WHAT A JOKE

How do I go about making an official complaint about multiple issues on the Daily Races? Along with Video Evidence.
Do I contact PD or the FIA who, I think are meant to be organizing or supporting the races?
Thanks

What's the joke?

Also if you sign into your account on Playstation.com, you can use the live chat support there (it's a popup box in the bottom-right corner).
Where do I start lol, but mainly reporting (accompanied with video proof) of seriously blatant rammers, fishtailers, you name it.
I have NEVER done this before but after having been deliberately taken out two corners from the end, which I was leading Blah Blah.
anyhoo I started recording my "Races" out of disbelief that things like this where allowed to happen?
Also the so-called "matching" when I and plenty of others are put in the same lobby as guys 10 SECONDS PER LAP QUICKER lol,
I can cope with teething problems but this is my first GT experience and I now can see absolutely no point in entering ANY of the races as it's sooner or later ruined by some Talentless Tool!
Apologies for the rant but I had been led to believe this game would be different! Surely if someone has proof of cheating, they should be given the chance to at least have that looked at, and the individual warned or penalized if deemed fit. and don't get me started on the SR lol.
Anyway thanks for the prompt reply and tbh it's probably a job for youtube NAME AND SHAME as I doubt nothing would be done regardless

I highly doubt it's possible to do so.
Sadly you're probably right :( I'll ask on here if anyone runs competitive but clean Lobbys

I share the exact same opinion... I enter a race being DR "E" and SR "A" so I expect equal rated people and end up against DR "B" and DR "C" levels with SRs going from "B" to "D"... At that point you just know in advance that you're going to get rammed by 12 year olds and I end up getting 9 sec penalties for no apparent reason and the other cars magically pop forward when I'm right behind them and shift from one side of the lane to the other...

I was finally looking forward to an "online experience" as I wasn't that motivated when it was announced and now I'm just going to focus on finishing the campaign mode until something is done! There's no fun in racing with brutes to end up losing your SR rating even though you do everything to stay clean :/

Welcome to online gaming.

These aren't issues with GT Sport. These are issues with people. It's not likely that anybody will do anything about it because what can be done? People who make contact with other people already have in-game penalties, as do people who drive off the circuit. If they're getting the appropriate penalties, what more is there?

Also the so-called "matching" when I and plenty of others are put in the same lobby as guys 10 SECONDS PER LAP QUICKER lol,
Again, this is not really an issue with GT Sport. The matchmaking system doesn't only take into account your qualifying time (if you have one) or how fast someone can go in a race (because it doesn't know) - or at least I don't think it does because no-one can really know for sure. It appears to balance geography and network profile with Driver Rating, Sportsmanship Rating, known race results and qualifying time.

If you're ending up in races with people 10s or more faster than you every lap (and if so, how are you being taken out two corners from the end while leading?), it's probably due to factors other than your qualifying time.

I can cope with teething problems but this is my first GT experience and I now can see absolutely no point in entering ANY of the races as it's sooner or later ruined by some Talentless Tool!

Again, this isn't an issue with the game, but with people. And they're being penalised in the game and serving the penalties, so what more do you think would be done.

Incidentally, according to my in-game stats I've done 14 Sport Mode races. The Achievements section (which gives a reward for 2, 6 and 15 consecutive contact-free races) says I've done the last 9 without any contact whatsoever - which suggests it's completely possible to enter public lobbies and get out the other side without being taken out.

The all-caps thread title lead me to believe there would be a joke in the first post, and quite a funny one too...

Maybe you need to re-read what I said, they were in different races or maybe I didn't make myself clear enough.
I now understand why that 10 sec diff occurred, it was the start of a new race and obviously not enough competitors to match times with!

I'm struggling to not feel I'm being patronized so I'll just say that I'll upload a few examples of the unprovoked "incidents" on my YT channel with a link so you can see that,
1, If you would've been me, your streak of 9 without contact wouldn't exist!
2, There IS something that could/should be done if the evidence proves that the driver DELIBERATELY took someone out ie; a warning or ban depending on the severity and or frequency.
3, I'll show you examples of ME being penalized after someone hits me off the track!
I'm not being disrespectful but I hope you will view the video when I post it so you can see why I feel you're rubbing salt into a wound!!
PS; my DR is C and my SR is S so it hampering my ability to get access to the better quality race lobbys !
That said, TY for your response and i hope your non-contact streak continues ;0)

That's exactly what I've gone back to, Dirty, disrespectful cheats It REALLY grind my gears, to the point that when I was on PC2 I set up a group called the ERC (Elite Racers Club) where I would personally race with guys before asking them if they wanted to join a small group of like-minded racers.
Sadly I don't have the time to organize such a group for GTS but when circumstances permit, I will ;)

If someone is using software to cheat or glitch, that would be understandable to report. But people just driving like idiots or some swear words are just that, get ranked s and you don't have to deal with them. I definitely don't agree with it, but that's how they choose to play the game and as long as they aren't breaking the game, it's their right to be idiots.

