What A Game!!!

For the collection of racing games I play, I dont play the "hardcore sim" ones.
Grid (and especially Legends) always appealed to me and took the lead for the racing part, and I like its visuals more.
NFS (except for NFSU1) are a hate to me, I dont like anything about them, not a single metric that feels "okay" for me.
Forza Motorsport regurlarly has the better car selection of all the games (Lotus? Caterham?)
Forza Horizon goes almost the same way NFS does, but at least I like the music better.
GT has the better visuals, but I dont like them as much, even more so because I cant unsee the faultlines.

Honorary Mention of Trackmania, I am just bad at this one.

Big fan of Grid as well, Legends is a solid and fun arcade racer, and has some great tracks as well.

Opinion:

For me the graphics and the fidelity to which a car looks, given the driving physics is relatively the same or most balanced, I will prefer the game with the car design that is more alike to the real car.

As evidenced here: I really cannot stand how the car modeling in Forza is lazy and so off, it looks like a Chinese knock off or Temu version of the real thing....

I have to agree with him

That's why I cannot stand Forza....

C'mon Forza, Get it together Forza, it's a shame that I am not able to convince myself to get an Xbox to play Forza, my eyes are forbidding me, it's a blasphemy for me.

Edit:
I too have grew up with car game that had far much worse graphics and visuals that what Forza is offering right now, so in A vacuum Forza is perfectly fine and I would welcome it in my life, unfortunately GT exists and
Personally I just can't accept that my two beloved E30 and E36 are butchered so badly by Forza designers... So if I have to choose,, and I am choosing

GT4 is the better game if you adjust it for technology advances and knock off that stupid final driving mission. GT7 is still very good, though, you will enjoy it. The final driving mission here is also insane. It's a one hour endurance race with GT3 cars on a fantasy course called Lake Maggiore. It's a good course but I think a bit underutilized in game. It compares to Seaside Street Galaxy in Daytona USA or maybe a daylight version of Special Stage Route 5.

Understandable, for me the physics and FFB sit at the top of the list, which gives FM the edge).

I can live with the visuals in FM for a couple for reasons, the first being that I also play a lot of older PC racing titles, so that gets you a bit more used to it, the second being the video author seems to be doing a little bit of cherry-picking, as better looking models most certainly exist in FM.

Don't get me wrong. T10 fully deserves the criticism they get for claiming it was all built from the ground up and then using older car models. It's not on par with the GT5/GT6 standard and premium models mess, but it still shouldn't have happened.

As evidenced by this shot (not mine it's @turk1993), FM can also look great. I'll happily agree that GT7 looks better, but FM isn't the hot mess some like to claim it to be.
