What car to use for Supercar Festival?

I apologize in advance if I missed somewhere that this was discussed previously, but I could not come across anything helpful. I was hoping that by the time I got to the Supercar Festival I would have actually been able to win a supercar to compete with, but alas it seems that is not the case. So I guess that means I'm going to have to use my limited budget (around 450,000) to purchase and modify my own for competition. So are there any suggestions on a fairly cheap car that can get the job done? Thanks.

Ford GT if you want to annihilate the competition. A bargain for a supercar at 149,880.

How exactly did you look?

I just did a bog standard quick search above of "supercar festival" and got several topics containing lots of information on the Supercar Festival, including:

...all of which contain "supercar" and "festival" in the thread title. I fail to see how you could really have searched and not come up with these threads. Did you search at all?

amp88 ftw. I never did a quick search, I just browsed around the place. My apologies guys. Ill make sure to do a more thorough search from now on. :dunce:

Bobk, will the Ford GT do the trick stock or fully tuned?

And I'm assuming the R34 would need a full tune job right?

The Ford GT can do it bone stock except for an oil change. The R34 in stock form doesn't come close to meeting the 593 minimum HP requirement.

I added a racing exhaust to mine, more for the sound than the extra power, racing brakes and balance controller set with a tad of front bias, racing suspension, triple clutch and racing flywheel, S3 tires, and against the advice of Scaff's excellent tuning guide, a fully customizeable transmission.

Cool, at least you owned up to it and are going to search in the future 👍

Welcome to GTP, hope you enjoy your stay and good luck with this race series.

I'm afraid you're wrong there Pink_the_Floyd, the car must be a production car so all the tuner and concept versions are out, as well as race cars.

The Ford GT is a very good choice, another good one is the Saleen S7 as you'll need it later in the game to complete the one-make race at Saleen so you could save some credits by buying it now. The downside is the price, over 500.000Cr but as we all know, money comes fairly easily in this game. 👍

Like many other people have said, a Ford GT will do the job nicely, however I did the supercar festival in a fully modified Nissan Skyline GT-R M-Spec Nur with over 900 hp. Overkill? Yes. Fun to destroy an SLR McLaren with a Japanese sports car? Absolutely. :)

I used a RUF Yellowbird with a stage four turbo otherwise it wouldnt have enough HP to get in the challenge comes not from the cars but the life of the tyres without traction control:crazy:

How can you guys even do that? If I try to enter those kinds of cars, the specs say the car must be unmodified and have over 368kW/493bhp... so either versions are different... or... :/

Agreed except for the S7. It felt very sluggish to me and I dumped it after failing to do any remarkable result whatsoever... Waste of money imho...👎

Okay well moving on....does anyone have a good tuning guide for the Mercedes-Benz AMG Mercedes CLK-GTR Race Car? Duck's tuning jobs never do any good for me and GTVault is yet to send me my activation email.... I'm having trouble beating GT World Chapionship with those damn Nissans! (R89C and R92CP) :grumpy:

Unmodified in GT4 doesn't mean unmodified. It means that the car used has to be a production model, not a concept or race car. You can modify your car in order to make it eligible.

And that question shouldn't be in here. This was a thread about the Supercar festival. Your new question is about the GTWC and settings for a car. Settings go in the settings and tuning forum. I would recommend you do a search though. Questions about the GTWC are asked all the time here.
