So I have two right now the toyota kyle busch and the chevy earnhardt cars and with fresh oil changes the toyota has 864hp and the chevy has 892hp and the toyota is a lot slower than the chevy. What car out of all of them has the highest hp?

They're all the same, however they are prone to the same "Breaking in Period" as other cars in the game, you've probably driven the Chevy longer which gives it that extra horsepower.

Neither should. My guess is you've raced one more then the other. The break in factor. The major NASCAR teams all produce the same HP, probably with only a difference of 1 or 2 HP. That's the magic of NASCAR make all the cars exactly the same and may the best DRIVER win, not the best car win

I only own 2 Nascar and after 1st oil change, there's a difference in hp. The #48 have 894hp and the #18 only have 870hp. No idea why.

no its may the best driving tune/setup win.... thats what its about the team not just the driver.

what car should have the more hp, the newer car or the one with a little bit more miles on it?

You need to drive them about 200 miles or so then change the oil again to reach peak power.

btw Online racing does not seem to count. Don;t know abour practice mode.

After you drive a car for a certain amount of miles (Around 150), the engine power is increased, this is simulating the "breaking in" period you'd have on a real car. So, the car with more HP is the one with over 150 miles on it.
Drive the car with the least power for a while and soon it'll be at the same power level as the one with more miles on it.

Yea I noticed that about online thats why I want to get the most out of the car or the most hp and just use it on online so the hp never decreases

For reference my Toyota has 892 and has just under 400 miles on it.

I would think that all 3 models will go to 892 when they approach 200 miles and have fresh oil and should stay there until they get a few thousand on them before they start to slowly decline.

Hmm, that explains it. Thanks for the info.

I remember watching something earlier this year called Jimmie Johnson 24/7, it was about the lead up to daytona I think. Before one of the races they found that there was something wrong with the engine so they had to change it and i remember them saying that because it hasn't been broken in, his engine would be about 8-10 horsepower down on the engine he had before.

Yea this is also true. I think J. Johnson wouldn't be as good without chad kanus. But its also the fact that they work so well together. Just look at Gordon after he lost ray everham and his famous rainbow warriors
