Just cracked open and enjoying Stone Brewings "Arrogant Bastard Ale." Perfect beer to take the chill off.

Still looking for my white whale, "Zombie Dust". I'll trade any Pacific NW beer for it!:sly:

Celebratory brunch (celebrunch?) skillet with the lady. She had a delicious bowl of polenta with gravy and poached eggs. I ended up eating half of that in addition to my meal.

My favourite spot in town, handy that it's so close!

Was meant to be a burger and chips but ended up burger and potato mess. Did taste nice though and it's the first thing I've properly cook in ages.

The Melting Pot had a daddy/daughter date night deal yesterday. Cheddar/Swiss fondue, then I had angus sirloin, chicken breast, and shrimp cooked in coq au vin, and then dark chocolate for dessert.

Another year continuing my family's Superbowl tradition of making a bunch of appetizers and grazing throughout the game.

We had southwest chipotle meatballs, eggplant/chicken parm sandwiches, mini beef wellingtons, loaded tater tots. Also a trio of wings: Buffalo, garlic parmesan, and maple sriracha.

Typical Saturday breakfast.
  • Scrambled eggs
  • Fresh Yellow, red, and orange bell peppers
  • Fresh Mushrooms
  • Butter
  • Fresh Spinach
  • Seasoned with Mrs Dash.
  • Toast (Not pictured)

Not the real deal (this was bought in a supermarket), but a Francesinha nonetheless. Some good meats in there, although the sauce wasn't up to it (it lacked the beer).

We fried some eggs and fries to go with it.

You have them at a specific place, or is it easy to find a feijoada in a normal restaurant?

Specific place. There's a couple of Brazilian restaurants around here and they serve feijoada. I'm not sure the exact details on how, and if, Brazilian and Portuguese versions differ though.

I know they're different; I just don't know how much.

But I'm sure it's great as well.

Mainly beans. Brazilian feijoada uses black beans and mainly grilled beef and sausage. Portuguese feijoada uses either white beans or, as we call it, butter beans with cooked pork. There are brazilian versions that use pork as well.

After listening to @S_Bridge's girl groups I had to
make an O'boy for myself.
I hope the song hasn't been muted by YouTube for
copyright content, Mallet. It's 'One Fine Day' by The Chiffons.

It's incredible.
I've just tried to cobble together a post in return which would autoplay Heatwave, as recorded by Martha & The Vandellas, while also showing my latest meal. A lack of network connection has rendered my effort fruitless.
