I've not had one race where the weather has changed half way through a race.. weather maps are useless, all the hype talk about dynamic weather..

Ive had the weather change in a number of Café races and races in World circuits afterwards as well.

Edit to add that the dynamic weather implementation is crap (e.g. it moves too fast when time is compressed).

My thoughts are one of two things is going on...

1. It's something they 'are working on'
2. They don't want to hit us with a complicated race dynamic too early, letting players get to grips with the game first. I remember in GTS they slowly introduced some racing systems a few months after release and it was a bit easier for everyone to swallow.

Obviously, I talking about Sport Mode. Otherwise, I feel like OP is in the tiny percentage of people who haven't got the weather change on them during the single player content!

Do Custom Races, you can choose how often and how long the weather changes and severity of rain.

I'm not sure why people are depending on the Career/Cafe races for interesting dynamics when PD made the majority of them boring "chase the rabbit" rolling starts, and the AI even seems worse in campaign than the Custom Race options. Those campaign race designs are more of an issue with Polyphony's design choices rather than the Dynamic Weather sim/implementation itself, which is pretty good.

Few of the 700 and 800 10 lap races have dynamic weather. At least Suzuka 700 change from dry to wet and dry again. Mt panorama has day to night change.

I forgot what series it was, but I ran a couple back to back and I needed to run the Nurburgring F1 course and the first time it rained for about 30 seconds and moved on. The second time it rained most of the race.

Just did the turbo sports cars cafe to gain the Supras and all those races had dynamic changes in them. 30 laps Tsukuba has rain after a couple laps... So maybe you need to play more of the game or something, 'cause I'm only like half through the game and it comes up often.

For clarity, by dynamic weather, do you mean weather that changes by itself without scripting from PD?

From what I've experienced so far, the majority of the preset races (e.g WT800 around Fuji Speedway) are scripted, Fuji starts with rain and then clears up. Some races have probability factors where there is X chance of rain, but these still seem to be preset (the cloud formation is the random factor, so you may or may not get rain depending on if a cloud forms big enough to pass over the track, making it dynamic).

Because custom races pay garbage.

Everything pays garbage. Unless you're script grinding it's not realistic to think you're going to purchase a bunch of expensive cars through an hour or two of daily play. Do the math, those things just aren't attainable. Just do the races you want and roll raffle tickets when they come and move on. Half-ass grinding isn't going to yield anything but tuning money.

You are lucky. I get rain when I'm on slicks often enought.

Not quite as bad as custom races. While I think everything needs a boost, custom races would need 10x-20x their current pay to be even worth doing (depending on the track).

30k-60k for an hour of racing is an insult.

Yeah maybe I've not progress far enough with the game to come across these weather changes,.yes I've had a few but honestly was hoping to see more. Would love to see this in sports mode, just to spice things up. It's more an observation then a complaint as so far I'm loving this game and taking my time.
