Race car-wise, I hope GT7 finally gets these Formula E cars that Kaz has said back then (which ultimately didn't make it to GT Sport), as well as more Super GT, Super Formula, WEC and hopefully even IMSA race cars and DTM, not to mention, the return of NASCAR, given the already large number of oval circuits.

IMSA isn't entirely exclusive to Forza, as their partnership/alliance allows them to get first dibs on many new IMSA race cars before anyone else. And besides, there are IMSA cars in the Project CARS series (even as far as Project CARS 3) and Grid. There are very few IMSA cars throughout Gran Turismo (such as the DeltaWing, Dodge Viper GTS-R and BMW M3 GTR), likely because Polyphony would have to travel back and forth to the States to reach licensing agreements with many race teams to feature their cars, unless they can outsource somebody to do it for them.

Here is my list for Porsche

I think, if I had a say in which cars were added, I'd try to have as many manufacturers included in a given niche as possible. So for example, I'd add the Callaway C7R GT1 and Bentley Continental GT3 as a Gr.3 cars, but I'd also flesh out various groupings within the N-Series. For example, let's look at pickup trucks. In this regard, I'd add the Dodge Ram Rebel and the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2, as I think they'd perfectly complement the Toyota Tundra TRD Pro and Ford F-150 SVT Raptor. We could also see the return of various SUVs and cross-overs, as I recall the Range Rover Evoque being in GT6, and I think that could have a lot of potential, given that Lamborghini, Bentley, Alfa Romeo, and numerous others have made various SUVs and cross-overs. This is before we get into the fact that GT4 had various trucks/SUVs, as well.

Another example would be kei cars. In GTS, we mostly just have Honda and Daihatsu represented, but there's certainly potential for further expansion, such as with the Mazda AZ-1 - maybe even with a MazdaSpeed modification option - or the newer version of the Copen that the Racing Jacket VGT is based on. Ideally, I'd love to have the Copen GR, in particular. Heck, more interesting Toyota models modified by TRD/GR could be really cool, given how many there are between the two labels, with the TRD 3000GT being an obvious example of one that I'd want.

Maserati would have great Group 4 and Group 3 contenders. With Gran Turismo GT4 as Gr4. and MC12 Corsa for Gr3.

But for Glickenhaus. Judging by the latest twitter posts by Glickenhaus I doubt we will see their cars anywhere.

That's exactly because of this that I put some images of the cars here...

À bit to say "look what we will surely miss !"

Actually I think that Glickenhaus needs money so much for the WEC Hypercar class entry (around 20 millions € overall budget per season) that he will finally sell the royalties at a fair price to Sony and Microsoft aswell.

If GT7 ever does get IMSA Daytona Prototypes, I wonder if they'll be in Gr. 1 or another category, because I hear they're based on LMP2 cars despite them being the top category. Because they aren't in many racing games we would never know.

It's actually difficult to sort it out in the reality, even the FIA and IMSA negociated for years to get their regulations closer to eachother to make the cars able to race in each championships, but it's not yet the case.

What I mean is that IMSA DPi were initialy based on 2017 WEC lmp2 specs, but since season 2019, DPi and lmp2 race in two seperate classes. Even though the DPi are less efficient than a WEC LMP1 especialy when it comes to à manufacturer's Hybrid car like the Toyota TS050 or the long missed Porsche 919.

How could it be sorted in Gran Turismo ? It is another and very different tricky question.

I'd say they would obsviously enter the GR.1 despite a gap in performances but fixed by the BOP. And may get handicap bonuses when the BOP is off ? Maybe ...

Another is that LMP2 cars cannot compete with Gr. 1 outright, so they might need their own category. Unless they could be in Gr. 2 which will make it feel weird with Super GT/DTM/1990’s GT1 cars.

I think it's time for Alpina (developer of high performance versions of BMW cars) to makes its debut in the Gran Turismo franchise. If I had to pick five of them it would be:
- Alpina 3.0 CSL Race Car '74
- Alpina B7 Turbo Coupé '84
- Alpina B10 BiTurbo '92
- Alpina B12 5.7 '92
- Alpina B7 (G12) '16

Other than that I'm still waiting for:
- Alpine A220 '68
- Lancia Martini LC2 '85
- Venturi 600 LM '93
- Panoz LMP-1 Roadster-S '99 (basically, an earthquake generator)
- Dome S101 Racing for Holland '04
- Panoz Esperante GTLM Team LNT '06
- Lola - Aston Martin (B09/60) '09
- HPD ARX-03c Honda Strakka Racing '13

and... many others!

Waooow ! I so want that car in Gran Turismo in the near future !

ARES S Project

ARES is an italian manufacturer run by ex-Lotus CEO Dany BAHAR

That new Hypercar is technically based on the new rear engined Chevrolet Corvette C8

Rear end deeply inspired by the Bugatti Chiron.

À gr1 version of that Monster would be a nice move too.

Don't forget Bentley with the Continental GT3 (and a Polyphony-designed Continental Gr. 4) and Bugatti (most likely Bugatti because they have a Gr. 4 car in the form of the Veyron, but with still no known Gr. 3.)

As it is set in GT Sport the gr.4 Veyron is quite pointless and too heavy in my opinion.

They wanted to keep and simulate the fact it has still the w16 engine in it which in my mind makes no sense in a car with less than 500 BHP.

À gr.4 Veyron with an (quite restricted) aero package and a V8 from Audi sounds like a better option to me.

For a gr.3 Bugatti I'd really wish both :
- Bugatti Divo race car (set by Polyphony)
- EB 110 LM

Cars from my youth in the 80s:

Peugeot 205 GTi
Vauxhall Astra GTE
Fiat Uno Turbo
Renault 5 GT Turbo and Gordini
Ford Escort RS Turbo MK3 and MK4
Ford Escort RS2000 MK1, MK2, MK5
Vauxhall Cavalier Turbo
Alfa Romeo GTV6
Alfa Romeo 75 V6
Peugeot 206 GTi 6
BMW 325i E30 and E36
Ford Escort Cosworth
Ford Sierra Cosworth
Rover SD1 Vitesse
Nissan Sunny GTiR
VW Golf GTi
Ford Fiesta RS1800 and turbo
GMC Syclone and Typhoon
Mercedes 190 2.5 16
Mercedes 500E
90s V8 supercars
90s BTCC
and every BMW M5 ever made.

TCR. Been a series since 2015. The fake Megane, Scirocco and RCZ aren't enough. All the hot hatches currently in GT Sport should have been converted to Gr.4 spec.

AMG A45, VW Golf GTI, Peugeot 208, Citroen DS3, Ford Focus, Civic Type R FK2,

Basically every car that falls into the following categories:
  • Old classics
  • Modern classics
  • Motorsport legends
  • Recently noteworthy
  • Currently relevant

In GT6, we have Muscle cars. There are a fair amount that have not been added since. We got an El Camino and Midget, but lacked a few other popular small pickups/utes similar to those.
I'd like to see some new models (I've recently posted these in the Automotive forum):

Add a few more Kei trucks and some classic JDM wagons from the late 70s to mid-80s.
