Just what it says on the tin, what race meeting are you looking forward to in '05?

I would have thought that obvious, take the word meeting out of the question and you may be able to understand it better i.e what race are you looking forward to in '05.

China, Spa or Brazil. They were awesome last season. Is it just me or the season just got interesting near the end (last 3-4 races)?

Yeah, the season did get interesting near the end, but I think Ferrari stopping its development program had alot to do with that. Though the MP4-19B was great on its good days.

Japan, that's an interesting choice, I didn't think that was a great race personally (though I absolutely LOVE the track). Why?

Sorry I meant Brazil  It's getting late here I really should go to bed...

Japan was one of the worst races of the season! What was i thinking?!

:D

LMAO . You REALLY need to go to sleep!

I was thinking the other night (Wow, I know) and I realised that both of Webbers staller qualifying performances were at Asian tracks (Malaysia and Japan), why did he do well there? Does he have experience at those tracks from other series? Is he used to the climate of areas like that? Did that engine perform really well in conditions like those?

Monaco, Hockenheim and Spa. They were the best races of this season (although Brazil and China were good too) and I'm hoping for more of the same next year.

I can't wait for the Aust GP, we get three days of TV coverage, it's a great circuit and we'll finally see what everyone can do.

Well if you just asked " What race are you looking forward to in 05?" it would have been obvious. Throwing in the term "meeting" confussed the issue.

That being said I am looking forward to Monaco (always love this one), Imola, Monza, Spa...and Indy and Suzuka because I'll probably be going to both.

Canadian Grand Prix, because I'm going to be there in person! :)

Replace Canadian with Australian and you've got my answer. Bring on Melbourne in March.

Anyone who can't decipher 'meeting' needs to seriously think about calling one of those 24 hour "Learn to read and write" hotlines.

Race meeting is the term you'll likely find used throughout most FIA documentation. It's a meeting where you race - where's the challenge?

Turkey, if it's in - new tracks are always interesting, but the teams already know exactly how to set up the cars for the races ...

Just never heard the term before, nor did it make sense to me at first.

I got an idea. How about we drop it?

I didn't think I was being confusing...

Monaco is always a good race, even though there isn't much passing I can't remember the last time I found a Monaco race boring. Spa -- an excellent circuit, but probably not going to be as good with cars going slower. Bahrain was also a great circuit, I can't really remember that race to well though.

Well not exactly a "race meeting" but the thought of :

1.Kimi n Juan Pablo Vs Micheal n Rubens.

Now that is a must see. And if they had let Jensen have his way. That would have been a dream come true.

sigh..... And last but not least.!!

David Coulthard at Red Bull :( ....... i dont know wat to say. If you cant tell im a McLaren man. Always have been always will be..... on a lighter note. Someone said that exact quote, can u guess who?

Now for the race meeting. thats easy

1.Spa
2.Silverstone
3.Monaco
4.Australian. aussie pride 👍

I'm looking forward to the Australian GP.Something always happens that you didn't expect. You don't know how well some of the new cars perform so that's always exiting to watch.Others include,Spa,Bahrain and Istanbul(Turkey).

Australia always has a certain frisson to it, because it's the start of the season, when all the BS stops. And it's a real effort to watch it live (it's on really early here). Monaco is often really exciting, even though it flatters to deceive, because it's so hard to pass. And Bahrain and Hockenheim produced interesting races in '04, in spite of their Tilke origins.

Most of all though, I hope that Ferrari are pushed. Watching the live timings last year was depressing. I knew right from the first round that Ferrari would be virtually unbeatable, simply by watching the race lap times.

I love Australia, maybe I'm a bit biased. But I love it because it's the best cverage we get of any GP, we get to see qualifying live, a few of the practice sessions and all the action ALL day on Saturday and Sunday, it may not sound HUGE but it does make a difference to me, I enjoy it alot more.

I also hope Ferrari get pushed, I do want to see Michael keep racking up the championships, I think he deserves it, but I hope he does have to push and prove he deserves it (it seems like it's just being ahnded to him lately), he does have to try, not like most of this year where he was going 2-3 seconds of the pace for the last 10 laps.

I find it funny that most people like races that encourage overtaking, yet most people also like Monaco, where Juan is one of the only people who can pass on track there . It's always a good race though :D.

AUSTRALIA, my plans of getting there for this years race are getting stronger everyday, probably buying tickets, accom and airplane tix next week!!! just gotta see who else is goin, and i gotta get paid first

dont you want your aussie boy to be winning the championship now? im a schuie fan, but if it came between him and webber, i know id be goin for the aussie. i think seven world titles is enough

Of course I want Mark to be winning, just a matter of Williams giving him the car to do the job, but I think he and Williams are capable of doing very well together.

I'm definately looking forward to Monaco and Indianapolis.

This year I'd like to see some more ontrack passing as well as an actual challenge against Ferrari and Schumacher. It's awefully bleeding boring to watch the same person lead and win race after race. What's the point if you already practically know the outcome?

As for Indianapolis, I hope to go to my fourth grand prix as I have gone every year since 2002.

Monaco is always good :D. How does everyone think races are going to be run this year?

I think first corner incidents are going to be more frequent this year. I'm not sure whether that's good or not :indiff:.

I also think 2 pit stops will be the way most people go this season. A short first stint, due to qualifying, then 2 medium stints. I would suggest one stop if it wasn't necessary to be use qualifying fuel for the race, but I don't think it's possible to run light enough to do well in qualifying yet be heavy enough to make it to a 1 stop window.
