I kinda feel like if you name a car specifically, you're wishing. People like to reference the datamined list but its noted that cars on that list aren't guaranteed to be in the game and then you have cars the Ioniq that totally skipped the list. Is it even a reliable source anymore? But I do understand why "wish lists" are forbidden.

A bold choice considering the latest LMH we have is from 2021 (and ironically, so is the latest car in the game from Aston Martin).

If its what I think it is (Haven't watched the video yet), its probably the renders from the original announcement.
Edit: Yep, that's just renders for the official announcement. Doesn't at all fell like an in-game capture as there far too many similar style reveal from other teams.

See, a cool move PD could make would be to have each of the latest LMH (I'm guessing that means Le Mans Hypercar? I dunno the lingo these days.) I can't remember what each of them is but pair that up with the release of Endurance races? Bam, so much beautiful co-marketing right there. Generate excitement for the upcoming race, the cars, various news sites (outside of GTP) posting some stuff, get this cross pollination going. There's logic in it rather than say, the C-HR.
I don't necessarily care about these new crazy cars but that'd still light a tiny fire in my dusty, cold, black charcoal of a heart. I might even watch a bit of the race!
But I'm guessing that isn't possible as I'm sure the manufacturers/teams of these new cars are currently super secretive about them.

I saw a few original Audi Quattros on YouTube yesterday and I was thinking, that's a rather significant car that this game is sorely lacking. GT7 has added a few historically significant vehicles such as the Citroen DS, Renault 4, Ford Sierra Cosworth, Mercedes 190E Evo II, Honda Civic EF, McLaren MP4/4, Aston Martin Valkyrie and 32 Ford Roadster. We have also received cars that are historically significant in the context of GT, such as the Suzuki Escudo, Toyota GT-One TS020, Subaru Impreza 22B Rally Car, Castrol Honda NSX and Nissan Skyline Super Silhouette. Then you have stuff like the Mitsubishi Evo 8 and 9, which are both build on the CT9A chassis.
So, here's my prediction:
-Subaru Impreza WRX STi '05 (the Hawkeye variant)
-Audi Quattro '82
-Nissan R390 GT1 '98
And for something a little left of field:
-Renault Avantime '02

That certainly would make big discussion for a Gran Turismo legacy brand launching an up to date race car(including the alt livery no doubt) in GT7. Not to mention having the road car already in the game.

I don't know if we need a slightly updated GR010, especially since we've been getting liveries for it via the TGR Cup that reflect its yearly appearances. Similarly, I don't think the Vanwall and IF are necessary at all. Otherwise, I'm fully on-board with every other racer you've mentioned, plus the upcoming Ford entry.
Honestly, I'd also love to see Cadillac and Acura become eligible for the Manufacturers Cup, and the latter could have a Gr.4 version of the new Integra Type-S alongside a Gr.3 version of the exclusive NSX Type-S, which does seem to look notably different from the 2nd-gen NSX that we already have.
Ah, but I suppose I had a lot to say about Gr.1, like how as far as Group C racers go, I'd really just want the Peugeot 905 and Toyota TS010, with the latter effectively completing the "TS" line, aside from the TS040. I'd take it over the return of the 88C-V, even.
Anyway, to predict the next update? I'm glad we got a Group C-themed Extra Menu, and on the subject of Le Mans, we could end up getting an Extra Menu based on the three 2016 LMP1 racers we have, too. But personally, I'd much rather see some Extra Menus focused on designers or design houses, like Giorgetto Giugiaro and/or Pininfarina. I also do wonder if we still could get a Bonus Menu focused on the F3500-A? Though I suppose the likeliest time we would see that would've been with this latest update.
Very interesting to see nine new engines this time instead of five or ten, too - and I'm still holding out to see more swaps for some engines that can only go into one car, like those from the Corvette C6 ZR1 and the Aventador SV. I would be quite surprised if the latter never ends up in the Countach LP400, seeing how it can also go into the Countach 25th Anniversary. And the LS9 from the C6 ZR1 could totally go into another, older GM machine, like the Pontiac GTO Judge, or maybe an older Cadillac if we end up getting one. (Could be especially cool if we get a '57 Chevrolet Bel-Air and it ends up in that!)

