What are the most popular car class and track combos online?

I know I've seen a lot of GT3 at Spa. I like online racing but I find that I mostly end up racing in unfamiliar cars/tracks. I think the best approach is for me to focus on time trials against ghosts on popular track/car combos. What are the most popular combinations?

I think GT3 cars on Formula 1 tracks is what most people play online. At least that's what I see people complain about all the time :dopey:

What system?

On PS4, GT3 is definitely the most popular. For tracks, it's usually the F1 tracks as mentioned, plus Algarve, Bathurst, Brands Hatch, Brno, Daytona, Donnington, Dubai, Fuji, Imola, Indy, Leguna Seca, Le Mans, Bugatti, Long Beach, Road America, Sakito, Sonoma, Sugo, Watkins Glen, Zhuhai, Zolder.

Start with the F1 tracks like Monza, Silverstone, Redbull Ring, Spa, Catalunya, COTA, along with Leguna Seca, Donnington, Imola, Watkins Glen...that should give you a good base to start from.

Other classes that are popular at the Formula and LMP cars. I don't do them much, but they're usually on the big F1 tracks, or the Indycar tracks in America.

I've noticed the TC class is getting more common. These cars go well on the big tracks, but also on many of the smaller national sized tracks.

For Vintage stuff, Group A and Group 5, maybe Group C, are the most common. You see these lobbies use lots of tracks, but I find it's pretty common to see them use the classic tracks, or at least tracks which have very unaltered layouts, like Watkins Glen or Road America.

GT3 scrubs on Spa and Monza, basically. Oh and no weather of course. Then race begins, mayhem, and bam your license gets hit. Stay away from GT3 lobbies. All retards usually attend them.

GT3's dominate the random lobby's and they can be so much fun. But why don't you make your own lobby's sticking with tracks you know at first. That way you wont get stuck in a car / track combo you dont like. Add some Ai to make the numbers up and stick the racing line on. This also means you can kick any idiots out too. As @twitcher says start focusing on the F1 tracks. Also start to add people who you think are at your lvl. Or even look for a group to join what system are you on? Most people in the groups i have joined was always willing to help learn tracks and do setup work. Also many of them would race together in private lobbys. Time trial will help you learn tracks but wont improve your race craft 👍

I have a lot of fun in random GT3 lobby's. probably 80% of my online races have been in GT3's and i am no retard. I think the fact they are so easy to drive on the default setups does promote noobish racers. If you use the competitive racing license properly they are very close races and it removes the crash kids.
