More prog. I've never listened to VdGG before but I like them better than ELP and about the same or better than King Crimson so far although not as much as Jethro Tull or Yes. Stephen Tayler remixes for the latter four.

That Petrol Emotion - Big Decision. I made the big decision to check out their box set and they may just be my second favourite (mostly) Northern Irish band after Microdisney.

Tonic - Thick

Currently listening to Jim Sullivan's first and second albums. Presumably these are his only two albums but perhaps the aliens will beam him down to make a follow up at eighty-five years old after abducting him fifty years ago next Thursday. The first album has great support from members of The Wrecking Crew.

the usual suspects GIF

Eurogroove featuring Cui Ling - Rescue Me. Not the version featuring Dannii Minogue I'm afraid. I think Tetsuya Komura of Final Fantasy fame is involved.

Got some comics reading to do (Kelly Thompson's Birds Of Prey run to date) so I guess it's time to listen to Mike Oldfield's first four or five albums again. I only have the 2003 version of his first though as I think it's an improvement over the 1973 original.

Kelly Thompson is such a good writer. Her Birds of Prey is so much fun right now.
Besides Absolute Wonder Woman which I guess is what tempted her away from Marvel I think this is her first major DC assignment but she appears to have nailed the characterisation. She's clearly a professional who reads the competition's books as a fan although I'm sure savvy editing helps. Sometime hopefully soon I'll check out her creator owned Black Cloak series.

I’ve been reading Absolute Wonder Woman as well. I didn’t know about Black Cloak, though. I guess I need to check it out.

A woman named Taylor has shown up in my playlist

You’re taking me waaaaaayyyyyy back to my 18yo self. Used to tape and watch this show with my brother and two of my cousins.

Seeing Omar Hakim also brought back this memory. Inspired one of my cousins to pick up the sticks and be the first drummer at our church.

I wish I knew anyone else with the same music tastes when I was eighteen. I was into The Smiths and Cocteau Twins while everybody else I knew was into U2 and Dire Straits.

Thanks for the recommendation. I don't think this show was ever broadcast this side of the pond. Co-host Jools Holland had a long running show on BBC2 but minus the all-star house band.

Fortunately crosscurrentjazz on YouTube has preserved a number of episodes for future generations (or until Broadway Video's lawyers catch up to them). I'll be getting onto these immediately.