Yes, you're about five years out of date
In essence the class was originally proposed as a road-derived category with the Valkyrie almost the archetype (as noted in my article yesterday), but it became problematic because balancing them would have been a nightmare. The formula morphed into a rote set of dimensions, weights, and power output, and when it was proposed that GTP cars could be included as an equivalent LMDh category Aston Martin used that as an excuse to bail - with a whole "we thought we'd be racing peers, not this crap" - but in reality was struggling financially too.
Most brands took LMH as a downtuned (and less expensive) LMP1 category, with prototype chassis - some based on older LMP2s - adapted to fit the technical regulations. There's only been three that were "road car" based: the SCG007, the Isotta, and now the Valkyrie... which Aston suddenly doesn't have an issue with racing against race cars and LMDh (and directly, taking on IMSA GTP as well).
In essence the class is a set chassis weight, size and power - with the 670hp delivered however you want, including pure ICE or hybrid, though the ICE has to be a set minimum weight.

Well considering the last 2 tracks that were added to the game are more or less useless (a snow track and a road course that is way too tight for any decent racing to be had) and have not been utilized in any way since they were first added, it would be nice to get an actual racing circuit be it real or fictional.
I'd be surprised, and very disappointed, if Pikes Peak was the next track that is added as it will be yet another track that has no practical use and will be used once for a TT and then will never be seen again. Also considering how much PD are leaning into the esports side of things these days it doesn't make much sense to add.
Ideally Twin Ring Motegi would be a great choice of circuit to add as with it's different layouts you are getting 3 tracks for the price of 1 (4 if they include the old super speedway).

We're calling it the February 2025 update because... why not? While Kazunori Yamauchi has stated that the updates aren't monthly by design we have grown to expect it. February seems likely, ahead of the game's third anniversary, and it'll probably be called 1.56.
As a quick fun note, there have been 99 cars added to the game to date. I wonder what car #100 will be - something special, perhaps?

- Predictions are guesses with evidence. Given that the entire past history of free Gran Turismo game updates (with one exception) has given us the expectation of the number of cars (single digits) and tracks (one or zero), if you're posting ridiculously long lists of cars and multiple tracks then that's a wishlist. See the first rule. So are lists of brands (multiple) which have never been in the game series before or which have been cut and are showing no signs of returning (coughs Lotus *coughs).
- bUt We DoN't HaVe AnY eViDeNcE. Sure you do. There's been, like, 27 content updates now. That shows you what volume of content you can expect and what type of content PD is focusing on. Lately it's also been filling in generational gaps of certain model lines and there's quite a few left, but there's been a few surprises in the past, some well-placed cars from our Suggestions forum (hey look, another place to express your car/track wishes!), and some 4K-era upgrades to cars from previous games.

My predictions are:
Ferrari 499p. PD liked a post several months ago and it would be a good fit for the 100th car added and the game's anniversary.
Imola. Fits the Ferrari theme and the second theme I see could be added (Senna).
Senna theme. Anniversary and they did it in the past before. Some single player content to fit the theme and it would fit a major anniversary update.
B-Spec and more Sophy related content. More customization and features.
Changes to the hud. They have made chages to the world tour races and I can see some of them coming in a major anniversary update. The tyre simulation has also evolved and more information would be great to have.
Sony is also starting to signal the sunset of ps4. I can see them bringing more ps5 exclusive content during this year and starting with this update. Sophy is one the ps5 exclusive features ofc. I hope larger grids is another but there's not much evidence supporting it other than they now have online endurance races and longer world tour races. And they are changing the DR scales which could mean something is also changing in sport mode. Could FIA races come back?