Tokyo race today...SR S everyone...at least 6 in first 8 on grid smashed into the first bend using wall to bounce around...did race 3 times...started 5th each time...finished 11th /8th/6th,,,didnt lose a single place to being slower...just punt/slap/punt.
So SR S doesnt mean that much either, drive like an ass to win some races to get DR up, if SR goes down..a few clean will get it back up. More carnage.
Consider I believe you cant get your DR above your SR...well most of the a-holes wont ever get above DR E/D so why care about the SR?
I'm DR B SR S. If I had no scruples I could think B is as good as it gets for me racing clean I can afford to lose SR S down to B and win some races by punting.
The only safe tracks are the big wide outdoor tracks where you can weave and dodge most of them and they spin off pretty fast anyways.

Getting to S-SR doesn't help. I am at S for awhile now, you deal with much more angry players. Like today a race in Gr.3, guy behind me tapped me few times and is cutting corners the whole time as I'm watching him behind me. He passed me after a tap, then messed up on a corner that slowed him down, caught up and was behind him on straight. Be was braking very early and I overtook him. Next corner he dive bombed and kept my sliding my car and I lost several seconds. He caught up to other few guys, every guy who drove up against, I would find him in the dirt spun out. He couldn't catch up to anyone else so couldn't find anymore ghosted cars getting back on the track.

Every race you run into a deliberate dirty driver who will ruin your progress. It's getting boring, especially when matchmaking is putting me against B and A drivers when I'm only D. And I can tell all of them have setup and are adjusting while driving too. They really need to give an option to remove setups.

I'm done with this BS, just spent $70 on a really expensive beverage coaster.

Got out of a GR4 race at Tokyo. Qualified 3rd, easily .300 ahead of 4th on back. Flag drops, and we top three leave out on them. About halfway down the straight, I can tell 2nd place doesn't want to stay in line. So I ease off the gas, and roll up the ramp into the first turn, watching these two up front. Next thing I had six cars all over me, bouncing off the walls, all trying to go three wide into turn one. I went from 3rd to 14th coming out of turn two, with a penalty to slow down.

Honestly, if 1st and 2nd had stayed together, with me behind, we could have walked off from the pack and settled it on the last lap. And all I ever hear is "qualify up front, and you'll avoid the asshats". Qualifying up front don't mean 🤬. My DR held, but my SR dropped from B to C all from turn 1. I ran the rest of the race clean from 14th. And at the race results, every single car was in the red.

This game isn't worth the trouble as it sits right now. It's obvious it was designed for the "elite sim racers" and not us casual folk. I just wish there was a way to get my $$ back....

That Tokyo races really fun, but don't expect it to be clean. Way too fast of cars and course.... it's really fun but can be dirty at sometimes. But what do you expect? We're not professional Racers here and the game just came out

You got an evidence on them having the ability to setup? And adjusting? Look, there is possibility to set the TC and BB for all, if you mean this, then there is no point to rant about this.

Most people in the S ranking are just trying to get a good position and might mess up or get triggered... we're talking about a course that is probably averaging over 120 miles per hour. Going to be some crashes... I guess I just haven't been in any of these crashfest rooms everyone talks about. Every race will have idiots, but try to stay away from the idiots. And every once in a while I make mistakes as well and someone will probably think I'm an idiot.

They should have named the game Gran Turismo triggered :-)

No, it was pretty clear:
Also the so-called "matching" when I and plenty of others are put in the same lobby as guys 10 SECONDS PER LAP QUICKER lol,
But now that seems to be just a single example, rather than some overriding problem.
1, If you would've been me, your streak of 9 without contact wouldn't exist!
I'm on 10 now.

They're being penalised in the game. What more do you want Polyphony, the FIA or Sony to do other than that?
3, I'll show you examples of ME being penalized after someone hits me off the track!
All parties in any collision are penalised.
PS; my DR is C and my SR is S so it hampering my ability to get access to the better quality race lobbys !
I have the exact same rankings.
Dirty, disrespectful cheats It REALLY grind my gears
Cheating is an entirely different matter, and if you have some evidence of people getting around the game's code to post artificially low laptimes, Sony/PD would probably be interested.

