I do have one question though. How do you change your avatar to a custom one now? Is that a feature that hasn't been updated yet? When I go to 'Edit Avatar,' I get the option to change to a pre-defined standard avatar, but I don't see one for custom avatars.

Regarding the speed of the site, tomorrow I'm having our server looked at by a team of professional server administrators who will perform several tweaks and modifications to help secure and speed up our server. If all goes well it should make quite a difference!

With that said... I've noticed one tiny little issue with hyperlinks in Firefox 0.8. For example, on the main site every link under "GTP Forums" on the menu on the left side of the page is right-aligned and the spacing between each item is 10 pixels or more in Firefox while it is left aligned in IE6.0. I would attach an image of it but I am unsure as to whether I can or not(Attempted to do so anyway).

Also, the links under each item in the GTP store are right-aligned in Firefox and not centered as they are in IE.

I hope that helps. I haven't a clue as how to fix this without using CSS.

Ugh...why oh why do browsers have to be so different? Off the top of my head I have no idea why that's happening, but I'll look into it...objects being on the exact opposite of the side they're supposed to be on doesn't make much sense.

I'm still getting used to it. The only thing I really dont like is how wide the avatar member name location thing is <that thing over there O therwise its great but it'll take a while to get used to

I've heard several complaints about that...it's pretty much the same size as it was before. I think it's catching people's attention because the page itself is more narrow, I might adjust it a bit.

Although i can't download video's. It keeps telling me to log-in, but i did. Tested it with Explorer and Firefox. Maybe that feature isn't "up" yet. But, it isn't bothering me. Just to let you know.

The main buttons, like Submit Message, Go and New Thread use a certain font and a nice simple border and gradient. However for the images below a post such as Send PM, Website etc they are the old style with a different font. Personally I'd have both buttons the new style, like the main buttons.
Finally at the bottom of a page with Printable Version, Subscribe and Email Thread the underlines on the text links stick out flush with the images/icons. I believe the underlines were supposed to be underneath the text only and this happens in Firefox, I'm not too sure if it is isolated to it though.
Where is says View First Unread shouldn't it be View First Unread Post? Also the underline on the text link goes through and behind the

image.

I know exactly what you mean about the post buttons, I worked for several weeks on them alone, but I just couldn't get that "new look" to fit just right. I finally got frustrated with it and just changed the fonts on the old buttons. They were very popular and I've received many compliments on them in the past so I figured they still had a lot of life left in them.
Do you have any idea how I could fix that problem in Firefox? I don't understand how a browser could "underline" an image...?


And yes, that is a small typo there where I left out Post, thanks for pointing that out!

I just want to say that it's about time GTP opened its doors up. Just like Gran Turismo 4 will be, GTPlanet's ugrading was worth the wait. Everything had to look so good and so stylish, and mission accomplished. Hats off to Jordan, the vB technicians, and the increasingly patient GTP members (like myself) who couldn't wait to come back to GTPlanet. Good show, Jordan!

I logged on this morning and didnt like the look of things - Only because I was used to how it was before, we dont like change !!

But after a morning on here its very good and I probably havent even seen half of the new features yet !

Just a question though

When you click "new posts" and you have the threads displayed for you, why are some in BOLD and others in plain text ?

Also when you "hover" with the pointer over some threads without clicking into them you can see the first couple of lines of text without actualy clicking onto them - How come you cant do this with ALL the threads ??
