What new gr3 and gr4 cars should they add

In Gr.3 I'd love to see the 2016 or 2017 GT-R as the 2013 looks/feels so dated by comparison.

I agree with others that the FWD cars need to go from Gr.4. They could easily introduce a Touring class (Gr.T or even TC.1 etc) and adopt TC-R regulations (the TT Cup is 99% there anyway), they could add the Golf GTI, Civic Type R, Focus ST and A-Class (though perhaps based off a lower model so it's FWD).

Only issue that leaves is the absence of certain manufacturers from Gr.4 which doesn't work with the two class system they're aiming for (also why Gr.1 is not able to be included as not all brands are present). Gaps could be filled a detuned Gr.4 RS.01 in place of the Megane and an R8 instead of the TT for example, but VW would be hard without fictional models, though a 4WD model could work (Golf R perhaps??)

But agree with the guys that say the FWD cars must go away from gr. 4.
For some time I've been defending her that there should be a "gr. T" for Touring Cars for the "TCR like" cars, like the Megane, the Scirocco, the TT, the RCZ and so on.

I know, but seeing as gr4 is a fictional gtsport category it seemed unnecessary to place FIA GT4 rules upon it. If the perfperform can be balanced it should be allowed to play.

True, although i would think there needs to be a little alignment with the gt4 spec. e.g. being a production car.

Im really surprised they didn't add a gr4 version of the civic similar to the BTCC version and you could add that to the FWD list.

For Gr.4:

911 GT3 Cup
488 Challenge
Camaro
Ford GT (05)
Mclaren 570s
Alfa Romeo Giulia QV
Mercedes C63 Coupe
Audi RS5
R34

For Gr.3:

F40
Ford GT(05 and 17)
Camaro
488
Mclaren F1
F50
Chiron
Lexus LFA
BMW i8
Diablo
ATS-V
CTS-V
XJ220

More importantly, I'd love for them to add a Gr.2 and model it after the GT1 cars of the 90s/early 00s. Limit them to 650-700hp base. But also include modern hyper cars so that we could finally have an chance to do some cool races with them

Gr.2:

LaFerrari
Mclaren P1
918 Spyder
911 GT1
Mclaren F1 GTLM
Ferrari F50
Maserati MC12
Saleen S7
Veyron
Chiron
Aventador
XJ-220

Then add in some other tracks like Mugello, Spa, LeMans, Fuji, Tsukuba, Zolder, Paul Riccard, San Marino, Laguna Seca, etc.
But also add in a gigantic high speed ring were we can do top speed runs.

I think that the Gr.4 and Gr.3 cars will be either actual GT4 and GT3 racers, or modern road cars that are modified to resemble them by PD, like the Lancer Evolution X. I don't even think GTE cars are considered part of Gr.3, although if they were, the BMW M3 (E92) GTE would go there, as would the M8 that is replacing it. So with all this in mind, I could see the Ferrari 488 GT3 being added, as well as something like a Maserati GranTurismo GT4.

Yet Gr.3 includes the GTE 911 RSR rather than the real world GT3 911 GT3R!?

What I think should be incoming is a Bugatti Gr.3, because it never made sense to only make a Gr.4, especially out of a car like the Veyron.

For other brands that are currently not in GTS or not available with a Gr.3/4, I could imagine the following... ((r)eal or (i)maginary as indicated)

Lotus Evora GT4 / Exige V6 Gr.3 (r/i)
Alpine A110 (i/i)
Opel Astra TCR / Insignia Gr.3 (r/i)
Maserati GranTurismo GT4/GT3 (r/r)
Bentley Continental (i/r)
Cadillac ATS-V (i/r)
Volvo S60? (i/i)
Infiniti Q30/Q60? (i/i)

I don’t really think basing new additions in these classes on older cars makes a lot of sense. I also haven’t mentioned that all real GT3 or GT4 cars would be good additions, but I regard this as a given anyway.

For KTM, there could be the X-Bow GT4 for a Gr.4 car, and the X-Bow GTX for a Gr.3 machine.

I'm also not too sure how the late-90s "loophole era" of GT1 cars will fit in, but I think they'll be in Gr.2, like the Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR. Otherwise, though, the GT1 cars from the mid 90s and late 2000s will likely go into Gr.3, as we've seen with the '95 McLaren F1 GTR and '10 Aston Martin DBR9.

