I went out for date night to a Korean BBQ. It was pretty good although without salt and pepper it’s just grilled pork neck, and the S&P aren’t something they provide without asking for specifically. S&P makes it edible. Accompanied with rice, and a few beers, of course.

Now I’m home, I’ve got 5 pints in the fridge and I’m on the hunt for a Christmasy movie to get me in the mood. I might watch Jingle All The Way.

Glutinous rice balls and coconut milk.

First round. Didn’t get a pic of the second round. Their round is yet to come.

Absolutely delish. This rack was only salted. The second rack was marinated. The 3rd, yet to come, is properly treated with a red rub.

Edit: I found the second round. This was rubbed.

I just realised I have to eat all 4kg of ribs or share with the neighbours.

My wife had som tum for her Christmas lunch. I commented that it wasn’t very Christmasy, but she pointed out that it had both red and green fruit & veggie components.

Did you get the apple pie somewhere, or did you get the ingredients and make it yourself? It looks great.
It was bought, but still required preparation. Doing this kind of Pie was completely new for me and my sister as Icebox Pie was our usual go-to Holiday Desert for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Not sure how much of that is considered food. Mostly looks like processed salt and sugar. The best things to eat a Christmas, of course.
