how do i get my gt-r to 300mph cuz i have drift settings and grip thanks all i need speed now.

You go and look in the 300mph hour thread and do a search for Skyline.

Now exactly what your question has to do with which track people use for testing I'm not sure, could you please take the time in future to look for a thread related to the subject you want to discuss.

It's not like the 300mph thread would have been a hard to find

Tsukuba - Low speed turns, etc.

Fuji Speedway 2005 - Top Speed, High speed turns.

Trial Mountain - Initial D anyone?

Suzuka - uh...

Nurburhring(sp?) - Fine Tune or on Tsukuba...

for me, i use the Twin Ring Motegi Road Course all the time. i just like the track with some of its slow corners and its fast sweeps. it also has good high speed parts

That's nice, Skyline07 and it's good that you choose to share your triumphs with the rest of the membership but it might be better if you posted such things in a relevant thread (Moderators tend not to look on you favourably if you just post random thoughts all over the place :)).

I know that there is a slim connection because you speak of using a specific track to practise drifting on {I'll refrain from my normal responses on that topic } but I think that classes as being "on the line" when it comes to topic relevance :D.

i might have serious flaws in that thought, but i like motorland...

its short, got differnt types of corners and its relatively flat.

coming to think about it... i cant test higshspeed behaviour there, but hey, the more interesting cars (to me) i can barely redline there.

Deep Forest to check on my suspension setting because of its elevation changes.

Trial Mountain to test out drift settings. Also with Deep Forest and El Capitan but not as much as I do with Trial Mountain.

Leguna Seca for track use because I oh do so love the corkscrew in that place hehehe.

Finally for speed i go to Le Sarthe 2 so i can test how my fastest of the fastest do on corners.

Low Speed Turns / Grip - Tsukuba Circuit Wet
Max Speed / Acceleration - Test Course
High Speed Turns / Handling - Suzuka Circuit

Nurbergring isn't a good circuit for tests, the course isn't a challenge for the car or even youself, it's so damn easy to handle even the wurst car on this course. It's great for one thing, handling a car in high speed turns, there is over 100 turns on this course but not one low-speed-turn, ye there are a few 180 turns, but they aren't low-speed-turns. But you can get some very great racing on this course and that's very fun, I like this course.

I test at Midfield and Grand Valley for race courses that are smooth. Then I start a second setup at Seattle because it is a very hard track to correctly setup.

...... Uh.... 147 corners and none of them are good?? Are you mad?? :ill:

The only real reason I wouldn't consider the Nurburgring a good test course is because its simply too long: In a slow car you end up sitting there for over ten minutes, which is time you could be spending tweaking your settings. Other than that though I think the 'Ring is great... I mean it was DESIGNED as a test course.

EDIT: Oh yea, and I like to use a track that suites the car I'm using. A historical track for an oldie, an American track for an American car, etc. The only consistency I really use is the 400m run.
