No the 458 and viper and gtr and r8 have front none adjustable downforce which is actually an advantage on Laguna after the corkscrew

Really !? didn't know that, goes to show how much I look at my downforce

Do you like the calendar timers :)

Oh yea, I spoke to Kimster today and he will come and test with us either one or both days this weekend :D

Times update....

These are now on RM tyres

Suzuka 2.01.6
Daytona 1.44.2
Laguna 1.24.5
Le mans 3.55.0
Monaco. 1.33.4
Nürburgring ~ 8.44 <- this was a single lap w/ a few mistakes *sadface*

Duck i'm going to be retesting some of the cars in the coming weeks to make sure there more even some cars will stay the same some will get more pp some will get less I will begin retesting this Sunday afternoon my time if your car is under pp'd then I will make the changes if it's your driving mate you will need to work out your car mate.

Don't be too focused on getting everyone's lap times the same, don't forget its an endurance race. Tyre wear and fuel usage will play a factor after 2 hours. The only way to test them fairly is to compare them over a whole stint.

I would guess the average stint on RM's would be about 30 minutes. There's 9 possible cars, so that's 4.5 hours on one track. On RH's its about 45 minutes a stint, so that's 6.75 hours. Then we have 8 tracks, so RM's 4.5 x 8 = 36 hours --- RH's 6.75 x 8 = 54 hours
Totalling 90 hours.. that's 3 days 18 hours of solid testing.. good luck with that 👍

I know this that's why it's going to take me 2weeks to do cause i'm going to runs these cars in 2 hour endurance races myself that's why it will take a few weeks cause how many tracks by cars it will a long time but i'm used to that still need to work out the audi r8 4.2.

Ok cool has he told you what car he is using

Not yet but I could take a guess that he would choose the R8 but we will see at the weekend :)

How much time have you spent tuning your car? might be an idea for you and Pnut to get together and compare setup notes 💡

That's a good calculator you have there
Also I think he enjoys it  how else do you think he got all the cars spec'd in a week :D

could you try and get me a spec for the 4.2 R8 so that I can update OP when you get a chance 👍 I don't see it being that much different to the 5.2, if anything I would assume a small drop in PP due to the extra cornering?

At least now I know that it's the car that's causing the time problems. Even when I push the GT, I'm getting more or less the same times as you.

Now first off its you cause your not getting anywhere near the times I get in the gt ill give you examples Laguna 121.5, la sarth 350.2, Suzuka 158.0,spa 216.1,montecarlo 132.7 these are some of my times in the ford gt so trust me when I say it's a fast car that you need to work out or fix you driving style

I can't really comment as I haven't driven it but I have seen IWIN do some of the times he has mentioned and am sure I could get it close to those times given some time to tune and setup.

1 question and PM me the reply if you like but how do you have your car built? Parts wise.

on another note I just took a little more off my lap time at Le Mans to a 3.50.791 👍

Most racing parts applied to use their individual benefits with the power brought down in line with the weight. On tracks like Daytona, I have more power and weight because I can use slipstream to get forward anyway.

Bear in mind that I'm using a DS3's analog sticks which could account for some time loss, but I can't see this car getting any quicker at the moment. I'm happy enough with the tuning I've got and I took a few ideas from the car IWIN sent pre-tuned, and I've generally worked out how to get the most out of the car in each situation.

1:24.4 at Laguna, I know I can bring that down so I'll update you when I find the time to do so. :)

Maybe taking off all the parts you can and full engine mods may provide more bhp while keeping the torque? My advice would be to go and buy 5 or 6 GT's and have b-spec man run them in for you and then build them all in different way's and then test them all on various tracks to see which is best (and don't judge this on the spec sheet) I have been using the car that I thought was best on paper and then this week realised that I was using the wrong one and have found the extra time I needed :dunce: also keep practicing as some guys here are just that fast so you need good pace yourself (not saying you are slow just they are very fast) 👍

Decided to spec up a few more cars tonight to try,GT-GTR-R8...5th lap at laguna with the r8 a 1.21.959...i must've done 100 laps in the ferrari and only been very close to the 21's ..lol..just gonna give the other cars a run and see how they suit. :)

I would have put money on the R8 being easy to get a good time at Laguna due to it's front downforce (and Laguna is very much a front end track) but I bet it isn't so easy to get a quicker time at say Le Mans?
But it is up to you guy's deadline is end of last pre-season test so do some testing and let me know 👍 :)

I definitely won't be changing cars,it was more a curiosity thing. :) .Me and the 458 are in it for the long haul.. 👍

Fair enough 👍 the 458 should be a really good all rounder :D

Decided to do a few laps on the Nurburgring. Fastest was 8:23:3 with a few mistakes

I will note that in 👍 not sure what the true pace will be there to be honest :)

True pace at the ring is about 805 and for everyone's reference nurburgring is my home track

hi glen what pp did you test the r8 in cause the pp will be around the high to mid 580s in terms of pp what pp you test it at.

The r8 was tested at 598pp as stated in the op...my times in the gtr and sls were both very low 22's after 10 laps each...only confirming further how well the cars are spec'd 👍 have no doubt with a bit of set-up time and a few more laps would be running 21's.. i'm happy all in..i have to say the 458 is a fiery number in comparison to the cars i tried last night..also the gtr and sls both not completely run in, both only got about 100-120 miles onthe clock... :)

The PP in the OP still needs adjusting for the 4.2 the PP there is for the 5.2 :D

On that note I will change it back to the 593pp it started at as the 4.2 will be closer to that :D
