I might be trading it in soon, or just getting rid of it all together, anyways. The Pon Tee Ack as well.

I know - it's ugly, isn't it? I'll get to see Saturday.

Yaay! But don't tell me you're getting an SRT-4 like everybody else.

Doug, use this avatar. It's like 10x better.

Not really ugly. It's different, though.

I would shoot myself in the cajones before I would buy an SRT-4.

If I trade the GS in on something it will probably be a '98-ish SC300. If I sell, or trade, the Trans Am I'd most likely use the money towards a new Tacoma, Tundra, or a 4Runner that's only a couple years old.

Fine, but there are rules:
- Tundra must have iForce V8
- Tacoma must have V6 and 4wd
- 4Runner cannot be current model, it's far too ugly
- SC300 must be SC400 (no GTP member will wimp out and get the V6 on my watch)

You:
- Think it's ricey
- Think it's over-rated
- Think it's poorly built
- Think it's generally ugly
- Hate it

-Fine
-Duh
-That's why I said '4Runner that's only a couple years old.' I wouldn't drive a new one if you paid me.
-I completely forgot about the SC400.:banghead:

I think the same.👍

Owning an SRT-4 is the new trend, or something - the new trend I don't want to ever be a part of.

In situations like that, indeed.:P

So you'd rather do an SC400? Lexus, for some reason, decided the design was long-lasting enough to go from 1992 all the way to 2000, so some later examples are more expensive. Horsepower went from 250 to 260 in 1996.

[edit]I forgot to mention horsepower went up to 300 in 1998[/edit]

Meh, I have mixed feelings about them but it certainly is a trend - we have something like four people on this website with them.

What's the hp rating for the SC300's? Not that it matters really. This is a daily driver, not a car for me to **** around in. I'm pretty much done wanting fast cars that will get me into trouble. I'll own a Supra one of these days, though.;)

The Evo VIII is almost as trendy. Like 4-5 people here have them. There would probably be more if it was the same price as the SRT-4.

That's how I always thought it was spelled, but when I intentionally misspelled it in a google search it came back with, "Did you mean to type Poka Dots?" Plus I found both spellings on google, so I went with what sounded right.:odd:

It was the same engine from the GS300 of the time, though it got five more horsepower (225). Still, you need the V8, especially if it was rated at 300 horsepower.

Well duh if the Evo was the same price as the SRT-4 more people would have them, especially considering that would make it $20k for 271 horsepower (or whatever it is).

Well, maybe it's Poka. I know Polka's a boring dance, so you're probably right.

How is it a trend? Only 500 were made. Its a good car, great to drive, especially at the track...

Because it's the "cool" thing to have right now. Every 16 year old wants one just like they want a WRX, or an Evo. Just like they wanted altezza's, and stupid aluminum wings a while ago. It's the new fad, or trend, or whatever the hell you prefer to call it.

Really? No wonder I've seen precisely two. But with those two and the three owned at GTP, that makes it as I'm associated with one percent of all SRT-4s built.

Gimme a medal!
