OK, stop me if there's already one of these, but what would you guys like for the theme tune of GT5? I've got an idea. When they're doing the clips when the car isn't moving they should use Barber's "Adagio for Strings", but when the clips of moving cars come on, they could cut to Tiesto's remix! đź’ˇ

This isn't exactly a good thread, 'cause many will probably say the classical GT tune should be used, "Moon Over the Castle". Personally, if I had to choose, I would like to hear Rata Blanca's "El Reino Olvidado", and synchronize the opening of the game accordingly with the song.

Heh, I synchronized it with Tourist Trophy and the result was fairly cool, even though the song isn't related with motorcycles at all, nor with cars. :D

Alternatively, I disappear from Metallica. Then it could show the new Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1.

EDIT:

Picture this: the game already released and everyone going "Hallelujah, hallelujah!" with the song coming from the stores. That would make me ROFL bad, very bad.

It's such an epic song, I can't see why it shouldn't be GT5's tune.

EDIT: Damn... I just imagined an intro where the first 2:38 minutes of the song show the most important things Kazunori and PD had to go through to develop the game, and from 2:38 we have the usual intro of the game. :embarrassed:

Moon over the Castle ,over and again !
I don't care what they use. Unless they use some classical piece that rocks out (in a non-metal way), it's probably going to be... meh. I'd like them to include every intro and every soundtrack from all versions of GT5. But whatever they do, I want to be able to play the Japanese intro and a wonderful version of Moon Over The Castle.

motorhead - ace of spades.

to the scene of a 2cv hammering down lemans straight.

hell if you cant please everyone at least make it surreal.

"Moon Over Castle" should be the opening music for EVERY GT game...period. The Weezer song in GT5P is just LAME!!!

Hahaha, yeah. And then a harmless understeer into the gravel trap at the end would actually make my year if that was the intro movie.

Something really epic, like the intro to gt4 with the opera singer.

AND no Panama this time.

i agree with you there, the intro to GT4 was sick but Van Halen's Panama is a classic song and performed live is epic itself!

If history is anything to go by, the NTSC version will not have Moon Over the Castle. :(

What should it have? Here are my suggestions:

This was very popular back in the day (too popular, many would argue), but it's a great fit for the classic GT intro formula.

George was a serious racing fan, and I'm thinking he would have been flattered to have this tune as the GT5 opening. Some might argue this isn't loud or modern enough, though.

Of course, this song would be nice because it would bring the series (nearly) full circle, and it fits the GT intro song template pretty well, IMHO.

SebastiAn - Shoot (don't bother looking for it... i had to buy the LP. Basically "Dolami" (the one used in some GT5P ads, with the blips at the beginning) with added awesomeness)
mixed with some Barber's Violin Concerto, 1st movement.

In my opinion, it should be the best driving song ever made in this or any other planet:

"Highway Star" By: Deep Purple.

Its about three of the most important things in life, your car, your head, your girl đź‘Ť. Its an absolutely sublime song. You should look for the lyrics, they are just amazing! :sly:. Music from the driving gods!:bowdown::bowdown:

Moon Over The Castle never gets old. It gets me pumped up personally. I have used it on several phones as ring tones and even put it as the opening track on mix CDs.
