An example of what I'm talking is things like the ability to change rims, the oil change feature, car wash, types of cars(e.g. open-wheel/F1 cars) etc..

Anyhow for me in particular I like the fact that PD have begun to focus on the human aspect of GT e.g. we no longer have a invisible pit crew but this time we now have an actual pit. Ontop of that, its pretty to have a testing crew(the guys that appear after passing a test) example:

Oil Change

Talking of oil change, am I missing something, whenever I did events that lasted 10 long races or whatever I couldn't change oil in between races and performance dropped while the performance of the cars I was racing against didn't change from race to race.

Looks like there planning on nicking it.

I laughed a lot when I read that. 👍

They must be scousers ;).

Tis a bit rich coming from a Manc, is it not? :sly:

I agree, it's nice to see details in games, little things add up and stop a game feeling sterile.

Agreed, the structure makes the game, but its part of these little details which makes the game feel so polished and complete. It's clear that a lot of time is invested in the game, which is what makes the game so professional.

I just like the way everything in the game is done, they have really captured the essence of a near perfect game. The only major problems with GT4 were problems with the AI in my opinion.

Again, its the little things that make all the difference, that really makes the up the quality of a game that a lot of this-gen titles miss out to save time and money.

You guys might not agree with this but in Test Drive Unlimited, I love how you could drive to different car show rooms. It just felt realistic, it was a nice touch. Gran Turismo has always had menu based navigation. It would be nice to be able to drive around to get to places like race tracks, tuning companies, garage etc etc

EDIT: Sorry, I just realised that I wrote about what I would like not what I do like...I personally love the menu music too. The Jazz was always really nice.

I really like the descriptions/history of the cars included in the PSP version. I have ended up buying several cars because the description made me interested in trying them.

I liked the handling of rwd cars in GT3, especially on the wet tracks.Another thing i didn't know is the Le Sarthe track is in GT4.

That is a great edition with the PSP, and it is perfect to pass the time with when your thumbs are all out of whack from driving.

I guess people are going to laugh but... I absolutely love the fact that when you look up a car and you select the different colors, they're all original to their manufacturer. By that I mean that Renault has French color name. BMW, Audi, etc has them in German. Ferrari has them in italian. It's such a tiny tiny detail yet it's something I really appreciate... don't really know why but it's like that!

BMW attach a name of the colour, usually on the top suspension mount under the bonnet ( left side as you look at it).

The Lost Tracks of GT3...
Seriously, where are they?!?! These were all my favorite tracks!
Complex String, Rome (hooray for it's come back), Smokey Mountain, Route Five (Wasn't in GT PSP!!! :embarrassed:)

for me.. GT is all about:

License tests... gt5 better not cut down on this.

Parts... the first thing i do is get a nice standard car, get enough sunday cup's under my belt to afford a little turbo.. and whoosh goes the car! gt5 and it's new physics are going to make it feel so much more real.. that i'm actually sticking a turbo on this little car and feeling how it may actually feel!

World map/Events... no other driving/racing game could ever come close to GT mode's single player experience. want more events, not stupid ones but i hope the championships (wrc, nascar, indy, etc) do not take away from this.

Fictional tracks.. PD have got some major skill in track design, midfield raceway and deep forest are my favourites. love the layout of both those courses incredible amounts. love the inclusion of real world tracks too, would like nurburgring GP in.

and of course... CAAAAAAARS :D

RUF CTR Yellowbird is mine.

I love almost all features in GT, the only one I didn't like was in 2 or 3 when they had the 3 prize cars rotating around and it was a crapshoot on which one you would get, but they did away with that so all is good for me!

+1 👍

Hmm, lets see:
License tests
Used cars
Incredibly in-depth tuning options
Extremely accurate depiction of real race circuits
Brilliant designs for the "fake" original circuits
The massive car list
The general approach and feel of driving

For me the aspect that I most like about GT over the years is there unique way of presentation, from the famous Logo to the intro's, menu's and music 👍

Polyphony Digital

For me, it's always been about the fact that I can take ordinary cars I see on the road all the time and race them against other typical production cars in there pure stock form.

I'm also a huge fan of some of PD's fictional tracks (the one's created from scratch, not based on a particular location). Grand Valley, Trial Mountain, Deep Forest and Midfield are all classics in my mind and I hope they all live on in GT5.
