What is the mods to the Skyline R34 in...

Sorry, I know this has been said before, but I cant find the old post about what the mods were done the:

R34 Skyline.. in 2Fast 2Furious..

Is the skyline a GTS-T? or an actual GTR?


Anyway I was wondering if anyone new what was under the hood of this car? Like all the specs?

Lol..yeah...it had a claimed 400 some HP.....but was only RWD....It was set up for drifting as they put it...But still ran slower than stock....tsk tsk tsk

ok heres the REAL info..this information is directly from Sean Morris the guy who drives the yellow "big bird" skyline...anyway sean works for motorex and was directly involved in building this car...here is what he says:

"Since I was directly involved with building , dynoing , and testing the R34 in 2Fast2Furious - I can let you know what it actually made....I dont have the actual dyno charts.... but...
At 1.0 bar of boost with the AX53B60 turbos it made 400 hp to the rear wheels on a Dynapac dyno and 92 octane fuel...
Later on 1.3~1.4 bar made 440 hp to the wheels under the same conditions.
Testing with Motor Trend it ran 0-60 in 3.91 seconds and 12.3 in the quarter mile. It was tested with Car and Driver Magazine , and Sport Compact Car Magazine all getting similar numbers.
After that - the car was never dynoed or actually tested again... all the extra other "HKS" parts never went on the car...... The NX nitrous was never used or tuned.....
Was it a 500 hp GT-R ? Sure about that at the motor....if you want to use it - then feel free..... is it anything else.... no...."

But he said that the magazines got relativley the same times...So if they BOTH say it's slow...i'm gonna trust the magazines

Oh and by the way...Car & driver never tested it..It was motor Trend Magazine And Sport Compact Car..And the best 0-60 Motor Trend got was 5.4 Secs..Says it right on the motor trend site

Porko....The car was made for Drifting aswell as stunt purposes...And they just disconnected tha front end of it simple as that..They didn't bother leaving the whole AWD Drivetrain on there and just have it run RWD, because that would be alot of extra crap....

Oh, I read somewhere how you get that to happen or if they even do anything besides making girl's skirts fly up... I don't know if I read it from these forums or another..

umm that "smoke" was the nitrous system.....some people put a purge valve on their cars....The primary purpose of a purge valve is to release trapped air or gaseous nitrous from feed line(s). Helps to ensure consistent performances. Sometimes people spray it out of the hood but in this case it was out of the sides....
