1. New tracks, particularly Goodwood, Stowe Silverstone and Ascari.
2. Ronda and the chance of being able to generate routes through it.
3. New 'fun' physics model.
4. GFX enhancements.
5. New cars.
6. New AI.
7. The promise of the GPS course maker.

The GPS course maker would have been number one if we new for sure it does what we hope it might, and that it was definitely coming.

New races, buying that gutless but plucky little car to start with and working my way up. This is what I've always loved and I know that first week spent with the game will be the best. I'm also really looking forward to the better physics and better UI. The UI last time was actually the part I liked the least in GT5

Just to see how all the cars drive and discovering new favourites. The Nissan Leaf, for instance, turned from a state of rigor mortis in GT5 to alive and kickin' in the GT Academy demo. And that's just one car, out of a thousand! Can't wait to try the rest.

good reminder! I had better go record all of the music from GT2, GT4 (menus), Tokyo Highway Challenge (TXR) etc. and make a megamix to play through GT6.
GT5's soundtrack wasn't quite a monstrosity... I guarantee, turn on your radio to any mainstream FM station and what you hear will be a few orders of magnitude more unbearable (unless it's doing some sort of classic countdown)
Fair enough different people like different stuff but the GT5 sound-track was the worst I've heard for a while, loved the GT2/4 ones through.

New Tracks
New BMW's
Hot Lapping the former in the latter.

When it eventually turns up, the course creator too...
Then Hot-Lapping them.

Also, when it eventually turns up, the BMW Vision GT.

I'm also looking forward to the Epic Whining thread expanded at a geometric rate, becoming self-aware, building terminators and starting WWIII.

  • Ascari race track and hot lapping with the LFA, 599, C6, C7 & MP4-12C
  • Night racing on Apricot Hill and Autumn Ring and Daytona
  • Possibilities of the included base cars
  • GPS Track Creator

New cars (all of them!)
Not needing to wait to be able to purchase ''standard'' cars.
Better course maker (when it comes out)
New tracks (all of them!)
New customization

The new content in general, but mostly about the new cars and the suspension model.

And the Lunar Rover, obviously.

Oh, and actually being able to paint my cars without waiting ages to get the right paint chip. That's pretty exciting.
What's this? Are all paint chips going to be always available?

I'm really happy about the return of Apricot Hill. I'm also wondering exactly which configurations of each track will be in the game, since the official track list doesn't list things like Suzuka East, Clubman Stage, or the various layouts of Cape Ring. I'm hoping against hope that we'll see Fuji '80's, and that SSRX is expanded to include those high-banked loops.

You still need to get paintchips by buying cars that have them, but once you have one you can use it for an unlimited time without it running out. So you don't have to buy a thousand LFAs to be able to paint your cars pink. 👍

on an un-related note, why haven't we seen any gameplay of Apricot Hill? How could the GTP guys not consider playing Apricot Hill at the GT6 launch party? It genuinely confuses me.

Hands down for me, is the GPS course maker. But new physics, cars, and hopefully an overhauled online racing structure are all very anticipated.

And an underdog for the best improvement, honestly, is the super speedy menus. If menus are as quick and snappy as they seem, I'll be extremely happy. Especially if you can skip the animations for car washes and oil changes. That is probably going to make the biggest difference in the actual flow of the game, that and reduced track load times.

We have an SRT Viper GTS and a C7 Vette + Willow Springs in the same game. I also like the copious amount of new Muscle Cars. And we get possibly the collest things this side of an RS6 Avant, the EL CAMINO

Any word on "clubs"? It was mentioned by Kaz months ago but I haven't heard anything since... I appreciate the little online social aspect they tried to do in GT 5 but I'm hoping they have learned from that and made it more useful.

The handling of the cars. I really liked the academy feel. Much more alive than GT5.
And the Ferrari 250 GTO...
In the future: hahum. Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak. But at a later stage please... so much choice already.
