I think if they pull this game off to his expectations, and provide LOTS of DLC there is now resaon to make another GT on PS3!

Well he can do several things at a time.

- Patches and Updates for GT5
- Tourist Trophy 2
- Gran Turismo 6
- Any other game he plans on making
- Experimenting and improving aspects of the game - damage, dynamic weather, time of day, reverse lights.

I highly doubt DLC will be there, rather he will just drop in GT6.

Continue to update GT5 and provide further DLC.

I can see GT5 being supported for at least the next 5yrs. I very much doubt GT6 will be on his mind at the moment and I also doubt there will even be a PS4.

The future of gaming will not be a console anymore, Instead all we shall have is a small box that consists of an ethernet port, USB for controller. This is likely to take off in around 10yrs time but firstly we need to have at least 20mb download connections which are available to everyone. Hopefully 21CN will sort this out for those in the UK, although we do need FTTC to be installed ideally. The problem at the moment is BT are unwilling to foot the bill!

I can't wait for gt6.. I think that one is going to be the best if history is going to repeat itself..

LOL GT5 isn't even out yet, and your already waiting for GT6... I hope your really patient my friend.

Buying Turn10 :D

Yes and then close the company down

Cloud computing you mean. I don't see this being used in games as quickly as you might like to think. I have a 20mb internet connection and it sometimes jitters running HD video's on YouTube. So I don't think it will be able to run video games like this that are like 20GB+.

Also think about the large amount of bandwidth that would be used by people. Everyone would need to have unlimited download/upload for starters. Also 20MB+ internet connections are hard for people to get all around the world, such as people that don't live near major cities and are only able to get satelite, etc.

For me personally I don't think PD will release another GT game on PS3, I think they will continue to support GT5 and have add-on packs containing a couple tracks, several cars, and significant updates to gameplay/graphics.

This will make practically everyone want them, and mean more money for PD especially if they are selling them for $10+ USD each.

*PHOTO Kaz money*

Yes and no. I think GT5 is an example similar to Metal Gear Solid 4, a game with too much development time and sold in only one platform (presumably). Of course Polyphony will have profits with the game (this is business), but I imagine that not so much as, for example, EA with anyone of its two years of develop multiplatform titles.

Motor Toon GP HD.
I think it's about money only when it comes to Sony, but for PD, for Kaz, it's clearly not about money, 12 years ago he was nobody in the gaming industry nor the automotive, and now he's on his way to be a legend in both.

Yeah he could go with something that is a bit of light hearted entertainment.

I completly agree there :).

Ummm, maybe plan the next 10 years worth of development that GT6 will need!

Personally, I'd like to see an F1 series by PD. I'd also like to see him work with the Tourist Trophy 2 development team. The engine can clearly handle two wheels, as shown on vehicle selection screens all those years ago at press conferences.

And i dont think it can be done on a affordable PC :)

That's where you're wrong, it'd certainly work because the gpu in the ps3 isn't a crazy beast or anything, it's the cell+gpu that works well so i'd imagine it'd work on a decent pc with a good cpu :P (my take on it)

Either way Sony would never allow it since GT is their biggest cash cow :)

What does Kazunori Yamauchi do after GT5?

He'll do what he and Polyphony do every time a GT game comes out.. Start making GT6. ;)

To be honest, I see different ones almost every week where I live. Last week was red with white stripes, the week before a dark blue with white stripes, and so on... I'm surprised at how many I see around here. I don't think I'd want to own one, for the money I'd want something a little flashier looking. Never seen a Ferrari/Lamborghini/Maserati, though. LOTS of Porsches (just as common as Honda Civics)... and Nissan GT-Rs.

And if you look at the city I'm from, it's no Miami or San Diego, any car that costs over $15,000 is considered rare.

Lol, back on topic... KY will clearly begin working on patches and DLC for GT5. No way he's gonna take a break!
Yeah, Buff is a ****hole. Not many exotics around here.

Well, Metal Gear Solid 4 has shipped over 3 million copies worldwide as of June 30th, 2008, so I think GT5 will have no problem.

He sits back and collects some nice royalty checks for making the best video game in history.

Thanks Kaz.👍👍

3 million isnt alot for IMO the best game ever created and such a huge franchise that can be compared to GT in success and brilliance.

He will go to the dentist.

After that DLC for GT5 and then start on GT6. He expressed interest in making a RPG so Sony might let him do that with a small portion of PD but mostly it's just Gran Turismo until he calls it a day.

Release a new version of Tourist Trophy!!!!:sly: bundled with a Logitech handlebar and shifter pedal controller.💡

3 million is a lot for 15 days after the release and more than 10% of console ownership, though.

Sims 3 sold 1.4 million in it's first week worldwide iirc. Somehow.

I doubt he'll stop working, the GT5 process won't stop once it's released, post-release is as important as pre and release itself.
