Brunch was a banana. Dinner was vegetable beef soup with a ham and cheese sandwich.

Just got my order of new mustards. Over $100 worth. Yes, I love mustard. Tried the Kelley Mustard. Fantastic! It may become my favorite mustard next to Bertman's Ballpark and Pommery.

Opened my gift pack of Hammond's because I realized the chocolates are about 3 months expired. Chocolate doesn't really expire though-- looked good as new so I broke into them.

This one is NASTY AS ****. I thought it would be good, but it tastes like a pupperoni. Dog food chocolate... in other words, poison.

This one is delicious though. Love the s'mores. Tastes just like the real thing.

If it was expired perhaps the fat in the bacon and chips had gone rancid.

Nope. It just smells and tastes like dog treats. Not a good combination. Besides, they use the really cheap, crappy bacon bits like you'd get in an elementary school cafeteria. Not the real stuff. Bac-Os.

Breakfast - my wife made bacon pancakes for the boys. I couldn't turn those down. Nom.

Lunch - home made taco pizza and a diet Dr. Pepper again. Also nom.

Brunch was Graskaas, Summer Sausage and Herb Crackers with Pommery Mustard. No dinner. Maybe I'll eat a banana a few hours from now.

Take all you can handle.

I broke in my smoker today with Cornish Game Hens. Served up with green beans.

Full of flavor and juice. I'm not sure I even needed the marinade injections or BBQ rub. The mesquite was more than adequate.

Since foolkiller has "Mastered" time travel maybe he can help the community by telling the winning lotto numbers

@FoolKiller What smoker did you get?
It's the Brinkmann Mini Offset Smoker/Grill. You can see it here. It leaks and needs some modifications to seal it up a bit, but none of it was bad enough to create temperature control issues. The biggest issue is that the main lid does not close flush all the way across the front. I think I'm going to get some oven door gasket to run around the edge and help seal it.

Next up I am going to try smoking some cheeses. Low sodium cheese is always a bit bland and a lot of store-bought smoked cheeses aren't actually smoked, but flavored, which increases sodium.

The hens were good enough that my wife and I polished off an entire hen when we typically rarely eat more than half of one.

@Grayfox Americans be all about the month first.

I just started a batch of chili to slow cook for the next 10 hours. It's a new recipe so hopefully it tastes good.

Try Smokeing Sea Salt.

You can add that smoked flavor to non smoked foods
No can do.

Besides, that is a lot of time and effort in a world where we have this:

And this:

Liquid smoke and smoke powder.

Forgot to add my food from last night. Pizza with Italian sausage slices.
