What is the most versatile gr.3

800+ miles on the Hyundai Genesis I can say for sure it is a reliable machine and a little out of leftfield which makes it more fun.

The GT-R and the Alfa 4C I'd also add to the mix as solid options after Max's above.

Jaguar F-Type is easy to drive and quite fast on all the tracks, and you can tune it up to with a compressor ant stay under 800pp

The Ford GT LM Spec II is fast, but a little bit more tricky to drive

Back in GTS the Hyundai Genesis Gr3 was the most versatile over all for me and my favorite Gr3 car there to drive, not the fastest on the straights, but overall really quick on any kind of track...but I havn't tried that one out yet in GT7 yet

Ferrari 458 is my weapon of choice. Very well balanced car (and also very pretty).

But which is the better buy?

Grp3 458 detuned to 700pp (grp 4)

Grp 4 458

The grp 3 is only 100k more... and can be used in grp 4 races.

I want a car for the 700 pp ferrari book event. Not sure which to buy.

I purchased both (big fan haha). The GT3 has a bit more punch but the 4 is definitely a race winner in itself.

I dont know about most of those, but the corvette, although much more fun to drive, lacks a lot of pace compared to RCZ.
Ive been using the RCZ for manufacturers this season. Nice car but it struggles with top end speed. In tokyo i was getting mugged down the straights (wasnt even funny) and Monza wasnt much better. Thats my only issues with the car

I was going to ask this question but just decided to spend my credits on 2 cars.

I don’t really care for the RCZ thing or the Mazda. Might be the best cars from what I’ve seen but I won’t be buying them. I pick my cars on what I want to drive. I play the game to have fun, with good battles, plus I like the challenge been in a non dominant car.

So far I’ve only bought the Aston Martin and I love it. Im not a professional sim racer (I do play a lot of racing games and GT7 is the first GT game since GT5, but I’ve only been doing “proper” sim racing with a wheel for 6months), but I think the Aston is great. I know it has some weakness as I’ve picked up on a few things during racing but I like the car. Just recently in season 2 of the cups I’ve had some great results from it. I’ve also had the McLaren during season 1 and again I loved that car. Felt great to drive and did a job. Again got me some good results.
So today i decided to spend some credits and want to get a new Gr3 car. Was a toss up between the Mercedes AMG, M6e (endurance), and the GT-R. In the end I went for AMG & M6e. AMG feels fast, and was fastest in my time trial, followed by the Aston. The M6e……. I don’t like it. Gear ratio feels really short, and they seems to be no lower end power. Out of a corner it feels slow. In time trial the M6e was 2 seconds slower than both the Aston & AMG on the same tyres. Wish I had gone for the GT-R.

Gr2 are what I’m looking at next, GTR500 looks like my next car. Used it in one of the missions and it felt quick.

The Beetle Gr.3 and the Corvette Gr.3 are my go to options. The Beetle is very agressive at high RPMs, you have to be very careful with the throtlle exiting the corners, but once you get used to the car and readapt to the 7 gears gearbox, it's a blast to drive! And it doesn't do bad on fuel consumption. The Corvette is a very balanced car, easy at the corners and powerful enough at the straights, it does the job very well, nothing much to say about it.

Jag all day long.

Most of the gr3 cars are very twitchy and tend to oversteer
However , the ones I really like driving are

Amg gt3’16
Z4
Rcz

Surprised no ones said the mustang, if you can get past the front end (weirdly) feeling very light (like it's mid engined) it drives very well, Jack of all trades but master of none. This is the real left field choice, as I've only ever seen 1 or 2 other people driving one, and I've probably done about 40 gr3 daily races so far.

The Porsche is great. Out of the Gr3 cars I've tried, the Porsche, McLaren, Renault, and Peugeot are the most stable. There are still a lot of cars left for me to buy though.

So far the Porsche is mikes in front but I drive with very ham fisted controls so value stability over everything else. It hasn't got good legs on long straights, 7th gear is super long but through corners its a beast and tc1 not too intrusive.
