It's genuine has all the numbers on it.
Compare with this to be on the safe side.

I bit the bullet and purchased a Samsung Galaxy S10+.
Pros: I got it for $300 off regular price and unlocked.
Cons: I purchased it backordered and it won't arrive til September 5th.

I've recently purchased the Galaxy S10e. I have got to say, best phone purchase since I got my first smart phone, the Palm trio. I had the S8+ and did not appreciate the curved screen at all. I had broken 3 phones in all over the course of a year, all screen related, all would have been non issues with a normal screen.
I am very pleased they decided to bring back a flat screen. Its nice to have a case that properly protects the screen and doesnt have a lip at just the top and bottom.
I opted for the blue phone, and got a case with a textured clear backing so the color can be seen. The phone itself has worked very well. The screen looks good. Atmos works better than I would have expected with youtube videos. Even without headphones on it works pretty amazingly. I dont game much, but the few games I games I have worked without issue and the display looks nice and crisp. It's just the right size, not too small for videos and reading, but not too bulky in the pocket.
Overall, months later, I am still pleased with this purchase. That's a rare hair indeed.

I'm just going to buy a new mobile I don't want another Samsung because they can't seem to choose between the Galaxy store and the App store.

I've had my original Pixel XL for years and have had no issues using it without a case. My wife wanted to use it and within 10 seconds of her having it, she dropped it which cracked the screen... I was originally going to wait and upgrade to the Pixel 4 XL whenever it releases but I went ahead and bought a Pixel 3a XL and I've gotta say, it is quite a nice upgrade from my original Pixel XL.

@Parker I had thought about the Pixel 4 but while some nice upgrades from the 3 there was a few things I didn't like about it (So far) and one of them is removing the buttons to do gestures. (So far it's on Android Q but still) I like my buttons. Secondly the in-screen finger print reader. I like the back one better. Then the battery, 2800 mAh for the small one (Compared to the 2900 or so now)

Plus side is better ram, and chip.

Now going on to thoughts on this.

I read that Microsoft has partnered up with Samsung to bring windows to phones. (Makes me think on those Lumia days) and you wonder, Will the S11/+ be the new Windows phone?
As the article stated that they are doing some integration wit the Note 10 because I guess there is a need to see text messages and other messages on the PC. :/

Thoughts on that?

Just got the 6T. Holy moly is it fast. Still getting used to the size but some pleasant stuff so far.

Update: while I initially regretted not waiting on the 7 Pro -- I have to say, this phone has been fantastic so far. The minor issues I had seem to be mostly addressed by software updates.

Got the carbon cover and it's amazing. The phone is a fingerprint magnet though so I'm thinking about getting a skin and a better screen protector.

Just a heads up.
If you have had bought a First gen Pixel before January 4th of 2017 you may be able to receive 500$ or up to 20$ if no issues were found.

Was planning to buy a Note10+ (I really like the look and feel of the phone)
But since Europe gets the exynos version I'm torn between the note and oneplus 7 pro. Anyone on the same boat ?

Want to go back to app/game programming and better GPU would be cool.

My phone is nothing special. I believe its a LG K30 or whatever the official name is. Its not bad but not great either. I do like the fact that it has 32GB of internal storage (of which only 20-something is usable). That doesn't matter too much. I got a 128GB SD card in it for my music and whatever movies I could fit on it (I do have a large music collection :D). It unfortunately is running Android Oreo (8.1). I seriously doubt it'll ever see Pie (9).

So today is Android 10 day.

As the official android site was updated to welcome.

So far the update hasn't hit my pixel device yet but hoping for it soon.

Galaxy fold set to release Friday.
All it's $1,980 of fold
Screen is still way to fragile where even the slightest press or item can ruin the screen.
In which if that happens Samsung will replace that screen for $149 and said "just once" they will.
So that makes a $2k phone that can be used for maybe 2 weeks then you'll need to buy a new one since the screen is broken.

Thoughts?

Currently I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, it's been a good phone so far. I like the larger phones with big screens.

As interesting as the techin the Galaxy Fold was to me, I couldn't justify upping my contract as much as I would need to in order to get one. Absolutely ludicrous prices, the cheapest contract here is £109 per month with £300 up front on a 24 month contract.

That would be £2,916 paid after 24 months, for a phone. I'll wait for the foldable screen tech to come down in price and increase in quality before I'm interested.

Save your money.
One review copy of the "new" fold has a broken screen. 27 hours into it.
Weirdest thing is that it could be from pushing the screen a bit hard to there was something that got in between the screen in the folded up in a normal pocket.
Samsung now has that device to figure out what happened to it.

Edit:
Pixel 4/XL has been announced.
Same 64/128 GB
6 GB ram
90hz refresh rate.
855 Chip
Motion sense
few other things.
No headphone jack

I will be doing a trade in for mine.

It's almost the end of 2019, and I'm still using my trusty and reliable iPhone 6s as my main phone. My second phone is the Sony XPERIA XZ. Planning an upgrade to the Samsung Note 10 or S10+ but not in the near future.

Is XZ a good phone? I'm trying to consider one as an upgrade to my old Xperia L but the local Sony Mobile stores seems to have shut down here already. :indiff:

Recently flashed my rooted OnePlus 6 to Android 10. I absolutely love the dark mode. But a few of my old Magisk modules no longer work with the new version of Android which kinda sucks

^A typical expensive phone. Meh.
Camera brought me to it. I tested it with my sister's phone and was quite amazed. My friend also has an S10 but between the two it didn't pull me in enough to stay with an Android phone anymore. It'll be my second Apple device after getting the iPad 2 when that first came out so I'm interested to see the changes.

Considering you're upgrading from the XPERIA L, the XZ is a massive improvement. The XZ overall is an okay phone, nothing too special or anything that's outstanding. I would recommend you to either go for the XZ Premium or XZ1 onwards. They're getting ridiculously cheap nowadays.

Regarding the Sony Mobile stores, it's the same situation here in Malaysia. They now only sell them at their main Sony Stores but only bring in the XPERIA 1 and 5 at the moment. The demand and popularity of XPERIA phones have gone down tremendously over the past 5 years and I honestly don't see them getting better either in the future.

Ah I see. An actual camera would still do better though if that was your only basis. But nevertheless, I guess it's gonna be good for you.👍

Actually, I would have wanted the XZ1 since it was my original choice as an upgrade to my old phone but then again, it's sad that it isn't available as a new one anymore.

I can only see them being sold through used sellers or stores, which I wouldn't just consider because probably they might be problematic.

Oh well, I guess I'm just going to move on from this brand. :indiff:

Bringing my DSLR and other lenses with me every day just isn't possible and it finally looks good enough to invest in and make the switch. As a company I still don't like them, or the actual fanbase... But as a phone it's pretty good I suppose.

Well, it's definitely better than nothing. Hopefully, you'll enjoy your purchase. I'm also wanting a similar phone to that in the future someday but for me, it really takes blood, sweat and patience to make hard-earned money.
