Seems like something that could be used to unite the country.
Eve of Destruction was a song that united the nation against the Vietnam war and inspired passage of the 26th Amendment to the Constitution.
Yet the song itself was not that great - it was sung by a nobody, the simple 4 bar backing track was recorded in one take and the vocal dubbed in , and the whole thing illegally released in a matter of hours after recording. And it was banned in many locations.

I absolutely HATE these songs. Would eliminate these songs from existence if it was possible. Would take Justin Bieber over these two any day and all i listen to is Metal. Heard these songs because my mam has the radio on while she works at home, and these play every hour on the radio.

The only redeeming quality it has is Leo made an awesome cover of it.

Literally everything from Dula peep. "New Rules" was just the first one, but literally every song that she has made (or has been involved with) are among the worst of the worst, and tops every other song listed here (with "New Rules" as the absolute worst of the worst). She is both the creepiest and most annoying singer in the history of mankind.

Dula peep

Dua Lipa. Her name is Dua Lipa. Dua Lipa.

"New Rules" was just the first one

Ok? How? The consensus among most is that its an incredibly inoffensive pop song? Even the message itself in the lyrics is heavy with female empowerment and getting over a former boyfriend. Do you not like women feeling empowered?

Ok? How? Music is mostly subjective, but her most recent album is one of the highest scored of all albums released this year, how would that correlate with her being the "worst of the worst"? I'll wait. You must've listen to about 7 songs in your life if you genuinely believe that she makes the absolute worst music the world has seen

She is both the creepiest

Ignoring the fact that she's barely been involved in controversy, there are artists out there that have literally killed or abused people. How could she possibly be the 'creepiest' artist in history?

most annoying singer

Again, music is subjective. But I don't see how inoffensive, empowering pop music could be seen as 'annoying'

The musicianship, singing and production is all good, but the lyrics and title by legendary singer-songwriter Carole King qualify this for worst song ever. At the time it was written (1962 when feminine liberation was years in the future), domestic abuse was considered by some women as a sign that she was loved and cared for.

Amazing. Never before has a statement more incorrect than this one been made. Quite the accomplishment.
Well, if you liked that one you'll love this one.
R.E.M. is the most over-rated band in the history of music, if i even here 5 seconds of them , it's 5 seconds too much.:yuck:

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but this seems to me like an it's-not-my-kind-of-music sort of thing.

Sure, there were times in college when I grew tired of "Losing My Religion"--it was college, so I heard it a lot--but I can't imagine anyone having a problem with its musicality, and that mandolin is really kind of special.

"Overrated" is a peculiar notion as well--but then so is "underappreciated" and the like--as it again seems rooted in your tastes i music being dissimilar to that of others.

There's plenty of music that others love but I can't begin to be interested in, but it still manages to not be the worst ever.

That's a weird way of spelling Journey.
You just shut your damned fool mouth!

I kid.

:)

Yes, it's just my opinion, that's all.
I just found your original opinion about my choice a tad harsh,so i fired back.;)
They were definitely so over played and at that time i had to listen to a radio 8 hours a day and it was like no, not REM again, for the love of God stop playing them.
I guess they just rub me the wrong way .
Long live The Stones!

As much as I like Big Smo as an artist, I really do not enjoy listening to this song. The repetitive chorus, unnecessary use of autotune, and pretty much everything else about it just sounds bad, tries way too hard to be interesting, and it only seems to get worse the longer the song goes on. Part of me wants to like it, but every time I have tried listening to it, I felt like I was losing brain cells (and I'm not one to say this), it gets stuck in my head way too long and annoys me to the point I always end up regretting it in the end. It really strikes me as one of those songs that sounds like a good idea in my mind, but then when you actually hear it, it ain't nearly as good as I expected.

Not the worst song I ever heard in general, but it's the worst I have heard from him. And it's a shame really because I think Big Smo is a pretty talented artist and has some good stuff, but this one is awful and just seems a bit out of character for him.

Toby Keith's new song is pretty much every bad right pandering trope in the book. It is awful. I am sure it will do really well with the Fox crowd.

This abomination has been polluting the Radio 1 playlist for the last couple of weeks.
I'm sorry Liverpool, but your accent really does not suit this genre at all. The guttural consonant sounds mashed up with random Footballers in the lyrics is an embarrassment to to word "music".

Oh god, give me strength and courage from this monstrosity...