Dirty driving isn't cheating though. So if your videos are just people driving like tools, no-one will care.

And this guys is why I use GT Sport as a time trial hot lap experience only.

iRacing is the only one that does it properly.

My experience in the entry levels of iRacing wasn't much different. That little Mazda is a slippery beast and there were a lot of incidents.

For some reason, you seem to have taken this personally:rolleyes:

WRONG. The Oxford Dictionary defines "Cheat" as 1,"Act dishonestly or unfairly to gain an advantage"
2, "Gain an advantage over OR DEPRIVE OF SOMETHING by using unfair or deceitful methods"
I CARE:banghead:

I want them to penalise the GUILTY party NOT the INNOCENT, who is punished TWICE as it usually means being punted, forced, eased....of the track thereby losing time, position AS WELL as the other penalties!
I cant be bothered replying to the rest but I'll finish by saying, Being an Administrator doesn't mean your opinion is any more or less valid than mine!

That's exactly my point, getting "taken out" or whatever you wanna call it means getting ranked up becomes a frustratingly long process!
So any other suggestions how to do that without the need for these daily races would be appreciated

First, stop double posting.

Second, "cheating" is different in different sports or games. In golf for example, golfers self report rules violations. Not reporting a rules violation is considered cheating. But not all rules violations would fit into your definition of cheating. You could go to remove a loose impediment beside your ball for example, accidently touch your ball and move it a 1' onto a worse lie, and it's a penalty. You haven't made your situation better, you actually made it worse, but to not report it is still cheating.

In a gaming situation, cheating would commonly refer to anything outside what the game allows. If it's allowed inside a game it's not cheating. Since driving games don't prevent contact it's technically not cheating, and is, in fact, penalized by the game. The designers of the game have said, you can make contact but here's the penalty. It's up to them to design the system to discourage contact as much as possible through penalties. You wouldn't have many drivers but you also wouldn't have much contact, for example, if you simply DQ'd anyone that made contact in a race. The designers of this game have taken the approach of assuming contact is not purposeful and penalizing both players. That approach can be gamed or taken advantage of. It's up to the developers to rectify the situation.

I would call intentional contact unsporting for sure, dishonorable, despicable, distasteful etc. But technically it's not cheating because the game allows contact and penalizes it within the rules of the game. Sure it's a fine distinction but I believe it's closest to the truth.

Okay. That's not really relevant as "cheats" in games have always been code exploits and not acting like a tool.

Acting like a tool is generally referred to as "griefing", although the Oxford English Dictionary doesn't even have "grief" as a verb, so that's probably wrong too.

I want them to penalise the GUILTY party NOT the INNOCENT, who is punished TWICE as it usually means being punted, forced, eased....of the track thereby losing time, position AS WELL as the other penalties!
Then you're playing the wrong game. GT Sport applies penalties to all parties in a collision. That's how it is. It doesn't matter what capital letters you use, what video evidence you have or who you complain to, that's the system in play. The Race Etiquette videos you had to play before going online even caution you to watch out for other players acting like tools and use situational awareness to avoid them.

Generally speaking, players who seek accidents will be punished more often than those who don't - if the guy who has no worries about hitting you also has no worries about hitting someone else, you and someone else get one penalty each, and the guy who hit you gets two - and thus those who don't seek accidents end with a higher SR than those who do. It takes time, and doubtless it will be tweaked too, but that's pretty much how it goes.

I cant be bothered replying to the rest but I'll finish by saying, Being an Administrator doesn't mean your opinion is any more or less valid than mine!
Okay. Not relevant in any way.

Mika, join a clean reputable racing league. One of the reasons they exist is to offer clean racing and good sportsmanship. Any legitimate concerns you have would be addressed by any well run racing league. Otherwise, it will be exactly as Famine described.

Isn't this something you should be used to in online races? Literally every racing game i played online is a destruction derby if you are not at the very front of the pack. Just because of the added penalty system, you can tell if someone is a bad driver but the habits will always be the same. Its a flawed system and they wont do anything about it for good reason. Imagine banning players from online races for bad driving...a game you bought for money telling you you cant play anymore lol...good luck with that, if that aint bad press i don't know what is. If others can reach clean first positions then so can you just have to accept this isn't real life. Do people stop at red lights in a GTA game?