In addition to KTM, I could see Maserati being added to the manufacturer series, as well, with the GranTurismo GT4 being the clear Gr.4 car, and either the GranTurismo GT3 or the MC12 GT1 as far as a Gr.3 car goes - maybe even both.

I'd also love to see some newer GT4 cars, like the Abarth 124 or the Alpine A110, though I'm unsure if these automakers have a potential Gr.3 car they could use.

Ideally, I think new racecars should be added with the priority of having automakers be represented in various classes, with the secondary priority being to have additional options for that class. So for example, you can sort of see that second goal with the addition of the Aston Martin DBR9 and McLaren F1 GTR, or the BMW M3 E92 GT2. But I'd really like to see as many automakers in as many groups as possible; perhaps eventually, the Manufacturer Series could have more than just Gr.4 and Gr.3 races, such as Gr.1, and/or more automakers included. Using the aforementioned Aston Martin and BMW as examples, they could have Gr.1 representation with the Aston Martin AMR-One and BMW V12 LMR, respectively.

I just feel anything not a Japanese manufacturer Super GT500, will go inn GR.3. I could see those GT-1 cars like the Porsche and CLK be put in GR.1(look at the Audi VGT, it's a daggone sedan racing prototypes). That ol PDLogic™.

Some brands having multiple GR.3/GR.4 cars, Alfa could do the GR.4 Guilia, similar to the Lexus IS-F CCCSSSCCC thing we had in GT5(?).

Mazda RX-Vision GR.4

Ginetta & Lotus.

Bring back those touring cars/RM from 5/6 and make them Gr.4/Gr.3.

Would absolutely love to see the Toyota Eagle MK III be added. I remember watching that famed 1992 breakout season in awe as a kid. Loved the battles with the purple Jaguar throughout the year and was instantly hooked on GTP racing.

I don't think it'll happen. I think they'll be put in the N-Series, more akin to a tuner car. We've already seen this with the Mazda Roadster Touring Car. I think if any racecar from a previous installment is added to Gr.3 or Gr.4, it'd need to have very similar power/weight to the cars in the class, even if no changes are made to the power/weight. So while some of the RM/touring cars look similar to Gr.4/Gr.3 cars, they'd also need to have similar figures. That said, I'd love to see the made-for-game Gr.3/Gr.4 cars being part of a revived RM system, where you could take something like the Alfa Romeo 4C and make it into the Gr.4 car, or the 4C Gr.3 Road Car for the Gr.3 racecar.

The exceptions to this are the C6 Z06/ZR1 RM (although the ZR1 is way too overpowered) and the GT-R Touring Cars, since all of them are based on real cars, although these requires the 4WD drivetrain system be removed (except if R34 is going to be placed to Gr.4 since it's a Super Taikyu style car, which also necessitates power detuning).

The NSX RM can also be placed on that exception list too, since it was meant to emulate the NSX-R LM GT2.

It really irks me that Bugatti and Alpine are the only ones NOT selectable for the Manufacturers Cup, considering that Alpine only has a Gr.1 car and Bugatti had a Gr.1 and Gr.4, but no Gr.3 car. And if you think about it, no way in their right mind would the Bugatti Vision GT be a Gr.3 car, considering how massive and bulky it is, and the fact that it’s AWD and powered by a W16 engine, which would be damn near impossible to convert.

So here are my candidates.

Alpine A110 GT4 2018

Alpine A110-50 2013 (yes, it might’ve been badged as a Renault)

Bugatti EB110 SS 1994

I could see the Alpine A110-50 being a good Gr.3 car, considering how similar it seems to the Renault R.S.01. But I also suppose that the actual stats of the car would need to be close enough to the other cars. Going by the car's Wikipedia page, the A110-50 would have the lowest horsepower of the Gr.3 cars if it were added to that group. But then again, I think it'd also be the lightest Gr.3 car. So it'd depend on what PD thinks, especially after testing it in time trials.

My lists are inspired by Shift 2: Unleashed (given that GT Sport is a modern incarnation of Shift 2: Unleashed in some way). Another is so that Bugatti can compete in the Manufacturers' Series, and also Maserati.
