What did you do in GT7 today?

I'm not sure if it's the new physics (which I like quite a lot) or just me getting better, but I crushed the gold time for the Tokyo Expressway - South Counterclockwise circuit experience by like half a second, so I'm quite pleased with myself. Redoing the missions and license tests has also usually been easier than I expected them to be - the only difficult ones left are S-4, which shouldn't be that hard considering the CE I just did, and Mixed Class Overtaking 1. I also did one of the Honda Spa time trials and got bronze, those are very fun.

I have just enough to get the Bugatti Veyron which I received an invitation for, but I'm going to wait and earn some more credits first. I probably won't do this, but someone talk me out of buying 500k credits because redoing missions/tests after a new physics update doesn't give you any more credits.

Edit: if you’ve progressed far enough in the game yet: Not going to tell you how you should enjoy your game, but doing the Sardegna or Le Mans is fun, takes 30 minutes and you get CRs on top of that…

I've unlocked both of those events on those tracks, I just haven't done either of them yet. I just felt like I should get something for doing the license tests again on the new physics. Not sure if I actually will buy anything, though.

I finished the game, buying the one car I dearly missed, the Ferrari FXX-K !!

I'd suggest to play the game then :)

I don't think I've ever done that in the game, because I didn't want to waste an extra 100,000 credits.
Its not so bad plus you can use the 150K credits ticket from the WC.

Plus if your car engines gets to the bad status and you don't do a rebuild you car is not performing at its best so you wanna do a engine rebuild.:)

I have been doing engine overhaul at yellow: normal: not red: bad: and have never noticed a 5hps loss. mostly on Alfa 155 and McLaren f1 97
All cars lose hp the more you drive them, overall my p1 is sitting at close to 40K miles and has lost 5hp. But my Suzuki which is sitting at 123K miles has lost 8hp overall.

How many miles have you driven your Alfa 155 and McLaren f1 97?

24,828 for the 155 says PP 659.20: I usually run medium high rpm turbo. 7,422 on the F1 '97. I don't have a second one to check. 775.56...big drop from 1.49

SO what if you go into the Shop and buy a new engine? I'd assume you get back the original performance as it's a new engine completely and not rebuilding an already used one. Asking because I've never done it.

Yes, a new engine will restore the HP. I used to auto grind the Tomahawk and put tens of thousands of miles on that car. I bought a couple of new engines of the miles to restore performance. It was worth it as the car earned me 100s of millions of credits.

I have never seen the rebuild animation. Thanks for sharing. I drive all the cars pretty much so I haven't had one get to rebuild phase. Heck, I think I've only washed four or five of them and have done less than ten oil changes.

Yes you can buy new engines for most cars and it fully restores the HP back to factory.

But when it comes to cars like the fxx-k or p1 gtr you don't have that option and engine rebuild is the only option you have.

Guess I had my most profitable day today 🤩 first I’ve bought a 250 GT. What a beauty. And the I took the GT500 RC F to Spa for the 60 minutes race. At 72% power and FM1 it just demolished the field and I lapped everyone. So definitely too much car for the ra e but what an absolute joy to drive. I had such a great time.

Got a 6* ticket and it gave me a Veneo 🤑 pretty pleased today to say the least.

Today was an interesting play, learning the new Daily Races, Suzuka is crazy, but Norwald is nuttier, didnt bother with Rally lol!

In no particular order:
Firstly, did some runs on the practice for GR cup with the Yaris, got a good run and that should be fun at Gran valley.

Then moved onto the daily Race B, Suzuka with my NSX GT500 car, that didn't go so well, got punted by a grip losing idiot and then struggled to get back up to 10th, then lost it on last lap and spun out and just lost it all. Disappointing, frustrating, need to practice more over the week.

Over to Daily Race C, had high hopes and what a cluster bomb this race is, lol. Started off by gettin' rammed into the train on last/starting corner before start line, then ghosting my thru to 12th and then battled, I didnt even realise the Famous and Vesuvious KIMI VELOCI was in my race, I was equally freaked out and amazed to see him. Unfortunatley, I got pitted by a russian guy on lap 5 called DISRUS and he didnt even stop or apologise, typcial dirty racer. It was an B lobby so I didnt expect much, need to improve my rank all over again, post MCWS races. I battled and chased him to 8th postiion, but finished just behind him. Overal choppy race the course is very narrow for these open wheel cars.

Then did some tuning, had to spend my newly acquired 100mill on something, Bought a SKLYINE Race-cars, after completing the menu book for JGTC cars, they all so cool the NSX, SUPRA and SKYLINE.

Lastly did an nice engine swap on the FOcus RS '18 with the FORD GT Test lm spec V8 and it purred along. 4wd and 722bhp tune up later and it sang on my shakedown on tsukuba and Special stage Route X, will try rally time tomorrow and see how it goes.

Overall chilled day bumyp GT7 day, but not too intense.

Yesterday was a pretty good session. I did a couple of races in the DBR9 at the WTC800 Watkins Glen race. The car is quite good, but it does use up the front tires a bit too much. After that, I played around in my swapped M4 in a few more races. That thing is so fun! I then pulled out one of my NSXs, did the HR414E swap, and tested at the Turbo Sports Suzuka race. I pulled out the Castrol NSX GT500 and did the WTC800 Watkins Glen race again. I finally decided to pull the trigger on the Subaru WRC98 as well, before I got off for the night. I need to build up some more cash before the GT-One shows up again. I have a feeling it will be over 3M credits when it comes back.

Took my Toyota GT one to Sardegna - easy win.

Went to the Legends dealer and broke down and bought the Ferrari 250GT, but sold my Jaguar XJ13 and a couple other cars to make up for it.

Created a livery for the new Genesis VGT race car we just got. Nothing fancy - just bright chrome. Thought it would look cool.
Made it available to everyone in the showcase.

I tried to finish the WC and I was unsuccessful. I went to the Legends and bought the green 240Z. Green is my favorite color so I will actually keep it that color. I downloaded a livery for the 98 WRX and painted it black. Got a 4 ⭐ 🎫 ticket for my troubles and I got a Ferrari invite. I have won at least one of each of the invite cars but I will probably buy a few more Enzos as that is my favorite of the bynch
