What are you good at?

After thinking about it I'm not surprisingly good at anything, at least nothing springs to my mind anyway. I'm pretty much average or less than, and the things I am good at I'm nothing special or just above average.

Pretty sad, really.

Same.

No you don't, bulkiness comes with so many drawbacks, contrary to popular belief muscles do NOT make you popular with the ladies, nasty prejudices, finding fitting shirts is time consuming, tailored suits are very expensive, you can't scratch your sides /back....

The only real benefit I can think of right now is you can be an a-hole to everyone in the club without ever getting attacked. :sly:

Mate not to be a judge or your character by any stretch but good heavens if I had an upper body like yours I would be up to my ears in 'shenanigans' over here. :P

Just to wake up, look at myself in the mirror and say 'phwoar!'...but I am sure you are used to it these days.

Mind sharing some tips one day?

My very good pal has muscle bound arms and he gets girls very easily. It might be because he's such a nice guy but I'm sure his arms help. In fact his nick name is Juliusz Big Arms or The Arms as we sometimes call him. Probably the nicest person I've ever met, thinking about it.

Girls over there must be different from the ones I usually meet. I think I'm a nice humble guy but comments about my appearance range from ''gross'' to ''intimidating'' (the bad kind) and ''silverback'' and when I talk with people they're often surprised that I'm not the arrogant arse or the one dimensional macho-caveman with a single-digit IQ they were expecting. :indiff:
I rarely ever hear a compliments and females my age tend to date ''physically cute'' partners........
Makes me feel like an outdated model....

Mind sharing some tips one day?
Sure, ask and ye shall receive answers!

Well, a white, European chap (Polish) living in China stands out against the monotony of other black haired, tanned skinned Chinese fellows, especially having biceps like Arnie.

Hmmm... interesting question. Things I'm legitimately good at......

I'll take "good at" to mean "better than 90% of the population". Which is not as high a standard as it sounds.

- Applied Math
- Computer coding
- Logic
- Philosophy
- Painting
- Electrical wiring/electronics
- Mechanical systems
- Orbital dynamics
- Numerical Optimization
- Process flow
- Systems engineering
- Sex
- Numerical Estimation
- Numerical Modeling
- Economics
- Operating a manual transmission
- Driving (again, think 90%, not 99%)
- Video games
- Psychology
- Piano (sight reading, memorization)
- Guitar (improvisation)
- Drums
- Bass Guitar
- Movie editing
- Dog training
- Appliance repair
- Probability and statistics
- Analytical thinking
- Typing
- Numberpad
- Left-handed mouse usage
- Shooting
- Accounting
- Skiing
- Sprinkler system repair
- Home network installation, administration, repair
- Linux system administration
- Pattern recognition
- Empathy (or sympathy, I have a terrible time remember which is which)

Ok I'm tired. I'm sure there are more. If this looks like I'm full of myself, I'm sure I could create a similar "bad at" list.

Nearly everything, at least when compared to most people.

Notable bits would be Photography, driving, video games, computer anything, pattern recognition, math, debate/discussion, and fashion.

A number of things. Table Tennis, Drawing, Learning new tasks, ICT, Typing, Driving and playing GT5. I won't list everything I'm good at since I would be here all day typing them out.

Swimming. I'm practically a merman.

Drinking beer. And wasting time on the internet.

I consider my visual sense (aesthetics, processing, etc.) to be pretty damn good - I can nitpick the crap out of individual pixels on a screen. You haven't seen obsessive until you've seen me spend 15 minutes trying to get a whole row of text to snap perfectly to a pixel grid in both vertical and horizontal dimensions. Consequently though, I have almost no processing power for the audio world.

My chemistry isn't very good, but I've developed a pretty good mental knowledgebase of bioconjugation, since I have two papers under my name involving it and it's something I do at work almost every day.

I think it's fair to say I'm pretty good at troubleshooting Macs considering that I've been directly offered a job at the Genius Bar before.

Stamina is not one of your strong points....not sure how you could good be good at sex:sly: :)

I could probably add quite a few more to my list but being lazy is one of my weak points! lol

I suppose I think allot and deeply and can understand complex relationships between things, and I am pretty good at it. It helps me in many ways but holds me back too.

Hmm, that reminds me... I did tutor organic chemistry so I guess I be pretty good at dat dere flapdoodle science.

I thought that post was pretty long. Certainly long enough. But sex actually isn't as much about quantity as it is quality.

Music, especially playing brass instruments (if I listed all of the instruments I am good at it would go on for a while) and to a slightly lesser extent composing, is where most of my talents lie.

Other than that, I am good at racing games in general (I don't play GT5 :D ), typing (I've been clocked at 124 wpm on one of those online typing speed things - see the typing thread for more details), memorizing phone numbers, detecting subconscious emotions from others, getting my point across in few words (not as common as you may think), and exaggerating things in conversation. That's all, folks.

Another to add to my list of people to work with... :D

I go up hills pretty fast on a bicycle. I don't know anyone who can beat me up hill/ mountain. My body just seems to have been tailored to it.

I bet I could try, I can go up our biggest hill in 17 minutes, + or - 3 minutes for traffic.

I'll just cheat and hop on my ATV and beat you all XD