Alright, if I'm optimising my predictions for "amount of forum discussion generated" as per the video tease, but keeping everything to things we at least have to have some reasoning for, I come up with the following controversial selections:
New track: Zell am See Ice Race. It was the other forgotten track in the same datamine that made everyone think Montreal was coming. A second snow/ice track coming before a Sport Mode-friendly track would go down... interestingly.

- Suzuki Cappuccino (EA21R) '95. It's a "duplicate" and a slow kei car, so it's bound to cause arguments about whether it's a worthy choice. It's also a returning Premium and a Suzuki (who are doing really well for numbers in GT7 DLC), so it has higher chances than most cars to end up in the game.
- Ferrari Purosangue '23. The SUV influx continues! People get a modern car and a new Ferrari, but are conflicted because it isn't a 296 or the F80! There's not too much reason to think a super-modern Ferrari is coming, but you'd have said the same of Lamborghini before the Urus got added, and the Urus is the logic I'm following here.
- Lancia Delta HF Integrale Rally Car '92. A race car that is in the datamine, and one that a section of the fanbase will really like, but also not a race car that will satisfy the modern GT3/Hypercar-hungry. Seems ripe for controversy. Might be a bit too much synergy with the track for a GT update though.

I get the feeling that if we get a new racer that's in Gr.2/Gr.1/Gr.3/etc. that it'll likely come by itself as opposed to alongside its "companions," like we've seen with the Audi RS5 DTM. Or, it might simply not be all "companions" all at once, like how GT7 launched with both the JGTC-era Supra GT500 and Skyline GT-R R34, but it took a while to see that trio get completed with the Honda NSX GT500 from the 2000 season. Granted, I think there've been rare exceptions, with the 2016 GT500 trio being one example where they all got released at the same time. Still, I'd love to see the other three DTM racers from the end of the "Class One" era, being from Aston Martin, Mercedes-AMG, and BMW.
Speaking of that group, I also imagine that the Bentley Speed 8 that won Le Mans in 2003 would go into Gr.2 and not Gr.1 if it returns, if only because it raced in LMGTP just like the Toyota GT-One (TS020) - even though there's a solid four years between the two.
EDIT: I actually would like to see the Purosangue. Granted, there are other road-going Ferraris I'd prefer to see first, like the Sergio and 296, or the return of the SP1 as well as the 599. However, I think the Purosangue would make an excellent addition since we already have the Lamborghini Urus. Frankly, I think the bigger problem I'd have is if all these neat performance SUVs got added - like the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk or the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT - and somehow, they don't get raced against each other. It could be a Bonus Menu event in World Circuits - or better yet, at least a special Sport Mode race where you pick from a pre-tuned selection of performance SUVs.
EDIT2: I also have relatively minimal idea what sort of track could be next, though unfortunately, I don't think we'll get any historic layouts. I'd love to see the 1960s version of Fuji Speedway, too - with the massive banked turn 1 - but I just don't see it happening. Besides, I'd much rather have other new real-world venues such as Lime Rock Park, or the return of Indianapolis - and that's before we get into other venues outside the USA, or original circuits!
It could even be something as relatively simple as a new layout, and I do think there remains potential in that regard. For example, the format for Colorado Springs does still imply there's another format to be added. Plus, I would bet we could see a Tokyo Expressway North, West, and Outer Loop, with the last one being especially interesting since the Tokyo Expressway layouts were re-named from "inner/outer loop" to "clockwise/counter-clockwise".
I also speculate that a new city course is remarkably unlikely, but I think we'll see a lot more of them in GT8. Why? Because I think the relative lack of city circuits in GTS/GT7 is due to technical limitations related to the PS4.

Although the Predictatron 3000, as presented by @Famine (and solid statistics from other members), is probably the safest choice, I really don't think it's the way to go this time...
I mean, a track is just a track. It's not a revolution. It's been known to happen. Even Pikes Peak. It's not like Tom Morello selling his guitars, pursuing a new career making sweet politics with his pals Elon and Donald (), or The Clash reuniting (zombie style). A very very lean update would probably make us talk. The GT8 thread would definately... urm... gain a few followers.
