SpongeBob SquarePants S01E01 - Help Wanted. Other than a couple of episodes at my nieces and nephew's house I never watched this when it was broadcast. I'm definitely at the age where I identify with Squidward much more than I do with SpongeBob or Patrick.

I'm gonna watch Exit Speed.

It's a weird thriller movie that starts somewhere in Texas. A group of people get on a local bus and travel out of town. Later on, they wind up on a street and some mysterious bikers catch up to them, the rest of this article explains the plot.

I binged the last five episodes of Cobra Kai (S6-part three) and I loved it. A fitting end to the most unlikely (and probably the best) of franchise revivals. Today I will catch the latest Sakamoto Days episode, which so far has been a very funny spoof of assassin's movies/anime/manga tropes.

I'm not surprised the show lasted so well.

I met Billy Zabka at a London Comic Con around the time of season 2 filming (just before Covid) and he was extremely busy, so I knew the show was already a hit.

I got Billy to sign my Equaliser dvd booklet (he played Edward Woodward 's son as a recurring character [should add I mean the original show, not the much inferior revival], and managed a selfie which I think was lost with a broken phone.

Billy seemed a really nice guy, apologised for not having more time as he was so busy, I remember he told me that Edward Woodward was the best actor he ever worked with and he learned a lot from him as a young actor starting out.

Unfortunately, Cobra Kai is Netflix and I refuse to pay subscriptions for TV (bad enough having to pay the compulsory subscription fee for BBC!), so I've only seen Season1 (which was on YouTube originally).

Cool story! I do vaguely remember Edward Woodward as the original Equaliser, then again, it was a show not fit for my age when they broadcasted here in Mexico, 3000 years ago.

Cobra Kai, as many other shows, is still sold on DVD doesn't it? Whenever it becomes a full boxset, I would heartily recommend it!

Now that you mention the BBC fee, I recall Jim Broadbent's The Duke movie referencing it, as it is one of the character's main grievances that prompts him to act (I didn't know it was and is a thing). It is a very funny and wholehearted movie that has you rooting for the underdogs, not unlike CK.

Watched my UK blu ray copy, good disk, great film which I can and do watch over and over:



Still genuinely unnerving, the frightened policeman early on really affects you, and then the guy who runs to the church to try to escape. "Running. Leaping."

If anything, the film is slightly too short and doesnt have time (or budget) to cover some of the stuff in the original serial.

Discussed it with Julian Glover at a signing. He is rightly proud of the film.

Andrew Keir makes a perfect Quatermass, gruff, obstinate, entirely scientific and rational in his approach. Great cast all round.

So, yesterday I watched the first three episodes of the Beast Games (Amazon), and I was thrilled, amused, shocked, and appalled by what I watched and my own reactions as a viewer.

Fixing to watch, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn

Crazy addicting action and fantasy movie if you ask me. Watched it at least 100 times since it's original release.

That's roughly equivalent to having to grind for those 20m Legend cars in GT7...
Personally, I wouldn't do either!
Actually, it's more like "auto"ing" the FOMO races in FM23.
Can't you just put one on in the background and "auto" it when you go out to work. It'll be done by the time you get back

Kind of defeats the purpose. My wife is already giving me crap for watching some of the old, long movies at double speed.
