Hate when that happens.
But, how are you sure that it was
stolen? Maybe it was misplaced? Appropriated by accident? Stealing someone's pencil case is pretty shabby - not that
any kind of stealing has honour attached to it. Well, okay, if one was to steal something back (that was stolen in the first place) or to recover something that was in a bad place to begin with . . . but this is just a pencil case we're talking about, not the Pink Panther.
The thing is - a pencil case, and it's contents are so personal. Like a pair of spectacles. Or underwear.
Sure, you might have a Colibri in there, or a Waterman, but still . . .
Plus, a pencil case can be spotted - so the person who stole it can't very well use it in the same environment that it was stolen from.
Hmm.
I'm stumped, Watson.
Well . . . we can only hope for the best, and hope it appears again - and if it does, I'm sure you will be very, very happy.
