Actually they do. Nissan straight 6 RB26DET, VR35, Toyota straight 6 1JZGTE, 2JZGTE. ok I'm drawing a blank on the others, but I'm sure what ever Honda uses for the NSX, Mitsubishi for the EVOs, Subaru for their WRX STI. But I'm more of a Toyota and Nissan Girl 😊 keep in mind what most Japanese engines say on paper can be a lot more conservative then reality. Because of the "gentleman's agreement " of not making anything above 250hp. Take the 2JZ for example on paper it says 250hp which yes factory it is but the engines can make over 1000hp+ like most Japanese engines.
2JZ is Bulletproof and unkillable, the The Nissan engines are just as good the RB family can easily make 1000+hp, even Japanese 4 cylinders like the SR20DET and 4A-EG can make close to if not a little more then 500hp. Yes I'm a JDM girl theo still trying to learn about American V8s
