What do you miss from GT1 and 2?

What do you all miss form GT2?

I used to play the hell out of motorsportsland.  It was fun as hell, and could be done really fast if you were good.  It would be so much fun with an F1 car.  

I loved the redrocks course.  It was the only racing track with high banks.  

I miss my Cerbera LM, and my Espace F1.

Most of you are probabally missing racing mods, but I think its an improvement to be rid of them.  (real race cars never started out as production cars)

But i want some BODY KITs!!! hehe, that be awesome, just for the looks you know? Diff spoilers etc. Damn that be awesome!
 
Im actually disappointed with gt3.  They dont have the tracks, you cant choose whatever track you want for time trials, and there are a lot more things I dont like about the game.  
It has great feedback, graphics etc, but all the things I loved about gt2 are gone.  
Its amazing that there are no used cars you can buy and even in the 2 player racing, your limited to the tracks you can race on.   That sucks.  
Im sorry, but if I would have known that the game was not like the gt2 series, I may have thought twice about purchasing the game.  
For those of us that love the  versatility of the gt2, gt3 pales in the amunt of things you can do.  
I guess for the graphics and all that IS new, they took away some of the favorite things we love.  
Its too bad.  
Oh well, just venting my feelings for the game.  Very disappointed,  anyone with me on this.
How do you ppl feel about this???

Only 180 cars on a DVD Rom? What the ****
? GT2 had 400 and it was on a normal 700mb cd, the dvd rom holds 13gigz !!

I MISS THE USED CARS :(
 
why couldn't they have added custom paint jobs, custom license plates, custom spoilers, etc etc ??  it looks like the gt series is devolving instead of evolving.
 
GT3 is awesome, however it could of used about 300 more cars at least. Why the hell did a game like this not have Ferraries and Lamborghinies?!?

Also the tune up shop is kinda limited. It would be awesome if you could buy spoilers and stuff. Also if there multiple brands of each thing like turbo kits, theres tons of people who make those things, that woulda' been hot. Where's the Nitrus?!?

Oh well...
 
Ditto on the NOS. Now if they would just hire us for the new gt4 game, it would be awesome.  
We'd make it the best game in the world.  
Im glad Im not the only one with the feelings of the gt3 game.

**** if you dont like GT3 then dont play it, and dont snob all over this place. But I would like the Red Rock Valley back, and please no 10-75 lap races!
 
If they ever made a game perfect in a series then that would be the end of the series.  Nobody wants a total flop for a continued game in a series.  Just think how many years they'll be able to milk us for additional GT games in the future.  I am looking forward to it - start milking.  :)
 
The only reason GT3 has only 200 cars is because it took them at least 2 weeks to model each car in gt3, in gt2 it only took them about a day or 2.  It had nothing to do with disc space.
 
Most of all i miss red rock valley and to time trial on any track.Well,i guess you can do a trial on any track but only in arcade mode and then you win all the tracks too.That kinda sucks.
 
I miss all the short tracks. Tracks like Autumnring Mini, Seattle Short, Grand Valley East and Clubman SS5 were better at the start of the game and would be best suited to the lightweight and slower-paced races. Also fun to go back and kill your old lap times with JGTC cars! And since most of them are short versions of existing tracks, I'm surprised they weren't in there. No used cars is a shame, and also drags down the fun near the start of the game.

And Misnblu, the Free Run seems to be the same as the old Time Trials (saves your record times, etc.) and if you go through the Arcade races (even on easy) you bust out all the tracks for 2P and Free Run. I think I can even 2-player on SS5 Wet and Complex String! :)

Overall, I think the improvements outweigh the disappointments...
 
No problems on venting feelings.  
Supra, I was just expressing a feeling of slight disappointment and not saying I dislike the game.  I dont mind feedback, just keep it nice.  
If a person cant vent, then no use in coming here.  
Nothing against you, just be a little nicer next time.  
Crackhoor, Ive tried the freerun and went to the arcade races with two player in mind and could get only 5 or 6 tracks.  Maybe Im doing something wrong.  Oh well, like everything, Ill figure it out.

Yeah, it makes you win the arcade races before you get more tracks for Free Run or 2P. Check the Clear Status: each group (A,B,C...) is opened by beating all the tracks in the previous group. You can use any car and any difficuly to open more tracks, but you have to do them on Hard to get all your % out of 'em. I do agree that it would be nice to have more off the bat (esp for 2P), but they are there!

Yeah.. but it would also be like TWENTY disks after everyone is done with it!
 
Thanks crackhoor, I forgot about that.  Last time I played, I played on another machine and it had everything opened.

I dont understand why all these people want nitrous on the game. What are you gonna do with it? Maybe if they added a drag racing mode, then there would be a reason for adding nitrous, but its not needed on an actual race course. And its N2O, not NOS. Pet peeve of mine since that damn fast and the furious came out, everybody calling it NOS.
 
i miss having the used cars and HP limitations because in gt3 you bacically need1 car too win all the races in gt2 u need to buy a whole bunch  to meet the right hp
 
I miss building a car and converting it to Race Team car.  I mean, in GT3 when I build a car that kick the other LM Race Cars or GT Race cars, IT would be nice if it looked like a race car instead of a production car on steroids.  :)

Also, according to my bro, you could drag race funnies.  That would be pretty cool, maybe even cooler than the F-1's.
 
I miss the ability to transform any car into a race looking car with the race upgrade in GT1, I don't know if you were able to do it in GT2 because i never owned it.
