Found a new mixer for Southern Comfort. It's a bit fighty.

And now I’m having a drink. Rum and coke featuring Rafted rum and my favorite store brand zero calorie cola. At least I thought it was called “Rafted”. I’ve had this bottle for more than a year (I don’t drink often.) But just tonight, I realized there is a dark blue Circle K in front of “Rafted” that you can only see if it’s in the right light. So it’s actually called “Krafted”. Which makes more sense, but people use strange brand names for booze all the time so I never questioned “Rafted”.

Didn’t the offset type give you a clue? It would have had my OCD senses tingling.
I didn’t have the slightest clue. Being offset like that could have been a deliberate choice to draw the eye. I honestly didn’t think anything of it. In it’s defense though, it’s quite a good rum.

Bang energy is going to go down the route of Four Loko very soon... I'm surprised it's still legal. Especially the coffee ones, which have something like 400mg of caffeine per can.
All things considered, Bang's caffeine content isn't terrible for people with a high tolerance. I average roughly 400-500 mg of caffeine a day and I can drink a Bang in the morning and feel minimal effects. It is really bad for people with a low caffeine tolerance though and for someone who's never really consumed caffeine, it could actually be deadly depending on the condition of their heart. Personally, I like Red Bull or just a really strong coffee depending on what the temp is like. Energy drinks are for summer while coffee is if for the rest of the year.

In terms of energy drinks, Bang isn't that bad since it doesn't have sugar. Energy drinks loaded with sugar are way worse for you than energy drinks loaded with caffeine. For example, a Rockstar 24oz can has 91g of sugar in it. That's like eating 4 frosted chocolate donuts from Dunkin Donuts worth of sugar.

I'm fixing to eat some hamburgers, fries, turnip greens, baked beans and mashed potatoes for dinner. With some iced tea from Bojangles! Good old stuff!

Dad made chicken enchiladas and snuggled them into the hospital for me. A welcome break from the usual flavorless stuff they serve around here.

I don't think anyone will ever be able to convince me that the sausage, egg and cheese muffin sandwich is not the greatest sandwich humans have ever created. The cheesesteak does come close though.

Food pornographer,

Tamarind margarita. Good but I think I'd be just as happy with the standard.

Dinner was grilled marinated tempeh tacos. Really frickin' good. Marinade consisted of guajillo chili puree, pineapple juice and fish sauce. They were topped with pickled red onions, crema, avocado and cilantro. Not vegetarian but no meat. Just the fish sauce and the tortillas I got were made with lard.

I went to the local combination A&W/KFC and got myself a Papa Burger combo with a root beer, of course.
