All music lovers know that feeling when you get to a point in a song and your body just starts to climax just like you do under the sheets. While the feeling is different, you get that sense of bliss that no other feeling could top it. Its what separates great songs and epic works of art. I was sitting here listening to the intro of "The Regulator" by Clutch and it made me think... How many songs really make me feel this good so consistently.

Percentage wise... few songs really do this to me. But these songs are ones that make orgasms feel tame to me.

Like I said above, that blues inspired intro that Clutch has perfected over the years is just so much better then anything they have done. Neil's voice is so soothing and forces you to just fall into a rhythmic heaven. I don't know if that makes sense but to me it does.

This song probably does it best for me and is the first song to have ever given me this feeling that I missed in my first 12 years of my life. This song completely changed my way of listening to music and got me craving for more. At five minutes the song slows down and transitions into my favorite solo of all time. At six minutes is where it climaxes into a world of progressive perfection that no other band (IMO) could ever accomplish. This song in every musical way is perfect. Oh, and I've never heard better singing from Jame than in the studio version of this song.

10,000 days came out when I was 15 and I bought it when a friend of mine and I took a bus into SF for a day for some fun. I ended up buying this album and when we got back to my house and listened to the first couple tracks and were falling in love with it. Later that day when I listened through the whole album I got to the 10th song and found this work of art. I got feelings that I haven't felt since listening to As I Am and instantly make this album my favorite Tool album. Not only is the song 9 minutes of Tool ear candy but the whole time its just building up tension where it doesn't get released until the 5:25 mark where the band goes into a jam that doesn't end until the end of the song where it calms down and lets you catch your breath because you were holding it for three and a half. This song is great demonstration why Danny is such a phenomenal drummer. If I were to die listening to a song.. this would be it.

Most of you will hate this song, mainly because it is Death Metal. When most people think of Death Metal they think mindless bashing and playing brutally fast. And if I tell them they are a French Death Metal band they most likely will giggle. Its an acquired taste and if you have that taste you cane hear that empowered rhythm that everyone else doesn't. This song pretty much sums it all up for me and its the song I use towards the end of my workouts so I can go that extra mile. I don't get the same feeling, mainly because its completely different from most other things, which is why I think it deserves a mention. There is no specific point in the song where it climaxes its just a complete onslaught of endorphins that run through your body and you just get a brief break in the middle of the song. Truly amazing.

This song doesn't get old. Two awesome guitarist in Demmel and Flynn switching off between electric and acoustic guitars with a chilling solo starting a four minutes. Beautiful song that I can listen to over and over again for a good period of time... And I've done just that, many times over. When listening to this song, you forget you are listening to music because it sucks you in so magically. I love it... This song will surely break your girlfriends purity ring.

I'll go in a slightly different direction: the Far East. Japan, specifically. 坂本真綾 (Mayaa Sakamoto) singing マメシバ (Mameshiba) is one of my all time favorite songs. Mayaa is an amazing singer, and the songwriter, Yoko Kanno, is one of the best in the business. Right at the 4:20 mark, the song changes key and really starts to soar, and that's when my hair starts to stand on end. Her singing, the arrangement, and the insistent bass-line all add up to one of the best pop songs ever recorded.

Celldweller - Eon Every song Klayton releases is better than the previous one. This one is the latest and greatest. The chorus really gets to me, but it is the bridge at 3:32 that roxxers my boxxers. It's instant head-bang no matter what I am doing at the time I am listening to it.

Circle of Dust - Chasm Before he was Celldweller he was Circle of Dust and I was right there with him. Monster angst chorus and the bridge eats me up. I have the words 'you are fragile' tattooed on my body.

Paramore - That's What You Get This one surprises even myself. For some reason the chorus hasn't left my head since I first heard it and I've found myself hitting 'replay' on youtube once the video finishes. I think the lyrics are simple yet tap into things we all feel, and myself especially at this period of time.

Onmyouza - Izayoi no Ame Well paced song, with the chorus being about walking alone in the pounding rain (which is something I like to do.)

Tommy Heavenly6 - LCCD Just a catchy song that I can't get out of my head. Descent enough guitars that I rock out and enjoy singing like a girl. Chorus is awesome! And I'm in love with her, btw.

Symphony X - Inferno - Stand with me, brothers of metal. Together we will unleash the fire.

Ikimono Gakari - Good Morning Another catchy song sung by a cutie. I can't help but sing along to the chorus. This is the only video I could find, sadly, as live music doesn't match the intensity usually.

H.I.M. - Resurrection The chorus is great but it is near the end when they take it up a key that it works so well. (at 2:44) I would like to add that any song by H.I.M. has the same effect on me.

Come to think of it, going up a key is the greatest musical tool in existence!

Nightwish - Amaranth Great chorus. Key-up at 3:10

Bridges!
Nightwish - Escapist bridges eat me up and spit me out exhausted.

I'll be able to post more when I figure out where I put my ipod.

Pink Floyd-Shine On You Crazy Diamond

The studio version is over twice as long, but Pink Floyd is just amazing live. This song doesn't just give you the climax, it gives you the foreplay and all the other fun stuff.

