What are your goals in GT5? (when you get it)
Here are some things you might want to answer:

What car would you save up for? What color?
Do you want to complete the license tests (all) ?
Do you want to own all cars?

Now be creative and tell us what would be your GT5 goals!:)

+Plus a poll (I know these are 2 threads in 1:dunce:)

RULES:
1. Please don't write what you voted on the poll (only write your goals), please.
2.Try to stay on-topic as much as you can!

I've set my goals low. GT2+GT5P graphics. I'm expecting changes since I never played much of GT3 or GT4... but if it's at least like that then I'll be happy.

I also hope Mechanical and Visual damage can be turned off because I'm not a masochist and I like beautiful cars to stay beautiful

I also would love to see a lot of 1-off customs, concept cars, and pop-culture tuner types in the game. Those mean more to me than full livery editors. I would like to see a paint shop though, and I'm glad to hear you can purchase visual upgrades for cars.

Lots of online features. A great online mode with alot of features trumps photomode and livery editors when it comes to replayability. When its all said and done people are going to spend the vast majority of their time with GT5 online NOT GT Mode just like GT5P so they better make sure it has alot of features.

Day and night because I'm a big fan of the endurance races, and would love to see the major changes in the track during nighttime. Track is colder, tires take longer to warm up, having to know the track %100 in the dark, otherwise you will crash and total your car.

My goal in GT5 is to win the 24H Nuburgring without crashing the car once on the track (keep in mind day/night cycle, and insane corners on this track with intense braking points) and win 1st place.

Very tricky to pick just one, for me its a combination of physics, AI and having a large number of real tracks.

My goals for the game, improve my driving, try and get a bit more of the need to drive fast out of my system rather than on the roads (though to be honest I doubt that will happen until they release a version of GT which includes the forces on the body you get with driving fast!

Physics. What's a driving game without perfect physics? After that, probably graphics (which I know isn't listed), then tracks, then weather and day/night, then damage, and the rest I'm not really concerned about.

My goal is just to collect as many cars as possible. Most of the ones in my garage will probably be Le Mans sports cars, rally cars, and Ferraris. I'd also like to become a better driver, but that's my goal with every racing game I play.

Very good choice :)👍

to buy and drive every car and to tune them all fully too. oh yeah to obtain all licenses and maybe speed laptime and speed test again all cars after fully tuning them. what cars do i want? F430 Gallardo GTR V-spec and an enzo.

Weather & Day/Night Racing.

I saw the "rules" after I voted, so I apologize - I had a strangely similar poll not too long ago and the same thing occurred.

Anyway, Weather is a key factor involved with my purchase incentive toward GT5. I would be horribly disappointed if rain wasn't in GT5 - especially after all of Kaz's talk about it being in the game; which has been spread across the several years of the games development. Night racing is another highly coveted feature demanded by the fans for inclusion in GT5.

Now, it appears to be up in the air - again. One interview says it's in and another interview says maybe.

This is just stupid. It's either in or it's not, so why lie about it or even make vague remarks regarding these features? They [Polyphony Digital] have had PLENTY of time to implement these features into the game.

If they implemented damage in only 2 months - and weather and time of day have been on the program for years - what's the hold-up? Put them in already!!!!! :grumpy:

Where’s the ‘other’ option? For me, a proper penalty system that punishes grass-cutting and wall-riding in all modes of play is more important than any of those poll choices. So I haven’t voted.

Of the poll choices, I think AI improvement is the most important.

The least important of the poll choices are body kits and a livery editor. Given a choice, I would never use those features and so they would not improve the game in my opinion.

Online features to add endless competition and replay value, and if the AI turns out stupid then even more reason to get online. The GT5 Prologue online setup is a disaster.

That's why PD is implementing damage that not only affects the appearance of your vehicle, but it's handling as well; to assist in preventing those types of things from occurring.

Damage is not enough to guard against all corner cutting. Cutting across grass would not cause a large enough amount of damage to compensate for the time gained. Cutting across tarmac (Top Gear Test Track?) would not cause any damage at all.
