A little less esoteric choice than my usual selections today. I found this tune has been going round in my head for the last few weeks. It's from an album which is 35 years old this year but sounds timeless and unaged to me, especially "woke" lyrics like these.

Tracy Chapman - Across The Lines

This song is currently going viral...

NSFW! Language warning! 🤬

While we're doing game related posts here's something I heard from a Swedish library artist I discovered via the Jakexvx Forza YouTube channel.

Hosini & Jones Meadow - 8 Hours, Still No Rain

No real need to spoil, just a fun game of badly explaining the video. Mostly just The Deathless Sun part.

Only just discovered these guys, even though they’ve been around for about 20 years. Saw them support Kiss recently and just watched them play at Boomtown. This is a great tune for driving to in GT, and is my default ear worm right now.

I'd never heard of them before either. Ragga heavy metal sounds like an interesting combination.

I’d never heard them before is saw them support Kiss at the O2 a couple of weeks back. They’ve been going quite a while, there’s a track of theirs on need for speed underground 2! I have no idea how I missed them. Ended up in the mosh pit a Boomtown, the friendliest mosh pit ever. 🤘🤘🤘🤘

David Byrne - She's Mad. I wish this whole album (uh-oh) had videos. This one is funny as heck IMO.

I was looking up the meaning of "rochambeau" on Google and this track popped up.

The Grays - Very Best Years

[EDIT] Gave the rest of the album a listen. It's not at all bad if midtempo Beatleseque jams happen to be your thing.

I hope you give the Grays album a spin (it's spelt "Ro Sham Bo") and that your interest is justified.

I checked out last year's RHCP release Unlimited Love and the funky Flea playing on this track stood out to me.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Poster Child

Jason Falkner is so good. He was with Jellyfish for their first album and went on to do a few of his own as well as a heap of session work.
