AWD
FWD
RWD
What do you like the best?
What are your favorite cars?
And why?
Many would argue that RWD is the best. AWD systems can sometimes suffer from understeer, and they have a few other disadvantages (added weight, may be less reliable, and I've heard they rob horsepower as well). RWD is certainly the classic method of driving an automobile and arguably the best if performance and handling is the most important thing. These days, though, FWD is probably the most practical solution as it provides the best gas mileage and cargo room.

I just wanna say, This is incredible!! i finally have people to talk freely about cars!!!! omg thank god! thank you all and i hope u guys keep posting replies and stuff.....thank you please come again
Eh... well, just try to rein things in a bit okay? It seems like every time we get a new member, they just HAVE to post three or four new threads that are completely redundant and have been covered several times before. Try to avoid posting new threads if possible... just reply to an existing one (but make sure you're on topic).

I like RWD and AWD not a big fan of FWD......I like 350z, I would like skylineif it was legal in the US....NSX is okay i like that it has 50/50 weight balance.....I like definately EVO's and Subaru Impreza WRX STI is okay...i only like japanese cars sorry to luxury lovers including mercedes and bmw maniacs...dont even talk to me about american cars...sorry to american muscle people......RSX i would love if it was RWD.....and these are only comments on modern day cars.....
Well maybe you just have a little nationalistic pride going (if you are indeed an "Azn" as your account name suggests). Nothing wrong with that. I have a certain affection for Italian cars, even crappy Fiats, since I have an Italian background. But I tend to focus on the aspects that each country or manufacturer does best. American companies may make a few good compact cars, but it's not really their specialty, just as large cars aren't really the strong point of most Japanese companies.

PS: wat does PS and bhp mean??....im sorry kinda new... i know that Hp is horse power and whp is wheel horse power.....but i dont get those 2... O and also i forgot the abbreviations for the front engine and rear wheel drive and stuff like that can you guys give me a list?.....like those FR, FFand stuff like that.....
PS is just a German abbreviation for horsepower, and it's calculated slightly differently from HP. Look at the Wiki page for horsepower for more information. I know that 276 HP is equivalent to 280 PS, so 1 PS is about the same as 0.98 HP. They're almost equivalent ratings.

o and wats point of scions???? they haev low horse power and everything......
Scions are economical and practical cars. Not really fast, but they get good gas mileage, they're fun and easy to drive, they're not too expensive, and they have pretty good cargo and passenger room. Not exactly what you're looking for in a race car, but most people looking for a new car don't care that much about going fast. They'd much rather have something that's practical for everyday driving. And look at it this way - the Scions may be kind of slow, but they're extremely fast compared to many of the cars in GT4 (like the Daihatsu Midget, Ford Model T, Fiat 500, and the list goes on).

Let me just ask......wHat is the street legal law thingy for US....because you know i heard skyline is nnot street legal or something.....is there like HP limitations or something???
o and do u guys have driving licenses...or how old are u guys??? certainly not my age.....
I'm 22 and I've had my driver's license since I was about two weeks shy of 17.
I don't know all the laws governing what makes a car street legal in the US, but the reason why the Skyline is not street legal is because it was never officially imported here and therefore it never went through the series of tests and inspections necessary to pass a car for sale in this country. A car must be crash tested, its emissions must be measured, its gauges and lights must comply with certain standards, and so on. It is a VERY involved procedure that only the very rich or car companies can afford to do. There are other Japanese cars that are easy to import, because certain models were sold in the US at some point. The Nissan 240SX, for example, was sold in the US as well as Japan, so you can bring over a Japanese 240SX (Silvia) rather easily. But the Skyline was never sold in the US so importing one is a tremendous and extremely expensive ordeal.
Import restrictions no longer have an effect after 25 years in the US, so you have to wait until 2015 to import a 1990 Skyline GT-R R32 without spending an arm and a leg getting it up to spec. One thing I have heard is that the restriction is only 15 years in Canada, meaning R32s are rather common up there. And in Australia, Skylines are even more common since, well, they were sold there.
