or something, which would've been awful.

I've actually seen it somewhat regularly, although I haven't really tested it since the latest patch.

Said bug has been reported quite a few times, I guess CM is aware of that, uh? Pretty random. :(

Sometimes there's even debris on track and it won't come out. Maybe I'll see it Monza turn 1?

Maybe the delayed notification (I have noticed in online races)of yellow and green flags in an incident/accident area has something to do with it?

This has probably been covered already but is there DRS in the actual season races? The manager comes on says "DRS enabled" but I never have the option to use it.

Pretty much sums up how glitched the safety car is.

That's messed up.

Yes, there is. You need a 1-second gap to the car ahead in the DRS detection zone, leading onto the DRS zone (Usually the longest straight).

There is a glitch in the game that means you can't use it when passing backmarkers, even though they do in reality. So if you start on pole and remain in the lead, you can never use it.

Thank you sir.

I'm sorry but I'm getting it all the time when passing backmarkers. I have to agree, sometimes it's not being enabled but I guess I just wasn't within 1 second of the car in front of me when I entered the detection zone.
