I watched the original Skam from Norway, not too long ago, and loved it. Turns out there are lots of Skams from many different countries.

They all follow the same basic outline, but the stories are very different.

Just finished Skam France, and just like the original, it was an emotional roller coaster.

I won't link to where I watched it, because I'm sure it wasn't a legit site. But if you Google it, you might find it. Remember that you are looking for English subtitles.

Tonight I'm going to watch Lake Placid 2 and 3, have you guys heard of that series. It's about raging crocodiles in some town. Attacking certain people there.

I guess this was supposed to be Mike Myers big return to entertainment. It's based off of a single scene from "So I Married An Axe Murderer" where Mike is playing the Scottish father of the main character Charlie (again Mike Myers) and he's talking to Charlie's friend about a conspiracy theory he believes. It goes like this.

"Stuart Mackenzie (Myers): Well, it's a well known fact, Sonny Jim, that there's a secret society of the five wealthiest people in the world, known as The Pentaverate, who run everything in the world, including the newspapers, and meet tri-annually at a secret country mansion in Colorado, known as The Meadows."

"Tony Giardino (Anthony LaPaglia): So who's in this Pentaverate?"

"Stuart Mackenzie: The Queen, The Vatican, The Gettys, The Rothschilds, and Colonel Sanders before he went tits up. Oh, I hated the Colonel with his wee beady eyes, and that smug look on his face. "Oh, you're gonna buy my chicken! Ohhhhh!"

"Charlie Mackenzie: Dad how can you hate the Colonel?"

"Stuart Mackenzie: Because he puts an addictive chemical in his chicken that makes ya crave it fortnightly, smartass!"

To me it's the best part of that movie. So this series is based off that joke with Myers playing four of the five Pentaverate members. Bruce Baldwin an Australian media magnate loosely based on Rupert Murdoch, Lord Lordington, Mishu Ivanov maybe based on Rasputin, and Shep Gordon the famous music manager.

I was expecting more out of the series as I'm generally a Mike Myers fan but there's too many times when the comedy and jokes are shall we say, juvenile.

We are watching a variety of things:
  • Minx

  • Vice Principals
  • Shoresy (once it gets to Hulu)
There are a few others on deck:

Recently caught up on/finished:

Since my last post, we finished Minx. We started Obi-Wan Kenobi yesterday and plan on watching the third episode tonight.

Since last (Memorial day) weekend, I have been binge-watching all of the Skam/Druck/wtFock season three episodes. (season two for Skam Italia) Also season seven of German Skam (Druck).

I have been thoroughly impressed by the writing and all of the acting performances.

It seems like 'Facebook Watch' (never heard of it), tried to do a Skam Austin (TX), but they never got to season three.

If you watch any of these, have the tissues ready. They get really sad at times.

Season 3 of The Boys on Amazon Prime.

I know this a intense show but the first 10 minutes of episode 1 took it to a new level.

:boggled::eek::odd:

So, since I somehow managed to out myself in one of the political forums yesterday, I guess I can be a little less cryptic in describing stuff here.

All of those seasons deal with the main character discovering he is gay.

All of those seasons (except for Druck season seven) go something like this.

The season is centered on a boy. I believe in all of the season threes he has a girlfriend. In most of the seasons he lives in a large apartment with two roommates, a girl and a gay guy.

The boy meets an interesting guy, and falls for him. In most of the seasons the interesting guy turns out to have a mental illness, there is much drama and many tears.

I just found this on YouTube this morning. This is the entire season 3 from the German version called Druck. It is a playlist of 10 episodes. If for some reason embedding this strips away the playlist, I will provide a link below.

Since this is season 3 here is a little background info.

The season is about Matteo. He lives with two roommates, Mia and Hans, who is at times, flamboyantly gay. He also has a girlfriend named Sara.

Warning Adult themes, foul language, and lots of smoking stuff that for some reason is still illegal in Texas. There is implied sex, but no nudity. I think this would rate as PG-13.

It only took me eight days to power through the Matt Smith episodes of Doctor Who. Now I’ve moved on to the Peter Capaldi episodes. This is all completely new territory for me. I’d seen a few episodes of the Tennant and Smith series when they originally aired including the 50th anniversary specials. But nothing since then. I’m looking forward to this. It’s been so much fun watching this show.
