Just put down the name of the Artitst/DJ & the name of the song, & when I say techno I mean anything that you consider EDM or Electronic music.👍

Techno, Electronica, Trance, Drum & Bass, Electro, Dance, Acid, etc...

"Kyoto" by: Ferry Corsten:)

"techno" is a genre of EDM............Ferry Costen is trance.

But knowing that you meant EDM, I'm going to say :

Builder- Her Voice(super Bass Mix).

No worries man and I wasn't serious with my question though lol. Lamb of God is heavy metal and doesnt have any techno songs, I was just listening to them at the time. The only time I really listen to techno is in my friends car, he likes to drive with techno beats going.

Oh...well I knew that Lamb Of God was metal but I wasn't sure if they had a few techno beats like Linkin Park(yes I know linkin park isn't metal but you probably get my point).

How can you guys listen to Techno?? It has it's purpose, manly in a club where the music is merely a background noise/ beat. The majority of Techno is musically lacking. I have only one, techno track that I use as a speaker test, because it quickly runs from extremely low Bass, up to the High-Mid-Range, with some treble-ly sample running throughout (to test the tweeters).

This is only my opinion, but I'm curious about people's fascination with Techno.

I listen to ambient and electronica. yeah, I know to old people it sounds all the same but at least it's not the same sound over and over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over over and over and... over.

That's kinda my point, Techno (all the techno I've heard) is basically a loop, over and over, and over, and over again, with maybe sample or two integrated within. Trying to figure out the fascination. When I lived in Detroit I did some audio editing/ mixing for a few local DJs mainly w/ techno; and though I could produce exactly what they wanted, I never understood the genre.

There's good techno and bad techno, like anything else. Good techno switches things up at least a little bit every few measures. Bad techno sits on the same exact beat for thirty seconds to a minute at a time.

That said, "techno" is often incorrectly used to refer to electronica in general. Real techno is just a fairly high-paced, heavy, and drum-centric variant of electronica, with fairly simple beats. I prefer to listen to trance (more melodic, synth-focused), house (slower, made for dancing, sometimes jazz influences), and drum 'n' bass (extremely high-paced, complicated drum patterns, drum- and bass-centric).

Sample some of the stations on this internet radio site and you might understand the fascination a little better, GrumpEone:

Some of my favorite trance tracks at the moment are The Thrillseekers - Waiting (here for you), Sunlounger - Another Day On the Terrace, and Marcus Schossow - Mr White. Some classics that are some of my all time favorite trance tracks are Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes and Andain - Beautiful Things (this is the dj tiesto remix, performed live at the Gelredome in Netherlands...and yes, she is lip syncing, but the audio is off on that video. It's not noticeable on the actual dvd that video is ripped from)

I'm a huge Tiësto fan and I've been listening to In Search of Sunrise 6 from Ibiza right now. It's pretty good but I still think In Search of Sunrise 5 from LA is a bit better.

I just got some of them... after hearing that maybe I should delete it. I forget the song that made me look for them but it certainly didn't sound like that. :grumpy:

i am pretty sure that song has multiple versions that all vary drastically. its been a while since i listened to trance in general so its probably been like a year and a half since ive heard this song, but if i recall one was was basically just the vocal track and some slow paced synth with no drum whatsoever. idk.

ISOS5 is absolutely awsome! I havent gotten ISOS6 yet.....

One of the coolest songs ever on his ISOS series is a track on ISOS4 called "UR (junkie XL air guitar Remix) here's a sample

If it's been a year and a half since you have listened to trance, you have not heard Waiting (Here for you) then. It was released mid last year. It is true though, that there are several remixes that only keep the vocals and part of the melody. Maybe he heard the Breakfast remix.

The last techno/trance/rave/electronica tune I listened to was PPK - ResuRection (Space Club Mix). It has to be one of the best techno tunes ever.

idk. either im off on my timeframe or its another song im thinking of.

most of the awsome tunes IMO were in the 90's...

Agreed, I've heard very little post-2000 that's been worth going back to like the 90s stuff is, the 90s is where all the Classics compilations content come from so point proven really, it's the stuff everyone knows and loves, not just forget about after a few months.

Still love my first album that I bought ages 8 or 9, MTV Ibiza '99.