Marvin Gaye- What's Going On

How can you have talk of orgasmic songs without including Marvin Gaye?

A Perfect Circle- Blue

This song is easily my favorite APC song, it also has one of the creepiest videos from them as well(it was a fan made video, but fits very well).

Awesome! Some very awesome mentions here. I really dig some of those Japanese bands musically but I have a hard time listening to singing when I don't understand it. Only a few languages that don't bother me in that regard. I love the Celldweller mention.. or you can say mentions. I haven't heard that song but I like a lot of his other stuff and I need to add that to my library. Also love the Marvin Gaye and APC dig. And keep posting other stuff you run across or know of. I aim for this to be a good place to discover new works of art because you can never have enough of those. I'll be back later tonight with a few more mentions.

Hearing this makes my hair straighten, one of my favourite songs ever:

and this one for it's political meaning and the energy the band puts in when playing it, always move me:

and now for something completely different from the greatest Portuguese guitar player ever:

always feel a hero listening to this:

and this is the most impressive classical music track:

Listening to my favourite band only proves that you must be a nice guy with some good choice and music understanding in general:D! Dream Theater is the climax of metal in general in composition, technique and singing. No other band in the world play like these guys:drool:, they are Maestros! Sociology, psychology and philosophy are every where in there music. -Scenes from a memory- was considered a better conceptual album than THE WALL of Pink Floyd, and that pretty much says everything;)! Inteligent prog metal:tup:!

These are some of my choises to contribute:

If you dont know Transatlantic work, please take some time to listen to this

And the Maestros :D!

Minute 5 is a must

The singing in 6.50 👍

23 chords ( i was told)! You kidding me?!!

Well i have many many songs that make me goose-skin some times! I would have to post at least 30 video songs ! Its hard to choose...

Machine Head - Imperium One of the best metal songs ever written. The intro builds and builds and then at the 0:51 mark, it's go time! It picks you up, smashes your head against the wall, kicks you around. If that wasn't enough, it seems your inability to resist infuriates it as it brings in force multipliers and proceeds to finish you off for good. If I scared you, this video should make you feel better.

Evergrey - The Masterplan The chorus!

Kamelot - Center of the Universe Epic chorus is epic!

Scar Symmetry - Noumenon and Phenomenon Epic chorus is...

...something that cannot stop being sung by me! "Oooh!"

Tool - Vicarious The whole song is amazing, but when it cranks it up at the 7:26 mark, my hair stands up.

Wow!! Some very awesome posts here. I keep meaning to make another post but been busy these past two days.

So many great mentions people have made I really don't know where to start a response so I'm going to skip that and save you guys some reading. But keep up the awesome work!

CoC is one of my all time favorite bands and this song is such a hoot to listen to in the car. I don't know really what to say but at 3:25 it goes from the chorus into a full out jam session. It just picks up so fast and turns into this fantastic display of how we do in the US.

I had to justify all my praising for BLS in past posts in this section of the forum. So I back it up with this work of Heavy Metal perfection. Take Deep Purple and mix it with Zakk Wylde with a beer in one hand and guitar in the other you get this. One of my favorite album opening songs because it takes you from silence to ass kicking from the first shred you hear from his guitar. At 3:18 is typical Zakk solo with tons of riffage and ending the same way it started. Love it.

The best song released last year. 11 minutes of progressive sludge bliss. This is the perfect song to listen to late at night and open that special file on your computer to perform peculiar activities. At 3:45 where it picks up and turns into a jam of altering tempos that takes you into a very Mastodon like journey through the minds of the musicians. 7:27 is where it shifts again after calming down starts it builds up a little again and you reach this plateau of bliss and has a phenomenal solo that you expect from a 11 minute song. This song simply doesn't get old.

I need to go back and listen to some song I haven't yet but keep up the updates.

If you love music, you certainly do, there are some moments in songs (or whole songs for that matter!) that the first time you heard it was nirvana. Like nothing else you'd heard and forever printed to your psyche ever since.

Some of mine include:

Chariots of fire - Vangelis, the whole song
Conquest of paradise - -//-, the triumph part makes my back's hair stand up
With or without out - U2, the guitar parts throughout, the culmination of taste
Hotel California - Eagles, the duel solo
Fur Elise - Beethoven, the main part and the fast playfull part before the end
Das Sprache Zarathustra - Wagner, Genius! Intuitive! Unbespoken!
Sweet child of mine - G'n'R, Slash hit gold with this circus parade
Surfing with the alien - Satriani, the main riff
Every breath you take - Police, the guitar part
Everytime you go away - Paul Young, Paladino's bass playing throughout.
The thin line between love and hate - Iron Maiden - the last part
Un altra te - Eros ramazotti, the vibe in this song
Nothing else matters - Metalica, the sung melody
Back in black - AC/DC, legendary guitar riff, balsy verse
Smooth Criminal - Michael Jackson, the "Annie are you ok?" part
.
.
.
The list goes on and on!

TRUST ME, It is my favorite song of all-time! By Far. For a casual listener, The beginning is kinda boring, just skip to 2:33 & go till the end of the song. You WILL NOT regret it!
