Happy 70th birthday Mike Oldfield. Here's his To France featuring singer Maggie Reilly. She also sang Moonlight Shadow but I don't like that record.

Can’t believe you don’t like Moonlight Shadow. I love Crisis album, in fact I think I own at least 3 versions of it on CD/DVDA/Wax

Playing this tonight, some class tracks cobbled together by Everything But The Girl

I loved his instrumental albums as a kid right up to Platinum. Crisis with his vocals was one departure from his early sound too many for me. I think Shadow was ruined for me by overexposure in the charts. Fair play to him and everyone who likes it but the simple melody and lyrics wasn't the artist I grew up with.

Proggy guitar wank like this is probably more my scene.

Mike Oldfield & David Bedford - First Excursion

What can I say? Easy listening was big in those days.

Horst Jankowski, His Orchestra & Chorus - Eine Schwarzwaldfahrt

Antonio Carlos Jobim - Samba de uma Nota Só
