My only prediction, Valkyrie LMH
I kinda feel like if you name a car specifically, you're wishing. People like to reference the datamined list but its noted that cars on that list aren't guaranteed to be in the game and then you have cars the Ioniq that totally skipped the list. Is it even a reliable source anymore? But I do understand why "wish lists" are forbidden.Honestly I don't know how anyone can make any predictions without anything to go by...
There isn't a single clue...
At this point, anyone's guess is as good as $0 or anyone's else's....
Anything goes, as long as it doesn't resemble a wishlist, so the wildest of guess is ok, just dont say M5 or PikesPeak or the usual moaning...right Famine...?
Edit:
Feb is a short month ..
Valentine's day will occupy most of us for that quarter of the population who has a significant others...
Winner of this thread is the one predicting the closest outcome?
So I will find out in March ?
A bold choice considering the latest LMH we have is from 2021 (and ironically, so is the latest car in the game from Aston Martin). My only prediction, Valkyrie LMH
Based purely on the the video currently on the GTP news page, and how it looks like it could have been captured from an in game model.A bold choice considering the latest LMH we have is from 2021 (and ironically, so is the latest car in the game from Aston Martin).
If its what I think it is (Haven't watched the video yet), its probably the renders from the original announcement.Based purely on the the video currently on the GTP news page, and how it looks like it could have been captured from an in game model.
Yes, PLEASE!

I got youI can't remember what each of them is but pair that up with the release of Endurance races?
That certainly would make big discussion for a Gran Turismo legacy brand launching an up to date race car(including the alt livery no doubt) in GT7. Not to mention having the road car already in the game.Based purely on the the video currently on the GTP news page, and how it looks like it could have been captured from an in game model.
And this at LMH from WecI got you
LMH - Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH, Ferrari 499p, Isotta Fraschini Tipo 6 LMH-C, Peugeot 9x8 Evo, Toyota GR010 Evo, Vanwall Vandervell 680
LMDh - Acura ARX-06(IMSA only), Alpine A424(WEC only), BMW M Hybrid V8, Cadillac V-Seriea.R, Genesis GMR-001(currently only a scale model), Lamborghini SC63(currently IMSA only), Porsche 963
That doesn't really qualify as "the latest LMH" as the team withdrew at the end of 2023.And this at LMH from Wec

I don't know if we need a slightly updated GR010, especially since we've been getting liveries for it via the TGR Cup that reflect its yearly appearances. Similarly, I don't think the Vanwall and IF are necessary at all. Otherwise, I'm fully on-board with every other racer you've mentioned, plus the upcoming Ford entry.I got you

Yes, you're about five years out of dateFeel free to shut me down Famine cause this feels like its getting off topic.. I slightly retract or modify my statement on the LMH? I think I fell off the path somewhere way back but these cars aren't what I thought they were lol They just seem like LMPs.
I thought there was going to be a class that was like production based? Kinda like the old GT1 class? I thought the Valkyrie was one and then Porsche had something (some crazy road car they were building, like a follow up to the 918 or they were actually going to use the 918) and then I thought Ferrari had something that was based on whatever like the new tent-pole road car was. I don't know what its called. The follow up to the La Ferrari. And Mercedes had the One.
Is that a different class than LMH or is that idea gone? Since these are so different than what I thought, PD might add 1 of these with an endurance patch.

Well, that'll be wrong. My only prediction is that there is no February update and this thread becomes March to coincide with the anniversary of the release.
My error, sorry2021
Can we speculate on what you meant with that cliffhanger in your last video? Within the realms of possibilities ofc.Fine then...
Please use this thread to make your predictions for, and discuss, Gran Turismo 7's next update.
We're calling it the February 2025 update because... why not? While Kazunori Yamauchi has stated that the updates aren't monthly by design we have grown to expect it. February seems likely, ahead of the game's third anniversary, and it'll probably be called 1.56.
As a quick fun note, there have been 99 cars added to the game to date. I wonder what car #100 will be - something special, perhaps?
Notes:
- DON'T POST WISHLISTS
There are no second chances on this because we've wasted too much time with people who want to divert threads from their purpose and we've gone out of our way to give them enough other places to get it out of their system...
Apropos of that, wishlists go in the Car & Track Wishlist Thread which we made specifically for that purpose:
The Gran Turismo Car & Track Wishlist Thread...
It seems that making wishlists is a particularly popular hobby for many of you :D No matter what the thread may be, someone, somehow, seems to shoehorn a list of cars and/or tracks that they'd like in the game into it - and we have more than one thread that's basically a wishlist with extra...www.gtplanet.net- Predictions are guesses with evidence. Given that the entire past history of free Gran Turismo game updates (with one exception) has given us the expectation of the number of cars (single digits) and tracks (one or zero), if you're posting ridiculously long lists of cars and multiple tracks then that's a wishlist. See the first rule. So are lists of brands (multiple) which have never been in the game series before or which have been cut and are showing no signs of returning (coughs Lotus *coughs).
- bUt We DoN't HaVe AnY eViDeNcE. Sure you do. There's been, like, 27 content updates now. That shows you what volume of content you can expect and what type of content PD is focusing on. Lately it's also been filling in generational gaps of certain model lines and there's quite a few left, but there's been a few surprises in the past, some well-placed cars from our Suggestions forum (hey look, another place to express your car/track wishes!), and some 4K-era upgrades to cars from previous games.
- Go
This would be an insane update. I would love it.Alright, if I'm optimising my predictions for "amount of forum discussion generated" as per the video tease, but keeping everything to things we at least have to have some reasoning for, I come up with the following controversial selections:
New track: Zell am See Ice Race. It was the other forgotten track in the same datamine that made everyone think Montreal was coming. A second snow/ice track coming before a Sport Mode-friendly track would go down... interestingly.
3 new cars:
- Suzuki Cappuccino (EA21R) '95. It's a "duplicate" and a slow kei car, so it's bound to cause arguments about whether it's a worthy choice. It's also a returning Premium and a Suzuki (who are doing really well for numbers in GT7 DLC), so it has higher chances than most cars to end up in the game.
- Ferrari Purosangue '23. The SUV influx continues! People get a modern car and a new Ferrari, but are conflicted because it isn't a 296 or the F80! There's not too much reason to think a super-modern Ferrari is coming, but you'd have said the same of Lamborghini before the Urus got added, and the Urus is the logic I'm following here.
- Lancia Delta HF Integrale Rally Car '92. A race car that is in the datamine, and one that a section of the fanbase will really like, but also not a race car that will satisfy the modern GT3/Hypercar-hungry. Seems ripe for controversy. Might be a bit too much synergy with the track for a GT update though.
Then again, the Eiger update not only came with the GTHD car, but also two GT5-era icons...
